The Treasure Hunt of an Antique Dealer

Chapter 1861: Too fast to catch up

The Tu-144 airliner is of course safe and reliable in quality, and Zhang Nan will not risk his life.

Many articles in the last life that only copied and did not use their heads said that if you take the Tu 144 airliner, you have to buy the most expensive insurance in advance.

   Is that true?

The earliest source of such a view is almost always articles written in Western media decades ago, and the most adept at Western-style propaganda is to depict the white in black!

The propaganda argument of the Western world must be carefully distinguished. It must not be easily accepted, otherwise it will be second/forced.

Figure 144 was eliminated by the Soviet Union, not because of immature technology, unreliable quality, and lack of security, but because of operating costs!

A cross-ocean air ticket for a Concorde airliner cost more than 6,000 U.S. dollars, while a similarly-distance flight ticket of Figure 144 was only 68 rubles at that time. After the exchange rate, it was less than 100 U.S. dollars for a full charge.

Because of the problem of air tickets, many Westerners had sharpened their heads and tried to get visas for the Soviet Union, and then rushed to Moscow by ordinary civil airliner.

To the Soviet Union is nothing else, just to take a flight operated by Tu-144, and feel the magical feeling of taking the world's fastest and highest flying airliner.

Affordable, plus this series of costs to and from the Soviet Union, are cheaper than taking a Concorde.

Then why didn't the Soviets raise the fare?

Even if the Tu-144 has increased its range after the first engine replacement, Western European countries will not give it a certificate of airworthiness, let alone the United States.

In the social/ism camp, the Soviet airline offered an air fare equivalent to 6000 U.S. dollars. Who would fly?

When the passenger plane was at a loss, I stopped the business not long after I drove it and was used as a fast freighter for a few years, but it was still operating at a loss.

For civil aviation, no matter what it is used for, every flight is a loss and it is too much to bear.

When the Soviet economy generally declines and international oil prices rise, Tu-144 can only be reluctantly abandoned, otherwise the Soviet civil aviation will be killed!

It is really safe, not only because of technology and quality, but also...

There are not many weapons that can knock it down!

Just like what Andre said: "As long as it reaches the cruising altitude and speeds up to the usual cruising speed, most of the world's surface-to-air missiles and air defense fighters can only stare!

The tail cannot catch up, and the altitude is beyond the reach of most surface-to-air missiles.

In this modification, it was newly installed with the radar system of Figure 22M, and the most advanced radar warning system was also installed.

Even if it encounters a large-scale surface-to-air missile interception, because its flight speed is fast enough, a small maneuver within the allowable range of structural strength can throw off the lock-on pursuit and warhead killing range of almost all large-scale surface-to-air missiles..."

Missiles are not as powerful as in Hollywood movies, especially large-scale surface-to-air missiles, but they can't make a turn without hitting a hit.

"...As for fighter jets, like the F15, the main fighter of the US military, the single-seater model can reach the height, but it can't catch up.

claims to have a maximum flight speed of Mach 2.5. Not to mention the limitation of afterburner time, this indicator has only been reached theoretically.

After hanging up the bomb, the maximum speed of the F15 is strictly limited to Mach 1.78, which is still about 10,000 meters high.

Once it reaches 18,000, F15 will be severely underpowered and cannot reach this speed at all.

As for the latest F15E, it is good to be able to fly to 15,000 meters.

F15 is like this, like F/A-18, F16, these can be ignored altogether.

And, boss, you take the Tu-144, except for the African continent, you will almost only fly across the ocean, and there is no possibility of head-on missile attack.

As long as you sit on it, except for a handful of Russian-made interceptors on this earth, there will be no substantial threats. "

The maximum speed of most fighter jets on this planet cannot reach Mach 2.2, which is the economic cruising speed of the Tu-144, let alone the 18,000-meter cruising altitude commonly used by the Tu-144.

Moreover, even under extreme factors, the average fighter will have at most five or six minutes of afterburner. No matter how long it takes, it will run out of fuel.

