The Love of a Lycan

Chapter 150: Information about raine

"What are you doing here, Jen?" Raphael's voice was interrupting the brief conversation between Raine, and Jenedieth. There the Beta was, standing tall with his left arm was holding Raine close behind him. Shielding her from the possible attack from Jenedieth.

"Raphael, hello to you too!" Jenedieth grinned at the Beta. She found herself chuckled upon seeing the sight of Raphael who put on a defensive stand to face her. He was looking rather alarmed in a threatening way. "You don't need to work yourself up! I'm here to meet Torak. But he told me that Torak isn't at home." She nodded her sharp chin towards the guard, who escorted her inside the living room.

"Who told you to bring her inside?" Raphael glared at the guard. He really couldn't trust these humans.

"I'm sorry Mr. Lockwood, but this young Miss has the access card with her." The guard explained to Raphael truthfully.

At the same time, Jenedieth waved a green card in her hand at Raphael mockingly. This green colored card was an access card to enter the main house. No one carried this except the lycanthropes. It was only given to the lycanthropes, who were guarding around the house. So, the card was indeed given by one of the lycanthropes.

But, how could she get that?—was the question in their head now.

Raphael didn't know how Jenedieth could get it, and why no one informed him about this. They should've known that Jenedieth had been banished from their pack. With that only, her presence was supposed to be unwanted automatically. It was highly forbidden to accept her presence, especially near Raine.

But, she walked inside the room leisurely like nothing ever happened between them.

How do those stupid Lycans actually do their job? Could they even do their job properly?—he thought. Anger bubbled up inside Raphael's chest. If it wasn't because of the strange scent that he smelled earlier, he wouldn't have known that Jenedieth was there. There was something off about the scent. It didn't belong to any of the people inside the house. That was how he got it right this time.

Whatever her intention was about, it wouldn't be good. Plus, her strange scent was different from the last time he saw her. He knew immediately that there was something off about her. It felt strongly wrong. But, Raphael couldn't point his fingers on that.

"You can leave us." Raphael ordered the guard to leave. "Ask everyone to not step a foot inside the living room." He added before the guard disappeared.

"Human, huh?" Jenedieth's eyes were laid on the back of the guard when he was leaving the room, and closed the door. "What is happening with Torak? Why did he came up with hiring so many humans to work for him inside his house?" Jenedieth took a step closer. Her question was bothering Raphael, making his eyes turned darker.

"That is none of your business." He said curtly. "Leave now."

Jenedieth raised her eyebrows. She flicked her hair off of her shoulder elegantly. "I didn't come this far just to leave without getting what I want."

And then, Raphael's eyes turned hazy as he mind-linked all the lycans around the area to come. As expected, there was something more about her arrival. He found out a surprising account from the other lycans that apparently, they didn't know about Jenedieth's visit.

If that was the case, then how could she get the access card? How did she enter this house that easily, and all without making any noises?

"You don't need to call them." Jenedieth frowned. "I'll be leaving once I talk to Torak."

Raine poked her head from behind Raphael's back, and watched the argumentation that was going on between the two people.

She had no idea what had happened to Jenedieth after the event at the hotel that day. For all that she knew for sure, that wicked woman was taken away to be punished. But she didn't know anything apart from that, let alone the exact punishment they had given her.

Just by looking at the intensity from Raphael's strong reaction, it was easy for Raine to understand the situation that Jenedieth wasn't a welcomed guest under any circumstances.

"Don't make things difficult for yourself Jen." Raphael warned her. Right after he said that, there were dozens of lycans coming from every door, and any escaped route. Either in their human forms or in their beast forms, they were there surrounding them. If any case of battle should happen, it was better to warn Jenedieth even more about how she wasn't going to win.

They circled Jenedieth and Raphael also Raine, who was standing behind the Beta.

Meanwhile, Raphael was reluctant to send Raine away. He was afraid that if he did so, the Luna would suddenly disappear again.

"Everything is going to be alright Luna." Raphael whispered to Raine. He was glad that Raine didn't look mortified with this situation like she usually was. This time, she was rather looking surprised. Although, there was a fleeting fear that crossed her eyes. But, compared to the time when they met for the first time, her reaction now was within normal.

"She is Luna now?" Jenedieth darted her eyes around the Lycans that had surrounded her with a derisive look. "How could this be? I don't see Torak had marked her yet." She glanced at Raine and found the spot on her neck was still bare unmarked. "How could you say something like that so soon, Beta Raphael?"

"This is Lockwood for you Jen." said Raphael coldly. He was still the Beta Supreme while Jenedieth was relying only on being the daughter of the Alpha Xavier as her title. But it didn't last, because Alpha Xavier was now dead. Her blood relation with a dead Alpha, was no longer valid for her to use as a shield. She had no place in the pack, especially after the day her father was revealed to be corrupt.

Jenedieth scoffed when one of the lycans prowled behind her back to look for an opening before he received an order to attack her and pounce on her. She knew their movement, after all there were days when she was one of them for many years. She was trained by her father to be able to go on a battle if ever needed. And one was about to happen now, judging by the current situation.

However, she couldn't fight them. Not with being in her current state that she had lost her inner wolf.

"I don't want this going to be ugly. I just want to talk with Torak." Jenedieth was very adamant to meet him.

"I have warned you before, but you simply didn't want to listen." Raphael pulled Raine along with him as he took three steps back, letting the two lycans in their beast form step forward in front of him. They were shielding Raphael, and Raine. "Now, even though you wished to escape, you will not have that chance anymore."

Yet, unexpectedly, Jenedieth folded her arms under her breast. No one would deny that she looked so sexy when she did so. Her long yellow dress that hugged her body tightly, looking so perfect on her. With a pair of dark brown boots that she was wearing, Jenedieth was almost as tall as Raphael now.

"I have told you, I don't have any intention to escape. I just want to meet Torak. Because there is something important that I need to tell him." Jenedieth shrugged her shoulder carelessly, she knew without Raphael's order no one from those Lycans would make an actual move on her.

"The Alpha will not be very happy to see you, Jen." Raphael said callously.

Before this, the relationship between the two of them weren't particularly close. There were only a handful of occasions that they were talking to one another. But if ever the two of them had to be talking to each other, it was all about business and work related subjects.

"He will come, and see me if you tell him that I have important information about that girl." Jenedieth winked at Raine. "How's that?"
