When a warrior starts practicing the cultivation, he would first attempt to clear his meridians after his soul was reaching the peak mortal realm. It was the first step on the path of cultivation.

A human's channels consisted of twelve regular meridians and eight special meridians.

The twelve regular meridians spread throughout a person's limbs. They were the three-arm yin meridians (lung, pericardium, heart), three-arm yang meridians (large intestine, triple burner, small intestine), three leg yang meridians (stomach, gall bladder, bladder), and three leg yin meridians (spleen, liver, kidney).

As for the eight special meridians, they spread throughout the body. The two most critical special meridians were the conception and governor's vessels.

The position of the conception and governor's vessels is in the central axis line of a person and will be seen as a straight line from the front.

The conception vessel is located in the front, while the governor's vessel is in the back. The two lines circle into a bundle in a person's body, passing through the dantian and huiyin. Like two ropes that passed through a person's crotch, they held up a person's body.

There were broken channels between the conception and governor's vessels. When the conception and governor vessels were opened up, the broken channels would heal up, forming a central expressway for a person's energy to circulate fully. So to be able to open up the conception and governor's vessels was an essential step to opening up the entire body's meridians.

There were multiple ways to open the conception and governor vessels.

In the ancient medical books, there were multiple records on how to open up the conception and governor vessels. The moment the conception and governor vessels were opened, a person would be rejuvenated and enjoy a boost in power. Experiencing a life force different from ordinary humans.

The perfect outcome of the meridians would pave the way for a higher realm of martial arts in the future.

Kritos was sitting in crossed legs. He has already begun to accumulate his energies to open up his meridians.

In both paths of soul cultivation, Meridian opening is the essential thing. After this, the warrior cultivator or mage cultivator has to cultivate the guidance of their respective soul technique.

As long as Kritos opened up his meridians, his strength would be about the same level as Rank 2 apprentice warrior even though he will be in early Rank 1 apprentice without a soul technique.

There were two ways to open up the conception and governor vessels. One was to rely on external help, while the other was to depend on him.

In many sects and clans, there would be peerless experts helping the disciple to open up the conception and governor vessels, causing the disciple to increase in strength. This was also known as "power transfer."

It may be fast, but it was not the proper way. It was better to cultivate by himself. Even in the Dwivedi clan, all young cultivators would get the chance to open up vessels with the help of an elder. Normally low-grade talent cultivators take 1 or 2 months to enter the first stage of cultivation. So, usually, they rely on external help.

Of course, Kritos chose the second method of opening up his meridians by himself.

Most of the cultivators know the way to open up the Meridians, but it takes some time due to their low talent. 

In the case of Kritos, he feels that he would open up the meridians with ease.

By sitting cross-legged, every breath should be made as long as possible.

Once a warrior reaches the first rank of Apprentice realm, their breaths would mix with the energy accumulated in their body, causing a circulation that spread like fire!

Slowly, the purple light surrounding Kritos grew denser. This purple light resembled an ancient creature.

With the energy accumulated time and time again, Kritos's body began to make sounds resembling the roars of dragons and tigers. His blood flow was like a mighty stream, flowing without restraint!

With each breath, the air around Kritos swirled rapidly. It was as astonishing as a whale sucking in water.

"Phew–Phew–Phew–" Kritos's breaths became heavier and heavier. Every breath would muster up his body, his body was like a boat being roughed up by the waves.

As his body moved up and down, the energy in his body began to condense.

His tendons began to emit twang-like sounds, while his skin was like blown-up leather. His bones emitted popping sounds.

When this accumulated to its extremes, Kritos felt his body about to explode. He controlled his energy and sent the heat flow towards his dantian, wave after wave as if they were crashing on the rocks!

Kritos slowly began to approach his limit. When the small vessels on the surface of his body were about to burst, he heard a "boom." With him in the center, energy exploded out. The bed Kritos was sitting on cracked, and many pieces of furniture blast away from him.

Kritos felt his body go limp. His nostrils, ears were all bleeding. But this wasn't fresh blood but black blood. Including Kritos's pores, a greyish sweat pulp oozed out.

"Haha, I have done it... without any external use." Kritos laugh while checking his body.

"Kritos!.. Kritos!"

Suddenly, He heard the crying of his mother and father.

Kritos look around and saw a part of his bed lying a meter from him. 

"Shit!" 

He doesn't think the energy wave produced from his body when he breakthroughs to the apprentice realm will be this immense.

Usually, this much energy released only happens when someone breakthroughs from the apprentice realm to the foundation realm. 

Kritos saw someone push his door and forcibly open it.

"Kritos, my boy, are you ok?" Radha screamed

She has a worried and feared look on her face.

Radha raised her eyebrows, and her lips were tense and stretched. She quickly approaches Kritos and gently touches his face.

"Are you ok? Kritos!" She couldn't help but ask even after checking his body condition.

A day before, Kritos was already half-dead due to the severe injury on his chest. If the Golden hair of Crimson lion soul beast wasn't applied to his body. Then, he had probably taken almost four months to heal the injury.

"Don't worry, mom. I'm fine." Kritos said with a smile.

As she saw her son smile, Radha tightly hugs him while mumbling," What happens here?"

Currently, Kritos don't have any option other than telling the truth, which is quite shocking.

He doesn't know how his parents would react after knowing their son awakened a soul beast. The late one is now already a legend to ordinary people. 

Moreover, he had barely cultivated for an hour and made a breakthrough to the apprentice realm.

It was quite shocking as even the cultivation genius needed a day for the first breakthrough. 

Before he tries to say anything, Radha opens her mouth and says," Did you step into the apprentice realm?"

Kritos raised his eyebrows and glanced at her face with a surprising look.

"Hey boy, don't hide it from your mother. The dark black blood is a sign of someone who had just opened its meridians."

Radha then stared at him with wide eyes for a second and then continued," You are a late awakener. Right!"

Kritos stunned for a second and then moved his head to look at his father, who was standing beside Radha.

"Don't ignore me, Kritos. Tell me, why did you hide from me?"

*Cough*cough*

Radha peeks at the source of the sound, "*cough*cough* Why did you hide from us?" 

Kritos was in awe that his mother already guesses that he was a late awakener. She just saw black blood lying on the floor and concluded that her son is a cultivator now.

Amazing!

What Kritos don't know that his elder brother, Sanju betrayed him.

When he was in bed due to the injury, Sanju had faced many incoming questions from Kritos parents and grandfather. Like an expert, Sanju deceives all of them.

However, all of them beat him till Sanju was willing to tell them the truth.

He doesn't know how his expert-level lie ability doesn't work on anybody even though he confidently tells.

What Sanju doesn't know is that each time he lies, his left eye fluttered.
