Cyberpunk 2074: Shadows of the Past

Chapter 98: Movement 3: March

Chapter 98 The Third Movement: March (IV)

"What's playing?" Yawei wiped his hair with a towel, and walked to the side of the sofa.

"Chopin's Nocturne No. 15 in F minor," said Xita, shaking her white feet and lying lazily in the arms of the sofa. "One of my favorites."

"This vinyl player..." Yawei rubbed Xita's head, sat down, and pushed her to the other side of the sofa, "Did Lucy bring it here?"

"Well, I just came home and brought some small items and a change of clothes." Lucy, who was sitting by the window, nodded her head lightly, "while you use the bath as a means of escape."

"Ha..." Yawei sneered for a moment, did not answer, and changed the topic somewhat bluntly, "Xi Ta likes Chopin's Serenade, how about you, Lucy?"

Lucy glanced at him and sighed.

The endless rain, mixed with the scattered lights, fell vertically behind her, as if covering her with a misty and gorgeous cloak.

"I also like Chopin...especially Chopin's Piano Sonata No. [-] in B flat minor..."

"Funeral march?" Yawei asked back.

"To be precise, it's the third movement of "Piano Sonata No. [-] in B flat minor." Xita moved her foot to her boyfriend's warm belly, and softly corrected him for his mistakes.

"I thought you knew everything." Lucy said softly, wrapping her arms around her legs, curling up into a small ball.

"He's just lazy..." Xita stepped on Yawei and mocked with a smile.

"This is restrained, low-key!" Yawei imitated someone, raised his head, and began to speak stiffly.

"Are you imitating Xita?" Lucy calmed down, and followed up with a knife.

"Ah! Why did you two suddenly team up to bully me?" Xita yelled, sat up from the recess of the sofa, threw herself into Yawei's arms, and started playing with him.

"Cough, I'm still here..." Lucy said quietly.

Stupid couples are good at everything, but they are flirting all the time, and they are very unfriendly to single people like her.

"Hee hee, it's all together now." Xi Tan finished the little fight with Yawei, panting slightly, with a strong smile in his words.

"You and I treat him, you and him treat me, and I and him treat you..." As if chanting a tongue twister, a smile appeared on the corner of her mouth, and it was rare for Lucy to be willing to participate in such a childish game.

Yawei also heaved a sigh of relief when he saw that the atmosphere had successfully become active.

"Where did we talk just now? The third movement?" Xita leaned on Yawei's shoulder and asked in a low voice.

"The third movement..." Lucy nodded, "But now in 2074, it is rarely heard."

"After all, death is too common, but few people can afford the funeral expenses." Xi Tan sighed.

There are too many people like her before, still struggling in the gap between hell and the world.

Unwilling to fall into hell like this, he turned into a ghost, wanted to firmly hold on to the edge of the cliff, and tried his best to climb up.

But when I really climbed up and looked around blankly, I found that the world was already full.

There's no room for them poor worms.

The man's miserable roar turned into an invincible sword, as if to cut through the sky covered with thick rain and fog.

Rottweiler tightly held the sharp blade in his hand, and looked at the former captain and best friend who was kneeling on the ground, with ripples in his eyes.

"Boros, I wanted to turn a blind eye..." She spoke, but her voice was so hoarse.

"But, you really killed too many people..." The tone was surging, setting off a wave, and she roared furiously.

The bodies of former teammates are still dripping with warm blood.

In a street not far away, an innocent homeless man, like his old radio, was shattered into pieces and scattered on the cold ground.

There are too many innocent people, like them, who died silently at the hands of Boros.

"You ask me why, I want to ask you, why! Captain! Boros! Why did you become like this!"

As the roar subsided, the sound of rain rushed up to fill the gap, like a hound smelling blood.

"Why?" Boros stared blankly at his only remaining arm, and kept asking himself.

The brave dragon slayers will eventually degenerate into new evil dragons if they are contaminated with the blood of the evil dragon.

Will he, who has been hunting madness all his life, be assimilated by madness in the end?
"No, this is not right, it's that..." He suddenly understood, and opened his mouth, wanting to tell the truth.

Before the last word fell to the ground, the furious Rottweiler had already lifted the sharp knife, broke through the air again, and turned into a traceless flash.

Helpless, he could only hold up the Mantis Sword, which had killed countless enemies, to resist the attacks from all directions.

The wind and rain were jointly cleared by them, leaving only a dry circular open space.

Boros closed his eyes, stood where he was, and waved his one arm as he wished.

Every movement of the mantis sword would be like a prophetic encounter with the sharp sword attacking by Rottweiler ahead of time.

Without exception.

Three minutes passed, and in an invisible space, a one-armed man with his eyes closed and a furious woman fought close to each other. The swords always touched each other for a short moment, and then quickly separated, like lovers. There were countless passionate and short kisses between them.

No matter how powerful the Sianweistan prosthetic body is, it cannot travel through time endlessly.

And so the fighting stopped.

The tower-like man still stood there, not taking a single step.

The red-haired woman's back was steaming with mist, she held her sword and knelt down on the ground.

Rain came back with a sneer, engulfing both of them in an instant.

"There is a problem with that medicine." Boros said softly.

"Medicine?" Rottweiler asked in a low voice, panting heavily.

"We are drinking doves to quench our thirst..." Boros shook his head.

He looked down at his arm, the indestructible Mantis Sword was covered with broken marks.

"Melissa... is she still alive?" He walked to Rottweiler and helped her up.

"Her? Before I went to buy supper, I told her in advance..." Rottweiler shook his head lightly, "Now I should hide somewhere as I asked."

"Okay." Boros replied.

He turned and walked towards the ruins, towards the blooming scarlet flower.

"Boros?" Rottweiler shouted at the tall man's back, "What shall we do next, stand up and resist?"

"Have you ever liked him? Rottweiler." Boros didn't answer, but knelt in front of Bit's broken body and asked softly.

"Bit...he's a scum...how could I..." Rottweiler retorted reflexively, and realized in the next second that no one would come out to refute her in a hurry.

"I forgot to mention..." Boros lowered his head, "That medicine has the function of greatly improving the function of the brain, so I...even with one arm, I can block all your attacks."

"Boros..." Rottweiler wiped away the tears that accidentally overflowed from the corners of his eyes, and slowly walked behind the man.

"Finally... I'm sorry, Rottweiler..." Boros said softly.

His tone was so light for the first time, like a piece of tender paper, it was easily torn apart by the noisy rainstorm in the blink of an eye.

"What did you say?" Rottweiler shook his body, but got no response.

The man's heavy body fell to the ground, in a pool of debris and blood.

It's like giving my former teammates a windbreaker to protect them from the rain.

"team leader?"

Rottweiler shouted loudly, but there was no longer a thunderous voice that made her subconsciously cover her ears.

he died.
