Traveling The Omniverse With Overhaul's Quirk

Chapter 19 - A talk with the Giver pt 1

An: I'm not to sure about this chapter I may rewrite it if enough of you want it.

...

A caucasian man who stood at an impressive six and a half feet and wore a dapper red suit along with dark red dress pants, walked along a series of metal hallways.

As he walked his black shoes clicked against the hard metal ground making his presence rather ominous. Occasionally he would push up his glasses making them shine from the lights above him.

In his hands was a stack of papers and a tablet showing graphs and charts showcasing various profits for the company " Zenith".

Eventually, after a few more minutes of walking the man reached his destination; Two large oak doors.

After staring at the doors for a moment a large threatening smile donned on the man's face before he pushed them open.

What greeted him was a spacious office room that honestly looked like a weird mix of a Sci-fi and Fantasy world. The office had everything a modern office should have, such as but not limited to, file cabinets, a computer, chairs both for the resident and their guests, a coffee machine, along with a nice view of the city below them.

Only these items were replaced with either fantasy or Sci-fi equivalents. Like the coffee machine that reconstructed water into any kinda liquid imaginable, the filing cabinets that sorted themselves, or the computer that despite looking like something out of a science fiction movie had crystals of various colors plugged into it.

However the man, unbothered by this sight, simply waited for the only other person in the room to finish sifting through files.

The person in question was a large seven-foot humanoid creature that seemingly held no features beyond two glowing yellow eyes with a singular black stripe as pupils.

The creature for the next few minutes sifted and read through files on its desk, which was once again a weird Sci-fi/fantasy mixture, before gazing at the fancily dressed man.

Settling its gaze on the still smiling man, the being "spoke".

" Alastor, what is it you need of me?" Asked the being, its voice indescribable, powerful, old.

Only it didn't move its mouth. Instead, the words came from the surrounding area, giving it an oppressive feeling.

Hoping his boss ignored his small flinch at the omnipresent feeling of its voice, the now named Alastor gave the files and tablet to the creature in front of him.

" This is the annual report on the cities occupied by the Supers, sir."  Said Alastor with his ever-present grin.

Silence reigned in the office for a moment as the being read the files. Only the sound of paper flipping and the occasional tapping of the creature's fingers against its desk could be heard.

" What do you make of the situation in Gotham?" Asked the Doppelganger as he continued reading the reports, his tone indicating curiosity.

"Sir?" Responded Alastor, confused as to why his boss would ask him. It's not like he worked in that area of expertise. Not that he wasn't competent, it's just that he worked mostly as the secretary and head of both the Supernatural PR department and one of the magic divisions.

Zenith didn't just have their hands in the superpower business, though that was one of their main sources of income, rather they had a hand in everything. From more mundane things like metal factories to more supernatural products like mass-produced magic grimoires.

"Alastor, you've been with me more than five years and have yet to receive territory to manage, I think it's time to change that. I was thinking Gotham would be a good fit for you considering your…Other side." The boss said with amusement.

At the mention of Alastor's other side, a rather dramatic transformation occurred to the well-suited man.

Horns, specifically deer horns, along with deer ears sprouted from the top of his head. His height increased by five inches, the suit he was wearing morphing to fit him, and his skin turned an unnatural pale color.

However, the two most distinctive changes were how his smile grew to unnatural degrees stretching in ways it shouldn't have been able to, and the appearance of a standing microphone.

The Doppelganger simply stared at the sudden appearance of the alternate form of Alastor, The Radio Demon.

"I take it you like the idea then?" he asked with clear mirth in his voice.

The Radio Demon wouldn't come out like that otherwise.

Radio demon grinned like the maniac he was and went on his usual spewl.

" Oh well of course! I've been itching to get my hands on a buf- I mean territory for a while! And Gotham?! The entertainment that'll fall in my lab would be nearly endless there!" Said the demon in his iconic radio-like voice.

The Giver (An: It's pretty obvious it's him at this point and I don't feel like having to write " The creature" and " The doppelganger" constantly.) didn't comment on the slip of tongue and instead chose to pull out a contract in the drawer underneath his desk.

On the contract, it read " Territory of Gotham, terms, and conditions".

This wasn't just any contract either, instead, it was a binding contract created by one of the many Gift users the Giver had under his control. People who signed it would be compelled to follow the contract to the letter. If they didn't?

Like many have said before, there are fates worse than death.

All of the giver's direct subordinates had at least two contracts to their name, and now Alastor would be no different.

Radio demon took one look at the contract before signing it. Not a moment later it went up in blue fire showing that the contract was now in effect.

" Good, now leave. I have another appointment to attend to." The Giver said with a hand motioning for Alastor's dismissal.

Radio Demon's smile widened even further as he began to leave the office room.

But not before getting one last quip in.

" Oh, and if you would, tell the batman he'd better not interrupt any of my fun," Alastor said as he opened the oak doors.

"I'm sure he already knows." The doppelganger responded as the radio Demon left his office.

Turning to his left, more specifically a dark corner in his office, the Giver continued.

" Ain't that right Batman?"

Not a moment later the caped crusader himself stepped from the shadows.

" We need to talk about Brad Steel."
