An: Imma be honest I don't feel proud of this chapter. I wanted to try a different writing style this time, but to me it just feels off. However, I may be wrong, and it's just my anxiety fuċkɨnġ with me.  But either way I hope you guys enjoy it.

…...

~Previously~

However, as the air began to smell of ozone, and an ominous humming originated from the double doors that acted as the warehouse's main entrance, they would soon learn the caped crusader was the least of their issues.

....

After finishing off the second guard I gave a nod to my fellow marine.

It was time to breach the warehouse.

Both of us unsheathed our maces. The maces themselves were rather unassuming if one was to ignore the arcs of electrical might that sparked off them harmlessly.

However, it was after I, along with my partner, pressed a hidden buŧŧon on the handle that a quarter of the mace's true power showed itself.

First was the intense humming sound that emanated loudly in the eardrums of those close enough to hear it. Secondly, the potent smell of ozone. Lastly, the blinding blue light coming off of our maces.

Thus, with all our combined inhuman strength we struck the doors to the warehouse and the world turned white.

....

Sasha, a Capo of the Don, observed the large ten-foot-tall metal doors of the warehouse with a certain... trepidation.

In general, she had nothing to be afraid of. So this burst of anxiousness and fear is beneath her.

She is, after all, a Capo of the most feared man in America; none dared to cross the family without expecting a quick death. Not only that but she bore a Gift of the Giver.

Abilities that in the hands of normal men made them worth one hundred of her kin, but in her's?

A thousand.

The instinct that she sharpened through working up the criminal ladder of the Mafia warning her of upcoming danger.

Leaning on the railings of the skywalk above, she watched as her crew surrounded the doors and readied their guns.

Sasha and her men wouldn't be provided any additional time to prepare as the entirety of the warehouse was encased in a blinding white light.

....

When the maces hit their target the doors did not simply burst open. Rather the doors found themselves soaring forward, an arc of electricity acting as its propulsion.

In their wake boxes crumbled, the ground scorched, the air set ablaze. Nearly a dozen men and women, dead in an instant.

The Marines did not stand idly by in the confusion. Unhesitantly they strode forth, their massive forms towering over the currently blind and disoriented.

Aiming their weapons, the first shots were fired.

Each shot hit its mark. Leaving behind eviscerated heads and obliterated torsos.

Fear crawled into the minds of the many.

What would they do against such ruthlessness? Killing with ease, effortlessly, so many of their fellow soldiers.

Their fear almost turned to panic until the voice of their leader activating her Gift found itself in their ears.

...

Tilting his head upwards the Marine observed the woman who acted as the leader of this group.

The woman was taller than average, standing at a respectable five feet and nine inches. She had fair skin, piercings adorning her nose and left ear, and a blond bob cut.

She was moderately muscular with a swimmer's build. Her eyes were slightly slanted and colored a lavender purple that gave her a certain allure.

On her person, a black tactical vest atop a nature green camisole, dog tags dangling from her neck, blue ripped jeans, and steel toe combat boots.

Watching as the woman jumped from the skywalk the Marine mentally reviewed what he knew of her.

She would not be an easy opponent.

Sasha scowled and said, " So, what ignorant fool decided to send their lackeys to attack the property of the Don?". Her voice was soft but commanding with a slight drawl.

Content with merely observing the woman as she stalked toward him, the Marine stayed silent

" Not the talkative type I see...Fine by me." Sasha said while hearing the screams of her men being killed by the other Marine. Not bothered in the slightest.

Capo and the Marine stared at each other intensely. The Marine's mace was flashing and the woman's Dog tags glowing as she activated her Gift.

To the human eye, she was nothing but a blur, as she sped forward, covering twenty feet in less than a second.

Sasha aimed a vicious strike towards his ċhėst cavity, fully intending to end this with one blow.

The Marine, however, would not go down so easily and quickly parried the attack before  spartan kicking the woman into a nearby metal crate, denting it.

However, Sasha managed to activate her gift at the last moment, bȧrėly avoiding an attack that blared deafeningly as it destroyed the crate and scorched the surrounding area.

Ignoring the collateral damage Sasha continued her ȧssault, rushing the Marine and landing a hit on his side creating an indentation on his Armor.

Once again the Marine attempted to hit the woman with his mace only for it to fail as she nimbly dodged to the side, jumped, and countered with a wild uppercut to his helmeted chin, his head snapping upwards as she did so.

With the Marine seemingly disoriented, Sasha resigned her fist back, planning on thrusting her arm through the Marine's head, killing him instantly.

Only the Marine was never dazed and simply acted the part so the woman could leave herself open.

It was only after the woman had fully committed to her attack that she realized this, and by then it was far too late.

After tilting his head to the side to avoid Sasha's fist, the Marine gripped his mace tightly, Initiating the full might of the mace, and swung.

The little crew left could only watch in horror as the mace impacted Sasha's torso with a noise they could only describe as a thunderclap.

Sasha did not go hurtling towards a nearby create this time though.

The ground cracked then promptly exploded on impact, kicking up particles that briefly hid both combatant's forms.

When the dust cleared the battered and broken form of Sasha was there for all to see.

Surprisingly she was still alive, albeit bȧrėly.

"W-who are you-u?" Sasha muttered her voice bȧrėly a whisper.

The Marine simply raised his mace and prepared to strike the final blow.

However, he was interrupted by a pair of bat-shaped metal boomerangs.

The caped crusader of Gotham had arrived.

…..

An: Uhh so did you like it?

My favorite part was the space Marines kicking the ȧss of the cannon fodder.

Oh, and what female character should I turn Sasha into?

Or should I keep her the way she is, but you know, loyal to our MC.

But anyway don't be afraid to leave a review or comment.

Remember to comment what kinda minions the main character should get! Remember that even if he doesn't have access to them he can still create them!

Same for the love interest..  Accept for the creation part that would be weird and sad.
