An: Hey everyone! Sorry for being late. I'm pretty sick right now so it took me a while to get back to writing.

Beyond that, I saw a few complaints that the Space Marines( At least my version) were too strong.

To those who said that you clearly do not know Marvel or DC that well.

But anyway hope you enjoy this chapter!

Oh, and I would appreciate it if you leave comments or review they help keep me motivated!

~Previously~

The Marine simply raised his mace and prepared to strike the final blow.

However, he was interrupted by a pair of bat-shaped metal boomerangs.

The caped crusader of Gotham had arrived.

....

Despite being chronologically only a week old, the Marine was no fool.

When the Caped crusader of Gotham, in all his bat-themed glory intercepted the Marine's final blow on his enemy with a well-calculated throw of his signature weapons, he knew he had to retreat.

It was not as if he stood no chance against the Batman, the Bat hadn't been given time to prepare countermeasures for him and his fellow battle-brothers.

No, what he stood no chance against was Batman's Gift.

It had many names given to it by heroes and Villains alike. Eyes of God, selective omniscience, the all-seeing, the all-knowing, and many more.

With its ability to know everything about a person, from their history to what move they would do next, it deserved no less.

However, the marine did not care for such things. He would escape. Not as an act of cowardice, but to be able to serve his lord in the future.

Narrowing his eyes behind his helmet the Marine activated his mace. Its power fluctuating rapidly.

"For the Emperor!"

…..

Steel closed eyes as his second ability from God activated, a power which he's taken to calling omnilock.

Normally such power would make reality itself scream in agony as it struggled in protest against an opposing force trying to manipulate it.

Such was not the case for Steel.

Instead, reality around him shuddered in euphoria, it readily acting upon the commands of his ability.

In these moments he felt as if all of existence was at his fingertips, that with a single tug worlds would die, universes would crumble, and multiverses would implode.

However, he quickly snuffed such thoughts out of existence.

Not only was it disrespectful toward his old life, but he was also the one who chose to go down this path. One with hardship instead of lavish. He would not regret his choices now.

Not when it would disrespect his people.

When the force let up somewhat he breathed out a sigh. Even though he's grown used to it, Omnilock was still an odd experience.

Opening his eyes Steel found himself sitting in a room filled with state-of-the-art computers. Each computer was slim, 24 inches in width, and 12 inches in length with 8k quality.

All of them were connected to a computer case. Its design both esthetically and internally brought over from Steel's world.

On each screen was a live broadcast of all twenty of his Marines. Each of them attacking locations of the Don's territory in duos. The cameras were embedded inside his soldier's helmets to give him a front-row seat.

At the moment, however, Steel was focused on only a singular duo of screens. One which showed his Marines engaging in combat with the Dark Knight of Gotham City, Bruce Wayne himself.

Both Marines fought valiantly. The swings of their maces destroying parts of the warehouse as they simultaneously disintegrated the corpses left by their previous onslaught.

However, though the maces he had recreated from his homeworld were mighty, Wayne with his gift was even more so.

He bobbed, weaved, and ducked with frightening accuracy and ease. Not a single movement was wasteful, nor unnecessary. His ability to perceive people to even the conceptual level giving him foresight-like abilities in combat.

But that was all he did. He didn't strike back, or counter-attack when he should have. Except for the times when the Marines began to retreat, Batman didn't even go on the offensive once.

' He's trying to find information on their boss, aka me.' He thought, an amused smile on his face.

Batman's Gift was powerful, no doubt about it. According to the previous body owner, Batman, with his gift, was able to find a way to banish Darkside's Avatars from this universe permanently with a single glance.

But no matter how powerful the crusader's gift is it would not penetrate something made by the creator of everything.

It was a good thing. But it held some cons.

The main one being Batman would grow wearier, something that anyone could agree is not a promising prospect.

"Things are only going to get harder from here." Steel said out loud as he stood up from his chair.

He took another look at the computer showing the battle between Batman and his Marines before walking out of the Room's door.

His Marines would likely escape. If they didn't? Well, a wild animal when cornered is at its most dangerous.

…..

Normally, such a flaw was trivial at best for Batman. He had lasted a long time without his "Gift" in the past. To him, it was a reliable tool he could fall back on, almost like a calculator.

Never, however, would it be his crutch.

Even so, he couldn't help but be ever so slightly surprised when his "Gift" seemingly for the first time hit a metaphorical brick wall.

Now although he detested the Giver for all the horror he indirectly caused in the past ten years due to his gifts, Batman couldn't help but acknowledge their quality and effectiveness.

His Gift in particular worked on beings even on Darkside's level.

So to see his Gift be stopped, while not shocking, surprised him.

It was this momentary ŀȧpse of concentration as he subconsciously focused on what was blocking his Gift that would lead to both Marine's escape.

At that moment both Marines activated the self-destruct sequences of their maces. A process that despite taking less than a second had been interrupted by the Batman more than a few times.

Their maces blared menacingly, their original blue color turning red.

For a minute the Marines simply stared at the Batman as he glared back, the Maces starting to pulsate as they did so.

Then they sprinted through the broken doors of the warehouse, their forms blurry to the human eye.

Generally, Batman would have followed in an attempt to find their base.

But with the female Capo still alive, albeit bȧrėly, he had no choice but to carry her out of there and to a hospital.

….

An: Meh, honestly that wasn't the best chapter I've written. But at least it wasn't the worst either.

Still, that was the last True action scene for a while. The next chapters are gonna be filled with dialogue, character interaction, and more!

Beyond that, remember to comment on what kinda minions the main character should get! Remember that even if he doesn't have access to them he can still create them!

Same for the love interest..  Accept for the creation part that would be weird and sad.
