Silver Wish

Kiryu sighed when he heard those words from her. "I've changed Lila. I am not like how I was before." If she knew what kinds of things he did during there time apart, how would she react? Would Lila hate him this time around?

"But, your still warm, Kiryu."

Huh? How is he warm? Didn't she feel how cold his skin is? This girl is as weird as ever.

"Thanks for this." He pointed to the almost empty chocolate bar.

Lila laughed softly. "En your welcome."

"You still look a bit thin, are the supplies not enough?" Kiryu asked.

"Ah, sometimes I don't have much of an appetite, and Im working till late too."

Kiryu frowned when he heard those words. During this crisis, he knew what kind of work she was doing. What else could it be? As the heir to the Terashima family, Lila must be appeasing the hanyou side right now. She must be making sure that nobody is trying to take advantage of the current situation.

He brushed his hands across her cheeks. "Don't push yourself too much; you can relax more. The other guys are there with you for a reason; they are more than capable of helping."

"En, I know, but I end up restless when I am not doing anything."

Kiryu immediately understood the meaning of her words. When she is not doing anything, she must be thinking of Haruka. It must be painful for her to be away from her husband right now. "I think you should go and see him, or at least contact him."

Weak laughter escaped Lila's voice. "I tried already, but a different person picked up. I think he changed his number.."

Is that what the issue is? Kiryu dove into his pocket and eventually found what he was looking for. He placed it in her hands. "Try this."

Lila looked at the sheet of paper. "What is it?"

"I ran into somebody who knew Haruka recently. He is the one passing on Haruka's messages. I am sure if you introduce yourself, you will get in contact with your husband."

"I see." Lila trailed off. Kiryu noticed her downcast expression. "You know I think I am afraid, after all. I am afraid that Haruka no longer loves me. I already saw how much he cared for Rikka-san. I saw it with my own eyes, and yet I still couldn't do anything."

"Lila."

"I miss him a lot. But I am too scared to see him. I am worried that if I see him again and he tells me he no longer loves me..." Lila didn't finish her sentence since they suddenly hear voices from outside.

"Lila? Hey Lila?!"

"Shichiro.."

Kiryu patted her back. "Get going."

"But.."

"I come here every Monday; you can meet me here. If im not in this place, there is a larger warehouse nearby here. I use it as my safe house."

"Oh, um but what if I want to call you?"

Kiryu paused and took something out of his pocket. It was the other phone he carried around. "Take this with you."

If she uses this other phone, then it shouldn't get traced.

When Lila left, Kiryu didn't waste anytime calling that person.

"Haruka?"

He hears a shuffling sound and eventually hears a familiar voice on the other end of the phone. "Hey, you finally contacted me."

"Was that Shinozaki?"

"Yeah, she said something about her shoulders hurting, so I was applying some medicine."

"Go and see Lila." Kiryu didn't bother to reply to that.

"You've seen her? Where is she?"

Kiryu blinked when he heard those words. Huh? This is different from what Lila said. It does not seem like Haruka thinks they are together right now.

"You don't think we are together?"

Haruka paused. "Well, I did initially, but then you wouldn't try so hard to avoid me if you were with her."

"I see. Well, I saw her earlier, and she looks like a reck; she is skinnier than before too."

Haruka sighed. "That idiot."

"Go and see her."

"I will. I am booking the flight right away. I managed to find a pilot that will get me there." Haruka trailed off. "Do you think this would be the best time to bring her presents?"

Kiryu deeply sighed at that comment, why does he have to listen to their flirting even now? But then again from the sounds of things, Haruka is still madly in love with Lila. If it is like this, he does not have to worry, right? But what is this strange feeling?

"What is that stuff on the news?"

"All fake." Haruka sighed. "Well, I didn't think they would try the same trick I did last time with the fake me, but this is a good time for them to do it. We cant hold a conference to clarify anything."

"I trust you." Kiryu managed to say. "But you understand, right? Lila gets uneasy; she is terrified right now. Please try to meet with her as soon as possible or call her."

"I can't do the second thing. Zane might find her. He is still closely watching me."

Kiryu frowned. Why did it all sound like excuses to him? If Haruka wants to see Lila, he should take the risk even if Zane does find out. What is important right now is Lila's emotions. Haruka must have understood from his silence since he sighed.

"Can you get me there?"

"Huh?"

"I mean, you should be able to. Find a safe way for me."

Indeed it wouldn't be difficult for him to bring Haruka here. However, he recalled the reason why he was in the area. "Give me a month at most. I wouldn't trust that pilot you found either."

"I really want to see her.. Kiryu."

He bit his lip. "Hold on. I will send you a few things." Kiryu played with his phone a bit and sent him the images of Lila. He genuinely wanted to keep this stuff to himself. But Haruka is the husband.

"Hey, why are you taking photos of her?"

Kiryu sighed. "Well, it was an accident."

"I guess I cant lecture you, thanks for this. Could you tell her next time you see her that I will see her in a month? She needs to gain some weight before then."

"Haruka!" A familiar voice snapped. "Hurry up, Im getting hungry."

"Yes, yes," Haruka responded.

Kiryu wanted to say something but held back. After a few more parting words, he ended the call. His gaze fell towards his surroundings.. The patrols in this area should have stopped now. It should be okay to leave right?
