Traveling The Omniverse With Overhaul's Quirk

Chapter 10 - eight: A little bit of home

An: Hey guys and gals here's a new chapter! I've gotten back into the Grove of things a bit so my writing style may be a bit more refined than normal.

Anyway Don't be afraid to comment or leave a review! It keeps me motivated!

~Previously~

However in this particular universe things were different. In this universe Victor was a potential threat even to superman.

All thanks to the man who both ended the golden age of heros and started the age of Villains.

The Giver.

...…

Finally having had enough of seeing his minion be thrashed around by Victor, Steel decided it was his time to intervene. Wesley may be just one of the hundreds or possible thousands of minions he would acquire in the future, but as of now Wesley was his one and only minion. That and having Wesley be killed so quickly would put a bad taste in his mouth.

Thus, it was with a great show of athletic and physical prowess that our protagonist went from his current position to the building in which Victor and Wesley fought in a series of jumps and flips. Upon reaching his dėsɨrėd position, Steel wasted no time crouching low and slamming his right hand on the roof. He had already wasted enough time observing, he didn't want to waste much more.

Not even a second after Steel's landing Victor was instantly ȧssaulted by a quickly made spike consisting of the various materials that made up the building they stood on. The spike was quick and accurate, and would have killed any human that wasn't at the apex of dexterity.

Unfortunately while Victor wasn't at peak human ability, his Gift more than made up for such a shortcoming.

In a flash the spike was cut in half stopping it's ȧssault instantly. A moment later Victor pivoted backwards narrowly avoiding a group of spikes skewing him, courtesy of Steel. At the same time whatever hold Victor had on Wesley was released, causing him to fall to the ground, the stump that remained as his hand gushing blood at a rapid pace.

His eyes landing on his minion's state, Steel quickly realized the nature of Victor's Gift. The thin bloodied lines covering Wesley's body gave it away. Combined with the nearly invisible attacks of the ȧssassin of Gotham made it easy to to deduct.

Walking towards Victor casually, the reincarnated man spoke.

" Wire manipulation, that's your gift, isn't it?"

Though it was only for less than a second, Steel caught it. The trace signs of widening eyes, the split second of relief, and finally a facade of complete calm.

Previously He wouldn't have been able to figure out let alone read someone like Victor so easily. However, thanks to the enhancements he gave to himself, or more accurately his eyes and brain, such a thing was trivial.

Steel wouldn't be able to think much further however.

With a wave of his right hand Victor's nearly invisible wires slashed at Steel's head with the intention to cleave it straight off. This time however Steel knew what to look for, and with enhancements making it child's play, he ducked a split second before he would be decapitated.

Steel wasn't done though. His hand blurring in motion, Steel grabbed the wires with a firm grip. Normally such a thing would fail on two accounts.

One the sharpness of the wires would have cut

through any normal man's hand in half, and two even if it wasn't a regular normal human grabbing the wires it wouldn't have mattered since Victor would just switch out the material making up the wires for something far more powerful.

For Victor's ability wasn't just wire manipulation but wire creation as well. His Gift being able to copy the components of any material and form wire out of them, whether those materials be regular metals like titanium or diamond, or exotic materials like Vibranium , Ninth metal, and even Kryptonite.

Now while Victor didn't possess any of the more exotic materials with the exception of Kryptonite, he did have diamond which should have been capable of cutting steel's hand in half.

It was with the activation of Overhaul that allowed Steel to grab Victor's wires. Dulling the sharpness of the Wires upon contact with the wires.

Victor wouldn't go down without a fight though. Pulling a knife out a moment before he made contact with Steel's hand, he plunged it into his target's ċhėst directly where the heart would be. He expected to see wide eyes and a panic stricken face.

The world didn't grant his wish. Instead he saw our protagonist simply pull out the knife with relative ease, the sound of it impacting the ground ignored as Steel placed his hand over the wound.

After grunting in what looked to be pain Victor watched as the ex-right hand man of the don removed his hand to show a perfectly fine ċhėst.

However, before Victor could even react to such an action the other hand of Steel placed itself over Victor's face and began talking.

" I've always liked Walter C. Dornez from Hellsing Abridged. Before he betrayed the main cast, of course." Steel said in a manner that suggested he was remembering a fond memory.

"His abilities are quite similar to yours in fact, nearly identical really. Though my Sixth sense is telling me yours has far more potential than he ever did."

Glancing down at Victor a smile came over Steel's face. A smile that any who knew him before his reincarnation would recognize. A smile that many would come to either fear or adore in the coming months.

Victor was silent this entire time for he wasn't a fool. It didn't matter what he tried to do, he would die this day. His normally trusted sixth sense that has saved him more times than he could count was silent, beaten into submission by Steel's oppressive aura.

" So it made me curious. With my abilities I could modify, or more accurately Overhaul, anything in existence as long as I have the proper background knowledge. So what's stopping me from bringing a little bit of home to Gotham?" Continued Steel.

In the next moment Victor Zaz, one of the best ȧssassins of Gotham, Don Falcon's personal enforcer, and a rogue in Batman's gallery, died. Turned to dust by Steel's hands.

In his place, from the literal ashes of Gotham's psychopathic ȧssassin Zaz, came Walter C. Dornez, Butler and the personal enforcer of our protagonist.

An: Hope you guys enjoyed!

Also don't forget to leave a suggestion for what kinda minions the main character should have, after all even if they don't exist in his current world our protagonist can simply create them!

Same goes for the love interest, except for the creation part that'd just be weird and sad.
