Nikita

Chapter 115 - Who Are You?

[ARYA]

"Well, since it's just us girls, how about we make this conversation easier and end this shit, right?" Rael said to Arya.

She was already bored just staring at Arya, and she ended something better however it was somewhat of an honor to know that of their team, Nikita had trusted the two of them to fix the mess that was Arya Knight.

Surely there would be better times for them other than this abandoned facility in the middle of nowhere, right?

"I know it will save us more time and probably give us the chance to play poker…you like poker?" Morgana asked, but Arya just rolled her eyes. She had a feeling that this was what he would be doing for the better part of the day; that is, this moment didn't last until tomorrow.

As much as she wanted to take pride in the women in front of her, Arya needed more to work with. She needed to know whether they knew what was happening with Nikita, but it wasn't like she would switch sides that easy. What the hell was this?

"I'm an open book; ask away," Arya said, and Rael smiled sinisterly at her.

"Well, the first one is, who are you? I know you're not Samantha, and you sure as hell are not Lyne Volkov," Rael said, and Arya snickered.

She had expected this.

If she wanted to hide, she could have erased her past or even put a past that didn't make sense, but she didn't bother. She knew this would get their attention, and she had been right. The curious women had known who she wasn't, but were they prepared to know who she was?

"You tell me, who do you think I am?"

"I think you're a girl obsessed with the boss," Rael said, making Arya roll her eyes. Hers wasn't an obsession, it was kinda like a couple thing, but these humans wouldn't understand.

How was she supposed to explain to them how the mate bond worked when they were here thinking that she wanted Nikita probably for his money?

The woman was born in gold. She grew up in gold, and even though she had rejected the gold, that song meant that her people wouldn't get her tons of it if she wanted. All she had to do was to give the command, and she would get what she needed.

She wasn't obsessed; she was warming up to her mate in the only way that a rebel like her knew how. Sure, it was weird and cruel, but what option was there, right?

"Surely that is not the only thing you guys can think of, no?" Arya said. They were all seated, like best friends who had finally reunited. They looked at each other, both of them with something that they knew would break the other.

Arya knew about the history of the legion. Even though their secrets had been hidden under piles and piles of paperwork, she had learned a few things about the women in here, not that he would use their traumas to get to them. That would be a dɨċk move, and she didn't want that.

She didn't want to force them back into their mental shells just because she was curious about Nikita. Sure Arya was cruel, but she wasn't that cruel. At times, she was humane and knew where the lines had to be drawn.

"Either that or you're a stranger, or you're too good at hiding who you are. Anyway, we were to talk like girls; tell me, who are you?" Rael asked again.

Her patience was beginning to run out.

This had been Morgana's idea, to try and talk to Arya like an average person, but this girl was nothing close to normal.

Arya was a wild woman, a girl who knew more than she needed to know, a girl who wanted things to happen between her and her mate, but one who wasn't courageous enough to walk towards Nikita and tell him of the unfortunate fate they had been bound to.

"I am a girl, just like you, or rather a girl in tech who wants something only Nikita can provide," Arya said seriously. She had been honest with them, and it wasn't her duty to make them believe her.

For all she cared about, Arya would have been so thankful if Nikita opened the door right now, but would he? Was the doctor playing by the rules while his people were here?

"What should I call you then? I can't call you Samantha or Lyne; at least tell me what your name is," Morgana asked, trying to appeal to Arya, but it wasn't going to work. They had just to give up and let things be.

"That, you'll have to earn it," Arya smirked. She knew she was getting on their nerves, and clearly, Rael and Morgana were working on a tight deadline, and Arya had figured that out by the way Morgana kept checking her phone and even the anxiety that Jacob was showing.

They needed results, not a stupid ȧss pep talk. Even though she had not been on the outside, Arya knew that time was running out. She had been here for a little over three days.

"Hey Rael, since she won't talk, how about we just electrocute her or just force the truth serum down her systems, no?" Morgana asked, making Arya snicker silently.

They would never accept the truth, and she wanted to tell them that there was nothing that could prepare them for who she indeed was. No amount of sanity would make it better for them, absolutely nothing. But she would give them that if they wanted her to, right?

"I think we can use the truth serum as the last option; that should really work for us, y'know," Rael said.

"Well, you do have a point. So how do we do this?" Morgana said, her tone of pretense showi ng up. She knew what they were to do next, but she was somehow hoping Arya would make their work easier.

"Take her to the other room. Hopefully, she will crack," Rael said like it was the best idea she had come up with. Whatever this room was, it had to be a terrible place for them to want to take her there as their option.

Of course, they wouldn't retire her in the investigation room where they always brought their prisoners. That would leave them with too much to clean.

"If she doesn't, then we can just force the truth serum on her. Which room are we using?" Morgana asked like she wwasn'tsure what room Rael was talking about.

""he room,""Rael said.
