34 – Monster Hunter.

The place where Edgar followed the craftsman of the dismantling yard was a processing yard with a pretty cool sign.

“Hey Urum. We brought a guest.”

The craftsman of the dismantling shop opened the door of the processing shop wide open and entered, as if it were an acquaintance’s shop. The owner of the processing shop, who was sitting and reading the newspaper, lowered the newspaper slightly at the sound of his father-in-law’s voice, glanced at us, and spoke.

“Jigil, I heard that the silver-haired man in Lessand is a necromancer. You were the first customer.”

Ji-gil, the craftsman of the dismantling yard, nodded his head sharply after hearing Urum’s words.

“Yes. There is a person here who looked at the leather I gave him and cut it into pieces and said it was a waste to make a bag, so he processed the body to perfection and made it.”

Ji-gil patted Ed’s shoulder with his thick hand and pulled him.

“Ed Frozenborn, Necromancer.”

Ed slightly bowed his head and entered the company.

“Urum, you are the owner of this processing plant. So did you bring something?”

“I heard that this friend has something to ask for. What was it?”

Ji-gil looked at Ed and asked with a serious face. Ed said, thinking that since it wasn’t his job, he could forget it.

“It’s a saddle. I tried to sit on the back of the Skeleton Desert Lizard, but it was difficult because there were only bones.”

Upon hearing Ed’s words, the owner of the mill, Urum, stood up with a smile full of interest.

“Okay. If that guy dismantled the first Desert Lizard brought by the Necromancer, I’ll make the first saddle. Then can you show me?”

“The space is small. Can I move my seat?”

There was a group of people who took out the Skeleton Desert Lizard from the machining center because it was not prepared to work right away like the dismantling station, but there was a space to sell goods.

“Okay, let’s go to the workshop.”

When I opened the door to the back of the store and entered, the neat leather of the Desert Lizard that Ji-gil, the dismantling plant manager, had been talking about was hanging on the wall. Arrebijou, who had been silently following the treatment so cleanly that it felt alive had it not been spread out, asked Ed slightly surprised.

“Ed, how much would something like that cost?”

“I’m not sure about the value, but if I put it up for auction, wouldn’t it be worth a lot of money?”

Ed also answered, thinking that he would get at least twice the price he sold the Desert Lizard’s body for. Ji-gil said after hearing such a childish conversation.

“I hunted it very cleanly, but the Desert Lizard is a monster that is widespread in Lesand, and there are quite a few people who are stronger than you who can kill it cleanly and process it discreetly, so it won’t be that expensive. The quality is good, but it is rare. “It’s low.”

“Yes, I think I processed it neatly, but I won’t receive more than 10 million Enel. So, is it enough to show it here?”

Urum also thought that Jigil’s sharp eye was right, so he finished the story roughly. Urum had met a few hunters who came in after drinking alcohol and claiming that a lot of things were eaten by dismantlers or processors. They even risked their lives to hunt Desert Lizards and made a fuss by saying that the traders were making a lot of money while they couldn’t earn even 1 million Enel.

Dismantling or processors donate part of the money they earn to the Hunter Guild, so they came out of the Hunter Guild and took the drunken Hunter at the right time, but it was chilling when the guys with powers beyond ordinary people behaved badly.

‘But is it okay if two people eat it?’

Hunters usually hunted monsters in teams of four to six, so the share dropped to 1/6. However, the person who came with the necromancer in front of him could earn 2.5 million energy at least if it was one or two paladins. Then, since he was earning more than the two companies, the possibility of not doing bad things increased.

For some reason, Ed looked at Urum, whose tense face was relieved, and thought that he had finished preparing his mind. Holding the Necromancer license, he opened the subspace, used the restoration to restore the disassembled Skeleton Desert Lizard, and then made it walk out of the subspace.

‘It’s really annoying that one process was added.’

I disassembled and stacked the skeletons to use the subspace efficiently, but I didn’t like it because there was a possibility of making a mistake if I took out the skeletons from the subspace this way every time.

“It’s the first time I’ve seen anything move, but it’s amazing.”

“Ohh. How can it move like this?”

Ed thought that the two artisans might be a little scared at the sight of the moving skeleton, but instead, he moved closer and inspected the skeleton Desert Lizard. The two artisans were very surprised when I gave the command and showed them to twist their bodies slightly or wag their tails.

