Naruto - A Cursed System

Chapter 27 - First Day as a Servant/Bodyguard! [Revised]

Warning! I have deemed this chapter as the most useless chapter I have ever written! Well, that's my opinion.

This chapter was revised to fix a *small* piece of info. If you already read this, you don't need to reread it.

*Yawn*

Yukio woke up and drowsily yawned. He rubbed his eyes as he recalled what had happened yesterday. He still couldn't believe all that had happened and wasn't just a dream.

Since it was his first day as Satoru Gojo's personal servant and bodyguard, he woke up early, very early. The sun was nowhere in sight while the sky was as black as night.

'Did I wake up too early?' Yukio turned to look at the clock and saw that it was currently 4:00 in the morning.

Generally, he should have slept the recommended ten hours that a child around his age should sleep for. However, he learned that his stats also affected how many hours he required for a 'good rest'.

Yukio got up and carefully walked around Hex which was curled up and sleeping on the ground. He went to the restroom to get himself cleaned up.

*yawn*

After Satoru spoke with his father, he gave Yukio a tour of the Gojo Clan's territory. He also accommodated a small room just for Yukio, though it was smaller than Satoru's room, it was enough for him. It was located near Satoru's so that he would generally respond first if anything happens.

After Yukio cleaned up, he wore a Gojo Clan uniform prepared just for him last night. Though, it seemed that Satoru had a hand in what he was wearing as Yukio's uniform was primarily black with the Gojo Clan symbol on the back. He remembered that the other servants or workers had gray to white uniforms.

'I don't think he is awake. But he isn't a normal person. Maybe he is awake.'

Since it was still very early, Yukio quietly made his way. He passed by others who were also awake just like him, but they didn't notice him at all.

'I wonder what I should make. I've never actually made breakfast before in this life. Hm... I should first watch how everything works first.'

=====

Yukio was wiping down Hex's carapace while sitting just outside Satoru's door. He had already given him his breakfast and was waiting outside as Satoru was now changing out of his pajamas.

"Look at you now, Hex. So shiny. Who's a good centipede? You are! You're so cute, here have a toad." Yukio summoned a toad and watched Hex destroy it.

He heard the door open and immediately sat up and greeted his boss, "Morning, Satoru."

Satoru didn't say anything but glared at him. He still remembered what this kid had done to him when he brought his breakfast.

Yukio pretended not to notice and simply hummed to himself. He knew Satoru didn't hate him, he was just cranky from waking up too early.

"Let's just go." Satoru sighed as he walked down the halls.

Walking behind him, Yukio asked, "Where are we going?"

"I don't know. We're probably going to watch a movie."

"What about education and training?"

"We'll officially start the next day."

'This is like the last day of summer right before school starts,' Yukio thought before responding, "Okay! Let's go!'

=====

For the first half of the day, the two spent their time watching movie after movie. Though, Yukio found most of them either boring or unenjoyable to watch.

He wasn't used to watching movies of such low quality, even if it had been years since he last watched one.

Though, while watching them, he remembered that some movies from real life were considered canon inside JJK. There were also references to other stories in the anime like Naruto.

When it was time for lunch, Satoru took him to a restaurant where Yukio disguised himself as an ȧduŀt pretending to be his father. Needless to say, Satoru became more and more interested in Yukio's (fake) cursed technique.

During lunch, Satoru quickly learned that Yukio was clueless about a lot of things in Tokyo, and Japan in general. Though he had some questions about Yukio's origins, he didn't care enough to ask for answers.

After lunch, they went to the shopping districts to purchase stuff. While there, Yukio managed to find a place that sold mangas, but none of them were Naruto. He ȧssumed that the Naruto manga hadn't started publishing or something.

While in the shopping districts, Yukio was the only one buying stuff. He bought school supplies, more clothes, and other miscellaneous items.

Satoru offered to help pay for stuff, but Yukio kindly declined his offer. He still had quite a bit of money left over from his pickpocketing spree. He didn't need to go back to his side-job for a while. Though, it would be good to try to advance the skill.

'Hm... Do I get paid for being a servant? I should ask him.'

"Satoru!" He called out to the boy walking in front of him, "Do I get paid for my services?"

Satoru looked at him with a deadpan expression, "No. You don't even act like an actual servant or bodyguard."

"Wha? But I'm such a high-quality servant! I am good at disguising as other people!"

"You're more like a ninja or ȧssassin then. Besides, if you think about it, you don't have a salary because the Gojo Clan is willing to teach and train you for free."

"I... That makes sense..."

After Yukio purchased what he needed, they returned to the Gojo Clan household and prepared for the next day.