The maximum speed of fighter jets on paper is mostly used to scare people: like the well-known F14 fighter, it has a practical ceiling of 18,300 meters and a maximum speed of Mach 2.38.

  Ran and egg!

Unless the Tu-144 route happens to be nearby, it will be useless even if you use the "phoenix" ultra-long-range missile!

The ceiling is the theoretical value in the most idealized state, the light/body has no plug-in kind.

As for the maximum speed, it also has to be light/body without an external hanger, and it has to be at an ideal height much lower than 18,000 meters.

   What's more terrible: I can't catch up!

   Open afterburner?

The American fighter said it really couldn't be done!

Theoretically speaking, a fighter can continue to operate afterburning until all the fuel it carries is consumed. In fact, it will consume a certain amount of fuel during the take-off and landing phase, and there is not so much fuel for it to squander.

Like F-14A, the maximum onboard internal fuel is 16,200 pounds, which is about 7,348 kilograms.

The fuel consumption of two TF30-P-414A engines at the optimal cruising altitude and speed is about 4000 pounds per hour, which is about 1814 kg.

This is also related to the actual mounting situation. If you mount more, it will cost more gas.

In the best condition, the F14 relies on the fuel inside the aircraft and can fly up to 4 hours.

But if the afterburner is fully opened, the auxiliary fuel tank cannot be counted on. If the purpose of the afterburner is to achieve the maximum speed, then do not use the auxiliary fuel tank.

At this time, the fuel consumption of the F14 is terrifyingly fast and unbelievable: it needs to be calculated in minutes, and it consumes 2000 pounds per minute, which is about 907 kilograms!

30 times the fuel consumption compared to the ideal state, all the fuel can be burned in just over 8 minutes!

You should know that in an emergency, F14 can release 1,500 pounds of oil per minute, which is about 680 kilograms.

Such a calculation, it consumes fuel efficiency when full afterburner is one-third higher than when it is discharged in the air!

The afterburner is more exaggerated than the speed of the air discharge, so unless it is fatal, the maximum time of the F-14A fighter's afterburner is strictly limited to 5 minutes.

It has 5 levels of afterburner. "5 minutes" is not the limit of the maximum afterburner. If it is full afterburner, then it has to be reduced.

Of course, there are not many monsters with full afterburner fuel consumption like the F14, but generally speaking, as long as the fighter is fully on afterburner, the fuel consumption will increase ten times as normal.

Is there any fighter that can actually threaten the Tu-144 in supersonic cruise state?

There are almost no fighter jets, but there are interceptors!

Mig 25 or MiG 31 will do. For example, the former is a stainless steel monster that can fly for 40 minutes with almost full afterburner!

Those two freaks are scumbags in fighting, but they are the king of volleying large planes!

Of course~www.readwn.com~ Let them follow the picture-144 also under more ideal conditions, in an oceanic environment...

   is still dead!

Now Zhang Nan has his own fleet and underwater power, and everything is for his own safety.

There will be Tu-144, when needed, the speed of running is the first in the world!

My own two 747 and 767 are private jets, and this Tu-144 is my own "business jet".

Just like Pavel said a few days ago: Twenty years ago, the Mikoyan Design Bureau planned to use the MiG 25 as the basis to design a six-person executive business jet for emergency use.

To put it bluntly, in case of a nuclear war threatening to run away and rush to an underground command center outside the capital.

But the thing was only left at the initial design sketch stage, because the experts of the Tupolev Design Bureau found that this project was almost unnecessary to enter into substantive research and design, let alone production!

Because the Soviet Union already had better ready-made goods at this time, that was Tu-144!

You must know that its maximum cruising speed is not Mach 2.2, but Mach 2.35.

Compared with the "MiG-25 business jet", it flies far enough and has a large passenger capacity, so there is no need to use a business jet for the entire small emergency evacuation.

Now, in the eyes of the pilots such as the Red Devil and Ailan, the Tu-144 seems to have found a job that is really suitable for it, and it has become a special business jet that can almost ignore the cost of use.

Tu-144, it was not born the fate of ordinary airliners!