And the one who finished the appreciation first was Urum, the owner of the machining center. I knew I needed to make a saddle to fit this skeleton lizard, so I brought a tape measure from the workshop and asked Ed as I started measuring the angles and spacing between the bones.

“How much can this bone be twisted?”

“Yes. Since the core is holding it, a certain amount of distortion is not a problem. But I’ve disassembled this guy and stored it. Could you take that into account?”

“Disassembled? What does that mean?”

Ed used self-destruction to destroy the Skeleton Desert Lizard. Seeing the bones suddenly pouring down on the floor, the two artisans and Arrebijou took a few steps back.

“Ed, is that okay? It’s completely broken?”

“There is no space in subspace, so we are piling it up in this disassembled state.”

And when mana was injected into the core to use restoration, the Skeleton Desert Lizard stood up in the same manner as before. Urum blinked widely and immediately measured the gap between the bones with a tape measure. Urum said to Ed after confirming that the bones were the same as before being destroyed.

“Hey. Can I put this spine together like a lump?”

“Yes. Skeletons wearing armor were also used well in this way.”

Compared to destroying an armored skeleton using self-destruction and then restoring it while still wearing armor, the level of difficulty was very different. Urum wasn’t sure what he was talking about, but he took it to mean that it was okay, tied the spine using leather straps, and placed the remaining Desert Lizard skin on top. I don’t know what to do, but Ed said after seeing the work progressing steadily.

“How much can I pay?”

“I don’t know how much the materials will cost, but I think it will cost around 300,000 Enels, including labor costs.”

“Okay, I’m thinking of making two more at that price. Is there any discount?”

“If you do all three to me, I’ll reduce it to 800,000 Enel.”

Urum grinned and Ed thought he had a pretty good deal. It seemed that the outline of the saddle would already be made to a high degree of completion.

“Then I’ll come back after dinner.”

“Hmm? Can we get away with this?”

“Yes. It’s all about standing up instead.”

Ed cannot give commands to his summons beyond 25m. However, if Ed moved 25m away from the summoned beast, the summoned beast would suddenly be destroyed, and no special problem would arise, just maintaining its shape. In the past, I used it to jump left and right to overcome 25m, and ran around like crazy, but I gave up because it was more efficient to just fight with a summoned beast.

“Okay. I’ll leave the store open so you can come pick it up.”

“Yes. Mr. Arebiju, shall we go take a rest?”

“Ah. Now that I think about it, you’ve been wandering around non-stop since you came back from outside.”

Arebizu thought about what happened today. I went outside with Ed and Ed hunted two Desert Lizards and turned them into zombies and brought them back. And since I moved the Desert Lizard to the dismantling yard and came straight to the processing yard, it was true that I did not rest. Because I’m a Holy Knight, I have stronger stamina than others, so I didn’t do anything today, so I told myself not to act tired, so I went outside.

Jigil, the craftsman at the dismantling plant, didn’t come out of the workshop, probably trying to watch Urum work, so only Ed and Arebijou came out of the workshop. As Ed walked to the inn, he talked about his upcoming schedule in a way that Arrebijou could understand.

“To work on the Desert Lizard tomorrow and make a saddle, I’ll have to send it to the workshop right away. If I work on another Desert Lizard the next day, I can go out the next day… Hmm. I can rest for about three days.”

“Looks like Ed missed a break?”

When Arebijou pointed out about it, Ed said with a slight smile.

“This is enough to get some rest. I’m here for a vacation in the South.”

Ed thought it was really comfortable compared to having to deal with Junior-level monsters and Gigant-level monsters outside in the cold winter, digging into armies of monsters. Since I tried engraving the core on a Desert Lizard for the first time yesterday, I will be able to shorten the time if I do it again, so I am confident that I can finish both as early as tomorrow. The smile on Ed’s face grew a little deeper when he thought about having another day off.

Arebizou’s face turned slightly red when she saw Ed with a deep smile, but she thought it was a little strange for her to smile because she enjoyed working so much. So Arebizu decided to try using the power of Trilia, the goddess of truth.

“Ed, how busy were you up north?”

Because she did not have the power of a saint, she asked using the power that could be used to ask just one question once a month.

“I was so busy that I barely got home.”

Arebizu could feel some unexplainable bitterness toward Ed, who was telling the truth.

‘Mr. Ed likes work, but did the North give him work that was so hard that he got sick of it?’

Arebizu has not yet reached the truth.
