207. Helen of Troy

Translator: Ahve

Most of the people who were sheltering from the rain had left, so not many people had noticed them two.

The man sighed in satisfaction. He raised his arm and pressed the boy against him, sniffing greedily the fresh smell of the boy’s hair.

After a while, Yan Chuyang started to feel a bit embarrassed. He broke free and said, “Now, let go of me. Let’s go home.”

Wei Qing smiled and let go of him. “You threw yourself into my arms just now.”

“I was just so excited to see you here.” Yan Chuyang pulled the man aside and touched his clothes, frowning, “You didn’t get wet, did you? It’s raining so heavily. You don’t have to come and pick me up.”

“It’s okay,” Wei Qing held the boy’s hand casually and said, “I drove here. How could I get wet?”

Yan Chuyang said, “Aren’t you very busy today? Your assistant told me that you have meetings all day.”

“That’s right. I’m very busy.” Wei Qing suddenly remembered something and asked, “Did you eat the dumplings my assistant brought you at noon?”

“Eh… ” the boy rolled his eyes and coughed, “Yeah, and they are especially delicious.”

Wei Qing grinned, “Are they better than the dumplings that woman cooked for you?”

Yan Chuyang didn’t quite catch what he said and asked, “What?”

Wei Qing coughed and didn’t answer it. He just zipped up his top, “Are you cold?”

Yan Chuyang shook his head and asked with embarrassment, “Did I bring trouble to you? You still come to pick me up when you’re so busy.”

“I’m done with work today,” Wei Qing said softly, “I wanted to pick you up earlier in the afternoon, so I finished it as soon as possible.”

Yan Chuyang heaved a sigh, grim-faced, “Why do I feel that I am now like the Helen of Troy?”

Wei Qing couldn’t help but laugh. He stared into the boy’s eyes teasingly, “You’re not like her. If you are, you should be trying all possible means to enchant me with all you got on the bed every day. Look you at now. Are you counting on the cartoon characters drawn on your underpants to lure me?”

Yan Chuyang’s face turned red immediately and he shook off the man’s hand. The boy mumbled, “Of course not. If I want to lure you, it’ll be very, very… erot–”

The man’s eyes darkened as he said in a deep and mellow voice, “Then when are you going to show me all of you?”

Yan Chuyang’s heart missed a beat as he looked agitated, “Haste makes waste. That day will surely come.”

Yan Chuyang hadn’t been in love before he met the man. He knew little about real desire between a couple. Now he started to think it was time for some missed lessons.

After all, Wei Qing used to be straight. Yan Chuyang really got worried as long as he thought that their first time of making love might not be so satisfying to the man. And what if the man wasn’t interested in him anymore afterwards?

He should take the initiative to impress the man.

The first time was always important. He had to make the man remember it forever and still long for more.

So… it was better to calm down and leave himself more time for preparation.

Feeling the boy was avoiding eye contact with him, Wei Qing sighed and murmured, “You always keep me waiting. When will this end?”

Yan Chuyang didn’t hear it. He just looked into the sky and said, “The rain is letting up. Let’s go.”

Wei Qing nodded. Just as he was about to open the umbrella, a woman’s voice came from afar.

“Chuyang, Chuyang!”

Yan Chuyang suddenly raised his head and saw that Fang Jingshu was waving at him from the other side.

The boy’s heart tightened and he hurriedly walked out of the corridor towards the woman.

Wei Qing frowned and quickly held the umbrella for the boy from the falling rain.

“Why are you here?” Yan Chuyang walked fast to Fang Jingshu.

The woman was holding a small umbrella. She probably ran all the way over, so her pants were spotted with dirt and her shoulders were wetted by the rain.

She took out an umbrella from her handbag and handed it over to the boy. “I thought the weather would change when I brought you lunch today. I wanted to give you the umbrella, but I was afraid that you would be bothered. Yet soon after I left, it started to rain.”

Yan Chuyang took the umbrella, staring at the woman’s wet hair. He felt sorry for her, “You don’t have come just to give me this umbrella. I won’t get wet in school anyway.”

Fang Jingshu said with a wry smile, “I’m worried about you. I still remember that when you were little, you cried a lot when it was raining and thundering outside.”

Yan Chuyang mumbled embarrassedly, “I was a kid then. Now I’ve grown up.”

“Right,” Wei Qing uttered sarcastically beside him, “Back then, someone was never by his side even when he cried so hard. Now he has finally grown up and he isn’t afraid anymore.”

The calmness on Fang Jingshu’s face shattered. She smiled awkwardly, “Yeah, he has grown up. I’m getting too old and shouldn’t keep talking about things in the past.”

“You’re not too old,” Wei Qing said coldly, “You’re too smart. You always want to get forgiveness for nothing. You are never sorry about what you had done to him in the past.”

The woman couldn’t keep pretending any longer and her face turned pale.

“Wei Qing!” Yan Chuyang glared at him. He yanked the man’s sleeve, “Didn’t you say that you will stay out my private business? Can you leave us alone now?”

The man sneered, his voice cold, “I did say that, but that doesn’t mean that I will allow someone with evil intention to cheat you.”

Fang Jingshu suddenly looked up at Wei Qing. “Mr. Wei, I know you are Chuyang’s friend, but I’m his mother. No matter what, we’re family. How can I hurt him?”

Wei Qing looked mad, “Now you say you’re his mother? That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard of! If it wasn’t for that you gave birth to him, you would have been out of this city long ago!”

The man’s tone was so aggressive that Fang Jingshu even felt a chill down her spine.
