Silver Wish

Now that the situation involved hanyous, Lila understood that it would depend on her choices from now. From now on she cannot be a simple external party. If those people are hanyous then as the heir to the Terashima family, she has to take charge. It is a good thing that the child is not with her.

She doesn't know what Kiryu did with the kid. But she trusted him. If it is Kiryu then the child should be fine. Even if he is in that weird state, Lila trusted him to keep her child safe.

"I will check over there."

Shichiro looked like he wanted to stop her. "Are you sure?"

"It's okay." It's not like she is pregnant anymore. While her skills are not like before due to her current condition, it was not like she could not fight. She is not so fragile that she needs constant protection. Lila, however, did not say those words as she turned to the left.

She walked down several paths and turned before she arrived at what looked like an old abandoned warehouse area.

Lila examined them one by one, hoping to find a clue. But the last thing she expected to find was the person she was searching for. Is it genuinely him? Lila lifted her flashlight. Though it was still day time, the buildings in this area are very dark.

She took a few steps forward, and she felt her heart clench in pain when she saw silver hair. Kiryu....it's really him.

Kiryu was fast asleep and leaning against the wall.

How could he fall asleep here so carelessly? This idiot. Does he not realize how many people are searching for him right now? He looks so pale and thin. Even though it should be easy for him to get resources, after all, he is the one supplying them with food.

Lila looked around. The child isn't here, but she thought as much. Kiryu would not bring the kid along to a dangerous place. The reason he took the kid away, she still does not understand.

All she knows is, she missed him so much. For so long, she missed him.

"Quick, there he is!"

"Wheres the kid?"

"I don't know. But if we get him, we will get the child too."

Kiryu clenched his fists when he heard those words. They want her child? Like he would let them. It was a good thing he decided to split off from Lila and the guys. It was a good thing that he took the child too. If not, then by now, something unforgivable would have happened.

That was what happened earlier, so what is this? Back in the present, Kiryu looked at the girl who had fallen asleep and was hugging him so tightly. He already knew from her scent alone who it was. No other girl should be able to get near him now, the only one who could is her.

His Lila, he missed her so much. Kiryu weakly ran his hands through her back.

She probably heard the news and came here to confirm it. Kiryu did not like that, though. He could already imagine the looks from the people in Hyou4. Before he went renege, he was the one leading those people—the special force Hyou4. Kiryu knew what people were saying about Lila.

The girl stired awake and looked at him with a pained look in her eyes.

He needs to push her away and scare her like he did last time. Kiryu understood that better than anybody and yet seeing her again like this... He brushed his face gently against hers. "Sorry."

"Sorry?"

"For leaving you again."

Lila bit her lip and shook her head. It looked like she wanted to say something but stopped herself. "I missed you."

"Yeah." Of course, he knew. He could hear her voice clearly whenever he went nearby her place.

He also knew that she has not seen her husband since then. Lila buried her face in his arms and held him tightly, unfortunately this led to him yelping in pain.

"Ouch."

"I missed you, can I kiss you?"

At that comment her cheeks coloured and she looked away. "If you can say stupid things like that, you'll be okay."

"Yeah."

But he did want to kiss her. It's tempting but he doesn't want to risk it. He can't risk it.

"Sorry but do you have any food on you? I'm a bit hungry."

Lila pulled out her bag and emptied it. "Ah!! I found some chocolate."

"You shouldn't be snacking every time you go out."

Lila laughed softly. "Ah, but I suddenly started to like chocolate due to my pregn--" The girl's cheerful tone suddenly fell.

"She's safe."

"Can I see her? Please."

Kiryu shook his head. "I don't think you should." That child is far too dangerous. If Lila met her daughter now then she would certainly…

He picked up the chocolate from her fingers. "I'll eat this, thanks."

"Say--Say Kiryu."

"Hmm?"

"Um, could you tell me what's happening?"

"You can't tell from looking at me?" Kiryu pointed to his eyes now permanently red. "I lost control of my human side, and now I'm always like this."

Lila tilted her head innocently. "Do you think that would bother me?"

"Well no, I know you. You won't judge me. But, I can't control it very well Lila. I maybe fine now but it doesn't last long."

"I see, so you can't go back with me?"

"No. I told you already, just forget me and live your life peacefully. Besides what's wrong with you? Why haven't you contacted Haruka?"

Lila sighed. "Why would you ask me that…"

"He is your husband."

"I think I still love you."

Huh? Kiryu blinked and looked at her surprised. "Don't get me wrong, it's not like I want to get back together. It's just, I thought maybe I need some space from him." Lila trailed off. "I want to understand first, and sort my thoughts out."

"Those rumors about him aren't true."

"I know that too." Lila laughed. "That person is helplessly in love with me. I trust him."

'It genuinely seems like she trusts Haruka. That's good.' A pain appeared in his ċhėst but Kiryu shook it off.

"So will you meet him soon? Tell him to stop bothering me."

"He's tried to contact you?"

Kiryu sighed. "That guy understands me better than I thought. He also asked me to look after you. It seems like he is under the impression we are together or something."

"I thought so, that idiot…"

"Are you okay?"

"I--I just feel a little uneasy." Lila mumbled.

Kiryu extended his hand out and ċȧrėssed her cheek. "Sorry my hands are cold. But please don't be uneasy, everything will be okay soon."

Lila looked at him with wide eyes

"What?"

"I was just thinking, you haven't changed."
