Chapter 99: Movement 3: March

Chapter 99 The Third Movement: March (Ⅴ)

The raindrops hit the steel body hard, making a loud noise, waking her up from the brief dizziness.

"Jill, are you okay?" With her eyes squinted and in a daze, someone called her name softly.

"V?" She rubbed her head and looked in the direction of the source of the voice.

The heavy rain rode the slanting wind, pushing each other, desperately trying to get in through the crack of the open car window.

V lit a cigarette, leaned back on the car seat, opened his mouth slightly, and slowly exhaled a cloud of mist.

"What happened just now?" Jill shook her head. Even with V's early warning, she took protective actions in time, but was finally stunned by the violent shock wave of the explosion.

"Welcome to Night City... Jill." V murmured softly, breathing in and out.

"Several explosions a day, the situation is worse than I imagined..." Jill sighed, and sat down on the seat, conscious that his future life would be shrouded in a pure darkness where no light could be seen. up.

"Ha, take it easy..." V rubbed Jill's long purple hair as a simple comfort.

"I always feel that you are not in a good mood?" Jill glanced at the burning spark in V's hand, and asked softly.

"Just when you passed out, I witnessed a tragic curtain call with my own eyes..." V shook his head, and casually threw the little fireworks that were still burning in his hand into the turbulent wind and rain outside the window.

The flame struggled a few times and finally went out.

"Hai Ji!"

He repeatedly called out to the figure sitting by the window.

The violent and lonely woman, as always, ignored him immediately.

"Go back?" Mu Lin scratched his head, "It seems to be raining a little less outside... I have contacted the driver and can take us back to our respective homes.

Hai Ji sighed, and his consciousness slowly returned from the boundless void.

"Hai Ji..."

This was the fourth or fifth time he called her name, and the exact number was a little unclear.

"Shut up, Mulin." Hai Ji stared out of the window and said softly.

Then the noisy noise that echoed repeatedly in the ear disappeared.

"Please ask me for a vacation tomorrow... I have something to do, so I won't go to work." She added.

It's like throwing a stone into a calm lake, splashing layers of continuous ripples.

Mullin's mouth began to move flexibly again.

"Tomorrow? Why? A date? Shopping? Can you bring me one? I have a power prosthesis..."

"Shut up." She said again helplessly, the depressed mood in her heart subconsciously dissipated a little, "I'm going to attend a friend's funeral tomorrow."

"Isaac?" Mullin answered subconsciously, then reacted, and slapped himself hard.

"En." Hai Ji responded and ignored him.

Mu Lin opened and closed his mouth hesitantly.

In the end, he just watched Hai Ji's increasingly lonely and cold back silently, and didn't disturb her anymore.

"are you gonna sleep?"

Looking at Xita's figure with the bath towel loose, Yawei asked softly.

"Hmph, I'm going to sleep with my good sister tonight..." Xita stood on tiptoe, swaying from side to side.

"very happy?"

"Don't you think she's gradually becoming gregarious?" Xita jumped up to her boyfriend's ear, whispering in a low voice.

In the bathroom, Lucy was humming a soft melody while taking a bath.

The water droplets across the skin mixed with the sound of raindrops falling outside the window, and they sang together.

"En." He responded, brought a clean towel, and gently curled his girlfriend's wet hair.

Through the towel, the fingertips pressed lightly through the towel, and gently pressed the silver hair like the cool moonlight little by little.

"Thank you, little angel." Yawei said softly, put down the towel, and brought the hair dryer from the table.

The warm wind sounded, and Xita squinted her eyes comfortably, enjoying this warm moment quietly.

It wasn't until there was only a little bit of cool dampness left on the hair, that he drove away the warm wind, and hugged her softly all over tightly.

The water droplets in the bathroom just stopped falling, and a head of brightly colored short hair was wrapped in hazy water mist, and she walked out slowly wearing a bath towel.

Xita got the strength from nowhere, and raised her hands to cover Yahweh's eyes.

"Are you guys performing some comedy?" Lucy asked a little funny when she came out of the bathroom and saw two people sitting together in a funny posture.

"Yahwei said his eyes hurt, let me rub them for him..." Xita wrinkled his nose, and said a lie that could be broken in a serious manner.

"I'm wearing clothes..." With a moving smile on her lips, Lucy raised her eyebrows, and threw the bath towel she was wearing into the clothes basket at the door.

"A fish has been hooked." Yawei closed his eyes, rubbed his chin against someone's head, and added softly.

"I don't care..." Xita glanced at Lucy's clothes, and then slowly lowered the little paws that blocked her boyfriend's sight.

"Whatever?" Lucy picked up the still warm hair dryer on the table and dried her hair.

"It's nothing..." Xita's mouth that had just puffed up became dry again.

"Can I open my eyes?" Yawei asked.

"Yes... yes..." Xi Tan pretended to be impatient and said, leaning her head on her boyfriend's chest, huddled and sitting in his warm embrace.

"Warning you in advance, don't laugh at my clothes." Lucy said lightly, without any emotion from the tone of her voice.

Yawei opened his eyes little by little, saw Lucy's clothes, and almost laughed out loud.

"Is this your own... or Xita's?" He pursed his lips, feeling the muscles on his face stiffen.

"My own..." Lucy looked down at her fluffy pajamas, "Is there a problem?"

"No..." Yawei shook his head solemnly, "I've already considered buying one for Xita..."

"Good vision." Lucy nodded, ignoring the reactions of the two of them, and swayed to the bed in the bedroom.

"What is this? Lucy Rabbit?" Seeing Lucy lying down from the corner of the eye, Yawei lowered his voice and asked the girl in his arms.

"Hee hee, I recommended it to her a few days ago, it's cute."

"Hmm..." Yawei nodded perfunctorily, in exchange for his girlfriend beating him in anger.

"Do you have something to do tomorrow?"

After playing around for a while, Xita panted, lying on Yawei's chest, and asked softly.

"Should be all right? I don't know either. What's wrong?"

"Gloria just sent a message, look." Xi Tan took out a mobile phone from her chest and handed it to Yawei.

"The school is going to hold a parent-teacher meeting?" Yawei asked rhetorically.

"Well, keep reading," Xi Tan swipe down and pull the message, "She also said that she will attend a work-related funeral tomorrow, and there is a time conflict, so please ask us to attend on her behalf."

"Meaning let's go to a funeral? What do you mean by a work funeral?"

"Alas..." Xi Tan sighed, "It's just a formality, to say a few beautiful words for a dead colleague who has never met, and it would be even better if I could squeeze a few tears..."

"It really has the style of Night City..." Yawei rubbed Xita's drooping head, "Go as soon as you go, it will only take a while."

"Now maybe I can hear the third movement of "Piano Sonata No. [-] in B-flat Minor" live..." Xi Tan frowned and said a bad joke.

Still dizzy, not in good condition, everyone must take good precautions
