Silver Wish

One of his main hideouts in this area was an old studio five blocks away from the place he met Lila originally. Two and a half weeks went by since that day, and ever since, Kiryu gradually saw Lila more.

"I know I said you could come, but why do you show up here more than once a week?" Kiryu said skeptically as he looked at the girl who was currently cooking.

"But one day isn't enough, Kiryu! I need to make sure you eat properly."

Kiryu did not say anything to that. This is partly his fault before he only came to this place briefly and not on any specific days. But ever since his Monday agreement with Lila, Kiryu came here nearly all the time now.

"So, I spoke to Haruka."

At that comment, Lila turned around. "What did he say? Is he okay? Did he miss me?" She seemed frantic and distressed.

Even though she remains calm, Kiryu understood that Lila missed her husband more than anything. She must be in so much pain because she cannot meet with him.

"He missed you a lot. He said he found a pilot who is willing to bring him here, but I told him not to use it. It's too dangerous." Kiryu explained. He understood that Haruka took precautions; otherwise, he would have gone to see Lila a long time ago. But that is exactly why.

Kiryu understood Haruka's feelings regarding Lila very well. Even if he thinks he is careful, he could have slipped up.

He watched as a sad expression fell on Lila's face, and Kiryu sighed. "I will secure a safe line for him. But that is all I can do. When he gets here, he has to find you alone."

Kiryu brushed his hands across her forehead. "You look a bit flushed. Do you have a fever?"

"I'm fine."

"Seriously, though..." Kiryu trailed off when something came to mind. "When was the last time you slept?"

"Well..um..."

"Hey."

"Probably seven days ago?" Lila replied vaguely.

Kiryu did not know what to say to her then. A troubled look appeared on his face. She was careless before all this, and yet what is this? It was not this bad before. Did she get this bad habit from Haruka?

"Its okay Kiryu, you may not know it, but I have more stamina now than before."

"So, because you have more stamina, you haven't been sleeping?"

But he knows her personality very well. She came here to Star Town and left Haruka behind due to her strong resolve and willpower. She sacrificed her peaceful days with her husband and came here amid chaos.

"Lila, stop that. I will take over, and you go to sleep. The bed isn't very comfortable, but it should be better than nothing."

At that comment, Lila switched the stove off and picked up her bag. "I brought you blankets.."

"..Use it for yourself for now." Kiryu was a bit shocked when he saw what was in her hands. What is she doing to this place?

Ever since he Rosalia kidnapped him, he went through a lot of torture and pain. At the end of all of that, his hanyou side activated and remained permanent. He could no longer return to his former appearance. His hair color seemed more white than silver these days and his eyes bloodshot red.

Kiryu saw her stagger and sighed. He picked her up in his arms and walked across the room.

He kicked one of the doors open and placed Lila onto the chair by the bed. He exited the room, picked up the bag with the blanket, and returned to the room.

Lila sat there all obedient, but it reminded him of something. Something like this happened before, did it not?

Kiryu quickly arranged the sheets onto the bed. The cold bed suddenly looked a lot more comfortable. He picked Lila up again and placed her down carefully.

Lila laughed softly. "Um..."

"You seriously drive me crazy. I can't be with you anymore, so you should look after yourself." Kiryu mumbled. He understood that Lila has important matters to handle. But, "You make me worry."

He already misses her every day, does she have to make him worry too? Geez, this girl, frustrates him.

"You can't be with me anymore?"

Kiryu quickly realized what he said and looked away. "You know it isn't like that."

Lila paused but nodded. "Okay, I get it."

Of course, he wants to be with her. But even now, he understood. Lila only comes to see him because she is lonely. If Haruka was around, she would not meet him so openly like this. He wants to hold her; he wants to hug her tightly. But if he gets close to her, isn't it bad?

Kiryu debated for a few minutes but saw her shift uncomfortably. He joined her on the bed and pulled her into his arms. Lila kept laughing.

"Damn, you know I am holding back. Why are you doing this to me?"

Her gaze softened. "I missed you, Kiryu."

She did, huh?

"But I miss Haruka more. I want to see him."

Her honest words pained him, but he knew from the very start. Lila will always love Haruka. No matter how close they get now, her choice will not change. She liked Haruka from the beginning. Even when they were together, there were days where it looked like her gaze was elsewhere.

Kiryu ċȧrėssed her hair. "Should I take you to him?"

It was something he wanted to avoid suggesting before. It would be easy for him to take Lila back to New York. But it would not go undetected. Right now, Rosalia is leaving Lila alone due to their deal. But how much longer will she do that?

He cant allow Lila to get dragged into that woman's crazy schemes. It will be better for her to return to Harukas side.

"If Haruka wants to meet me, he will come here." Lila trailed off.. "You know I am afraid."
