Naruto - A Cursed System

Chapter 26 - Yukio

'How did it get to this? All I wanted was to test out the Six Eyes. Not that I'm complaining.' Dango thought to himself.

Satoru and Dango were making their way towards the Gojo Clan House. It was quite a bit of distance away.

"You should change your name." Satoru suddenly said, surprising Dango.

"Then what to?"

"I thought you liked your name. You're quick to change it, aren't you?"

"I don't mind my name. But I am open to changing it. What do you suggest?"

"How about... Buddy?" Satoru said with a straight face.

For a moment, Dango thought there were black lines under his eyes when he heard the name suggestion. "Like a dog?"

"Yeah." He answered bluntly while imagining Dango as a black dog.

"Give me a different name! I don't wanna be named like a dog!"

Satoru stopped and looking at Dango as if he was gazing at his soul, "How about... Yukio?"

"Hm... That's fitting. I like it!"

(A/N: Apparently 'Yukio is a delightful-sounding Japanese name for boys with a meaning that's equally blissful; happy or fortunate boy. I just searched up "Japanese names that mean happy and went on a website)

It was very sudden, but Dango didn't mind.

If it weren't for his parents' deaths, Dango would have changed it when he became an ȧduŀt. He kept the name in memory of his family.

Now that there was an opportunity to get a new name, Dango was all in for it. Especially since it was a name suggestion from a favorite character!

Though, he did feel slightly guilty for doing so...

When he checked his status page, he confirmed that the system changed his name from Dango to Yukio. From now on, he will be Yukio.

=====

After half an hour, they made it to the Gojo Clan House. They were greeted by the sight of the main building, which is used to greet guests and whatnot.

From what Satoru told him, Yukio knew that the main building was connected to other buildings. Near it was Satoru's house, which is considered the largest one.

The first thing Yukio thought when he saw the house was how big it was. From what he had heard, the 'house' was just the main building that is connected by other buildings.

Satoru and Yukio entered the main building. Immediately, they gained the attention of the other Gojo clan members.

The first thing Yukio noticed was how much contempt, envy, and dėsɨrė were directed towards Satoru. He looked at Satoru and saw that he was expressionless. Either he didn't notice it or he just didn't care. The latter was more likely.

Satoru wasn't the only victim. Yukio was also being watched. Unlike Satoru, the Gojo clan members were looking at him with curious gazes.

Satoru brought Yukio to his room. Yukio was amazed by how large the room was. Furthermore, he noticed it was a one-person room.

Making sure that there was no one else spying on them, Satoru talked to Yukio about his cursed technique. He did his best explaining to explain the concept of jujutsu sorcery as he ȧssumed Yukio was clueless about the concept.

So, he was surprised to learn that Yukio had a good understanding of jujutsu sorcery, though he was missing some knowledge. Since he was knowledgeable about it, he asked to see Yukio use his ninja cursed technique.

Yukio was confused why he ȧssumed he had a ninja cursed technique, then he remembered what he said. he wasn't worried since he was basically a ninja.

Yukio showed Satoru his ability to walk on the wall and the ceiling. Again, Satoru didn't detect any cursed energy being emitted.

Satoru was curious whether or not that was all to his cursed technique, but he chose not to question the technique any further.

When he finished explaining, someone knocked on the door.

"Young Master, your father requests to meet you." A voice spoke out from behind the door.

"I understand. Please come in, Father." Satoru accepted the request as if he was someone in a higher position compared to his father.

Yukio was surprised how even his own Father needed a request to meet his own son.

The door slowly opened and a man stepped inside the room. He had white hair and similar facial features to his son. However, his eyes were nothing like Satoru's. He got onto his knees while his son stood in front of him, looking down on him.

Needless to say, Yukio was even more shocked by what he was seeing.

"Young Master, I am happy to hear that you brought a friend. May I know his name?" Mr. Gojo respectfully asked.

"His name is Yukio, Father. He will become my personal servant and bodyguard-in-training. There's nothing wrong with that, right, Father?"

"No, no, Young Master. Thank you for enlightening me. Shall he be included in your training and education lessons?"

"Yes. How else would he become a proper servant and bodyguard."

"I apologize. Thank you, Young Master. I shall take my leave."

Satoru nodded his head, signifying Mr. Gojo's permission to get off his knees and leave.

Yukio's silently watched Mr. Gojo leave. When he stepped out of the door, Yukio sensed malice and envy radiating from the father.

He turned to Satoru and asked several questions, "Why is he so respectful to you? Aren't you his son? Are you important? I'm going to learn alongside you? I'm a bodyguard?"

"He is only being respectful because of my eyes. Doesn't matter if I'm his son or not. The moment I was born with these eyes, only I matter in this clan, nobody else." Satoru nonchalantly answered. "As for your education and training, yes you will be. As for being my bodyguard, I don't really need one. I just said it to reinforce your position."

'Ah.. So this is plot armor.'
