Chapter 84: Family Reunion?

"Mother..."

Jim was surprised to see his mother arriving here as well. But what made him even more surprised was his younger sister together with his mom, Jade!

Why is she here? Jim never thought that his younger sister would actually visit them. He couldn't help but think deeply if something urgent was going on.

"If little Jade is here and the griffin is here as well now, then..." Jim spoke in a low voice as he pondered seriously. He unwittingly shifted his gaze beside him as he almost died in shock!

"You're right, I'm here!"

"L-l-l-lo-lo!" Jim stuttered as he jumped away in fright.

Bagsak!

With a heavy thud, Jim fell from the tree. Nevertheless, his shock and fright didn't go away even for a little.

Why is he here? Jim tried to push himself against the ground, trying to stand up only to be seated. He really wanted to run away already and use his skill: Exchange, but before he could even do anything, he found the other party already standing right in front of him. Who else could it be other than his grandfather, Laude Jabat!

Jim didn't even know how and when his grandfather came closer to him, or how did his grandfather found him in the first place. What even worse was that the other party had even had the leisure to stand beside him without him noticing it. Jim didn't even hear any disturbance of the air around to at least detect the arrival of his grandfather for at least somehow. Just why the heck did this misfortune even come here?!

"Oh. You really have grown so much in a short time." Amidst his fright, Jim heard his grandfather talking to him as he couldn't help but respond frantically, "Y-yes!"

Jim knew full well that this character was way more terrifying than his mother, making him think that his mother was already the best mother in the world.

If there was an option, he would certainly choose not to see his grandfather ever again. Ever!

But reality betrayed his wish when he saw his grandfather right in front of him. He couldn't help but pray that he was just dreaming. Yes, he must be dreaming! It must be!

"Do you mind if I test you out?" Laude asked seriously.

Jim however almost shuddered to death just by hearing what the other party was talking about. Jim could only hurriedly reply, "No, thanks. I-I'm fine Lolo. Don't worry about it."

"Oh? But I'm curious."

"Ehh!" Jim really wanted to cry. I'm doomed!

"Stop scaring Kuya!"

Jim was just about to give up living when he heard a pleasing voice of a girl. He slowly shifted his gaze from where the voice came from and there he saw his little sister running in their direction.

The moment Jade arrived, she immediately went to her big brother Jim, trying to help him stand up. She also gave a displeased gaze towards their grandfather as Laude couldn't help but smile bitterly.

Ugh. I'm just teasing little Jim why are you being like that to your Lolo?

Seeing the glare of his beloved granddaughter Laude was really helpless as he said, "Ok ok. I won't tease him anymore."

"Hmph. That's more like it!" Jade harrumphed coldly befitting to the attitude of a spoiled brat!

Tease? On the other hand, Jim really didn't know if the world had gone mad already. If that was a tease, then the term 'tease' shouldn't have invented. He knew full well that what his grandfather was saying about testing him out was serious as he could tell that he was about to be beaten up at any moment.

Tease? Tease my ass!

"Kuya are you okay?" Jade then shifted her gaze to Jim as she tapped both of the other party's shoulders. She then stared at his big brother's eyes with a noticeably worried look.

Jim smiled widely as he responded, "Your here little Jade!"

Jim didn't even want to talk about whether he was fine or not because he was obviously not fine! As long as he was within the range of his grandfather, this uneasiness in his heart wouldn't go away that easily.

"Yes. I'm here, Kuya! I really miss you so much!" Jade responded in return with gleaming eyes.

Jim's smile grew bigger as he replied, "Yes."

"Do you miss me as well?"

"Of course. Of course."

Then the two talked with each other as Jade started to share her story while Jim only responded with, "Yes yes." "Really?!" "That's great!" "Wow!" and a bunch more.

Meanwhile...

On the other side...

"How are you son?"

Charley just finished healing her son Jasper. When she saw him being like that, he hurriedly went near him and did an appropriate action.

