AN: Here's a new chapter!

Also I'm sure some of you will notice Mooney won't  have that much in the terms of characterization. That's because I haven't decided whether or not to make her either a love interest or just an important character.

Both would take her character in radically different directions. So for at least this chapter Imma keep her kinda bland and open for interpretation.

Either way I hope you enjoy the chapter. Don't forget to comment, leave a suggestion, and review the book!

.......

~Previously~

The most stunning part about her however was her eyes. One was a dark green while the other was a bright blue. Both held the power and charismatic charm that matched any Don.

This was the leader of the Freak Show. Fish Mooney.

...…..

"I'm quite glad you accepted my invitation to talk, Miss Mooney,"  I said while motioning her to the seat next to mine.

Fish gave a small nod as she sat down with all the grace one could expect from someone of her stature.

I almost snorted from her words.

Her group, small? Please I've done my research and her group is anything but small.

She's one of the few organizations that take in metahumans, mutans, monsters, and even aliens.  That's the whole reason they're even called "The Freak Show" in the first place.

Her group is massive, second only to the larger organizations of heroes.

Honestly, if it wasn't for the Don's gift I'm sure her "little circus" would have taken over Gotham by now.

" I wouldn't worry too much. As I'm sure you do too, I have some of my best on the lookout to make sure we aren't being spied on. " I state as I grab my drink.

The leader of the Freak show raised a singular delicate eyebrow at my words.

" Your best? You mean those big hunks of meat you called your soldiers?"

Tilting my cup at her with a grin I nod.

Or for those in the know, I simply modified some of my marines to be more reminiscent of members of the Officio Assassinorum than a Space Marine chapter.

In fact of the three newly made ȧssassins, two of them were hiding in this very bar, while the other kept watch for any of the Don's forces.

Though Fish gave me an odd stare for thinking my nearly nine-foot-tall Marines could be stealthy I paid it no mind.

" But we are not here to discuss that now are we?" I said as I took a sip of my drink.

Fish straightened herself and nodded.

Though brief, the time for small talk was over.

"Can you do it?" asked Fish, her voice stern, yet filled with some hope.

With a small smile, I nodded, all the while mentally going over the reason for this meeting in the first place.

Hugo was a genius that without the Giver's interference would have no doubt dominated the superpower industry. However, he was of a paranoid mind, which led to the creation of a weakness that would cripple the "monsters" he created without him being alive.

From what little knowledge he had regarding the formula making up the chemical substance Steel knew it was a masterpiece of biochemical engineering. At one point Hugo even combined Kryptonian DNA with a host of others to create a monster capable of fighting the entire justice league head-on, but with the help of the Avengers, they managed to pull out a win.

The one fatal flaw, however, was the dependence Hugo's monsters have for it. Every month the " monsters" would have no choice but to inject a vial of Zurtanium inside themselves, or else face the slow agonizing death of every last one of their cells dying.

Depending on the strength and amount of foreign DNA crammed inside them they could need to take more or even less, and since Hugo was the supplier only so much of it was left in existence.

Of course, others have tried to replicate the chemical, or even try to improve it, but all that came out of it were failures, or worse monsters that threatened the entire world. Even the famous lex Luthor with his 9th level intellect could not fully grasp it.

However, I have what they don't.

Overhaul.

" As my message to you stated, I can fix the problem of your dependence on Zurtanium. All I want in return is a single vial. "

Fish didn't hesitate in taking out a vial that was hidden between her ȧssets and giving it to me.

This wasn't the first time someone wanted a vial in exchange for something.

Most likely in her mind, I'd either make a mess the heroes would be forced to clean up or be killed by whatever monster I create from it.

" There you have your payment. Now fix me." Said Fish while leveling me a glare that would cower most men into submission.

I gave her an amused smirk to show just how intimidated I was by her attempt to intimidate me.

I've seen a lot bigger and stronger even back on my homeworld.

" Give me your hand," I said while presenting my left hand for her to take.

Looking at my bȧrė hand, Fish reached out, before grabbing onto my wrist, tugging me forward, and "forcing me" to look her straight in her eyes.

" You do anything bad to me and I'll cut your throat out, gut you like a pig, and present you before the Don as an early Christmas present."

Smiling, I simply shook my head showcasing I had no intentions of hurting her, while simultaneously calling off my ȧssassins that were dangerously close to cleaving her head straight off mere moments ago.

Fish, seemingly appeased by this, finally accepted my hand.

Unlike before when my targets of Overhaul briefly, and visibly,  disappeared before reappearing, this was instant almost like nothing even happened.

Besides creating my Marines and base of operations during that week of preparations I had been training nonstop to master, or at least reach the same level of competency as the original user of Overhaul. While not there yet I can confidently say I am adept at its usage.

Looking at Fish's reaction to the absence of Zurtanium in her system, it wasn't the most subtle of chemicals with people being able to literally feel it flowing through their bodily systems, I decided it was time to leave.

Finishing my drink I stood up from my seat breaking Mooney out of her stupor.

" If you wish for any more "Monsters" to be cured the same deal will apply to them," I said as I exited the bar, only catching a nod adorned with a small smile as I walked out.

I would have loved to stay and chat to discuss a possible formal relationship between our two groups, but I was on a tight schedule.

Many things had to be done quickly to ȧssure my victory against the Don.

As I am right now won't do, not with the Don's Gift " Domain" which allowed him to have what is essentially reality control in areas he completely has under his rule.

With a wave, my ȧssassins which had protected me until now disappeared to fulfill other objectives.

Meanwhile, I had a certain drugged-up bodybuilder, and a former forensics scientist turned villain to meet.

After that would come a confrontation I both anticipated and dreaded.

A meeting with the clown prince of crime himself.

The Joker

...…

An: Hope you enjoyed the Chapter!

But now I have a decision for all of you to make.

Harem(Max 3-5 girls)?

Or no Harem?

Originally I wasn't even going to think about doing a harem, but dear god is it hard to decide who I want to be the love interest.

Also keep in mind that if I do do a harem it won't be quick. I'd like to actually develop my female characters into confident, powerful women that the MC can rely on when things get tough.

So no catching a girl like a pokemon.

Still, the next chapter is gonna excite you guys for sure.  You'll finally get some answers to some of your questions.

Besides that don't forget to leave a suggestion for what minions our Mc should have. Even if they don't exist in his universe he can still create them!

Same for the love interest, except for the creation part.. That'd be weird, and sad.
