It was Yukio's second day as Satoru Gojo's servant and bodyguard. However, there wasn't much servitude today since it was the day they started learning and training to become jujutsu sorcerers. Though, for some reason, Yukio's heart leaned towards becoming a curse user.

Due to the differences in position as well as cursed techniques, Yukio and Satoru were taught by separate teachers.

Thanks to Satoru's influence, Yukio was taught by an old expert who affiliated themselves with the Gojo Clan and became a servant.

His teacher was old, but not too old. Yukio guessed that he was nearing seventy or something, he didn't know. Despite his age, the man was very handsome. Yukio believed that if the man walked out in public, people would ask for autographs or take photos with him.

On the other hand, Satoru was taught by several elders who helped him progress through the abilities of his cursed technique, Limitless. Yukio didn't know what they looked like, but he imagined them looking kind of like his own teacher.

Today, Yukio was learning about jujutsu and jujutsu sorcerers. His teacher's teaching plan was to teach the three separate pieces of information over the next two days.

The information Yukio learned in those three days could be summed up like this:

Jujutsu, also known as jujutsu sorcery, refers to all the spells and skills sorcerers and cursed spirits can use by manipulating their cursed energy.

The term 'jujutsu' is an umbrella that encompasses all curse-related mystical arts. It is also often used as a prefix for the vast majority of terms within the jujutsu society.

The Heian Era was the height of cursed techniques and the golden era of jujutsu.

Cursed spirits have always been a problem for jujutsu sorcerers in every era, and vice versa. Due to the never-ending wars between the sides that utilize jujutsu, a society of organized humans with the ability to fight curses was formed.

In the present, sorcerer families that have existed for ages control the landscape of their community. The most notable families are the Big Three sorcerer families. They descend from the Big Three Vengeful Spirits who used to be famous sorcerers of the Heian Era.

Sorcerer families have maintained their prominence thanks to their advanced cursed techniques that are passed down through their families. Most of the clans are obsessed with their bloodlines and passing down these techniques. Cursed techniques born from a family's bloodline are known as inherited cursed techniques.

Jujutsu sorcerers are selected and trained through the two jujutsu educational facilities located in Tokyo and Kyoto. Both schools are considered to be the pillars of the jujutsu community.

As the population increases in Japan, so does the strength of curses. In the future, the crown jewels of the Gojo family - the Six Eyes and the Limitless Technique - will help keep the curses in check. This is the primary reason why Satoru Gojo is given such high importance and respect.

Satoru Gojo is the first person in one hundred years to be born with the Six Eyes and the Limitless. Although he only just manifested the Limitless, he had the incredible potential to become a nearly unstoppable force.

As mentioned 'the day before,' jujutsu sorcerers are individuals trained and employed by the two jujutsu schools in Japan to defend humanity from cursed spirits.

The jujutsu prefix is often used to signify their alignment to Jujutsu High. Evil jujutsu sorcerers are known as Curse Users. Those who cannot use jujutsu are called Non-Sorcerers.

Ancient sorcerer families and the jujutsu higher-ups control the landscape of the jujutsu community.

The bȧrė minimum to be considered a sorcerer is the ability to see cursed spirits. As a profession, a jujutsu sorcerer generally possesses high levels of cursed energy and be born with the innate talent to use cursed techniques, which normally composes over eighty percent of a sorcerer's skillset.

Of course, there are main exceptions to this. Those without an innate technique and even those without the ability to control cursed energy at all can become jujutsu sorcerers with the aid of cursed tools.

All jujutsu sorcerers are trained in their youth (~15 and 24 years) at one of the two jujutsu schools. There, they are taught about jujutsu and how to use their abilities to exorcise cursed spirits.

After graduation, alumni sorcerers can become teachers at their respective schools and use one of the two as a home base. They serve as the cornerstone for the jujutsu sorcerer community. They mediate issues, ȧssign missions, and officially establish payroll for all their employed sorcerers. The higher-ups are in charge of the schools and aligned jujutsu sorcerers.

A professional jujutsu sorcerer's primary duties are to complete the missions ȧssigned to them. These missions involve investigated cursed-related deaths and disappearances that lead to a cursed spirit or curse user as the culprit.

All sorcerers are to abide by the strict jujutsu regulations. Failure to do so will lead to appropriate punishments. It is possible to be branded a curse user and become treated like a curse and be marked for exorcism.

Being a jujutsu sorcerer is a demanding occupation. It requires one to constantly face fear-inducing curses and risk their lives to complete their duty. People who can't handle grotesque monsters and gruesome scenes quickly give up on working as one. Additionally, it is lucky to die a normal death when encountering a curse.

As a result of their life choices, jujutsu sorcerers detach themselves from normal society and genuine compassion.. The detachment makes it difficult for some sorcerers to feel compassion in curse-related situations.