"Yes, mom. Thank you." Jasper replied as he stood up. This was also the reason why he dared to use such a taxing skill like Possession.

He knew that his mother could heal him at any moment so taking the risk of using such skill to catch the wolf was still fine. But too bad for him, the wolf already had a master. Learning about it could really make Jasper sigh in regrets.

But well, it was still within his expectation. He knew how hard it was to find that kind of beast. He was just grabbing the slightest bit of chance that the beast was available, hoping to tame such a beast for at least somehow.

After all, it was much better to try and fail than doing nothing at all. Many people were like that, they prayed for something but they were doing nothing to get what he/she prayed for in response.

They just kept waiting and when their prayers weren't heard, they would blame all to Bathala. Deeming him as useless and even worse, treating him as nonexistent.

Those kinds of people were just a kind of a useless bunch of trash that couldn't be recycled anymore. If they want something and pray for it, then they should at least have their faith and try to work hard for it.

Not only by believing while doing nothing. Because faith without action was dead. If you believe, you must show it through your actions. That was what faith truly was.

Even if you fail to get what you prayed for, you wouldn't blame anything on anyone and tried to work even harder in response.

Jasper knew this fact. If he couldn't get the Evolving White Wolf now, then he could just work even harder in the future and find such a beast. Or he could as well find and tame the better ones.

After thinking about it for some time, Jasper then shifted his gaze towards his siblings as he asked his mother, "Did you all come for me?"

"Yes. The both of you." Charley replied.

"Both?" Jasper was rather surprised. He was all alone, who was she talking about? But later he just remembered about his uncle Chad as realization dawned upon him.

But his realization betrayed him when he heard his mother talking again,

"Yes. You and your Kuya."

"Kuya? You mean Kuya Jim?" Jasper was a bit surprised. Why would they come for his big brother as well? He wasn't with him though.

"Do you have any other Kuya?" Charley chuckled softly as she turned around and walked towards the direction of pitiful Chad. When Charley saw him in a very miserable state, she couldn't help but remark, "Poor Chad."

The other party had his blood drench all over his body together with bruises and lumps. Just how did he end up in such a state?

Charley didn't see all the happenings here. It was already too late for them to watch the good scene.

At first, they were just wondering what was happening in that place while they were gazing at it from afar. They could feel strong auras from two different individuals and it was noticeable that they were fighting against each other.

Thinking about it for a little while, Charley realized that he recognized both auras as a bad premonition dawned upon her.

After which, they saw the griffin of her father-in-law coming in that direction, rushing in all excitement. As if it just found a prey to toy with.

Charley didn't just watch any longer and went in that certain direction with her daughter as she held her right hand.

Jade was excited knowing that they were going to watch such a good scene. With the help of her mother, she could remain at ease even if all the violent aura tried to touch her.

But when they arrived, Jade was a little disappointed. All she saw were two beasts fighting each other. A gorilla and the griffin of her grandfather.

Seeing that the griffin was trampling over the body of the gorilla made her feel bored. It was no fun at all!

On the other hand, seeing the gorilla in a completely disadvantageous position, Charley tried to stop the griffin. After all, she recognized the beast. That was Bantay! The first tamed beast of her son. Watching the other party being beaten up like that felt like it wasn't right.

Jade on the other hand was just about to ask her mother to try and go on somewhere else to find her big brother Jim already when she suddenly caught sight of what she was looking for.

Jade felt delighted but her delight didn't last for too long.

She saw the other party was clearly oppressed by someone. When she recognized that certain someone who was oppressing her beloved big brother, Jade was immediately angered. She hurriedly let go of her mother's hand and rushed to her Kuya for the rescue!

Seeing her daughter, Charley just let her be. She then shifted her gaze to the other direction as she saw her second son Jasper in a miserable state.

She then immediately went in there to see what was going on.

After healing her son, she also found her younger brother in a much miserable state. Just how did he end up being like this? Charley just found it hard to believe what she was seeing.
