Even after trying many times, Kritos wasn't able to access System. Moreover, there is not any cooldown screen where he could see the remaining time before the opening of the system.

"Finite-Time…" Kritos thought about the notification before the shutdown of the System.

This is a critical time where he needs the help of the System. 

He wanted to create a high-rank talent in Alchemist. Furthermore, he didn't even use the Time Chamber Function once, and he has brought only one item from the Shop Function.

A strange energy resides inside his body as if it is always there.

He knew that his breakthrough would take almost a week. So, he can't afford to disturb by anyone in the midst of a breakthrough.

Initially, he would have taken one month to successfully breakthrough to Foundation Realm. Yet now, he could make a breakthrough anytime.

However, as he was about to circulate his qi according to the Qi breathing Soul Technique, he found something strange.

"There is a memory of an upgraded version of Qi breathing Soul Technique!" Kritos murmur.

He doesn't understand where this upgraded Technique comes from. He could only think that the System gave him a gift before Shutting down.

Plus, the new technique is extraordinary, far suppressing the normal Qi breathing Technique.

If he has to compare, the upgraded Qi breathing Technique is only inferior to the Blue Crescent Moon Body Cultivation Technique.

It also levels according to each Realm. 

To make a breakthrough to Foundation Realm, he has to use far more qi compared to normal cultivators. Plus, it will decrease his cultivation speed.

Earlier, when Kritos had been in the Mountain Range, he had been consolidating his cultivation and strengthening his base to smoothly make a breakthrough to Foundation Realm, which was why he didn't try to rush his cultivation. Now that his base was sufficiently firm and there was also enormous strange energy waiting to erupt, he immediately began his breakthrough.

In all honesty, to any cultivator, breaking through was not much of an undertaking as long as they had enough resources, inherent skills, and luck. The real obstacle was getting trapped in a bottleneck. All cultivators had their own bottleneck that would hinder them from breaking through to the next realm. And they would be unable to progress in their cultivation even after cultivating to a certain extent.

However, breaking the bottleneck of Foundation Realm was not something that could easily be achieved by the average cultivator. Not even one in ten cultivators could accomplish this.

Cultivators can't rush their cultivation if they don't want a bottleneck in their cultivation journey. Instead, they had to work on making sure their fundamentals were firm. Taking one step after the other was the only way to delay the bottleneck's appearance and, at the same time, make it easier to overcome.

A shaky foundation would cause the bottleneck to appear sooner and make it more challenging to break. This was also why the people who were in a rush to cultivate often ended up with underwhelming results.

In the room, Kritos quickly sealed his surroundings to prevent anyone from barging in. He was mentally prepared to break through to the Foundation Realm. 

He also senses that with this strange energy, he can even jump one or two ranks.

To cultivators who did not have the resources, it was difficult to continuously breakthrough after reaching Foundation Realm, but it was much easier for Kritos because of the Strange energy.

With a snap of his fingers, a tiny jade bottle containing pills appeared right in front of him with a tier 3 magical stone and a 300-year-old blood lingzhis.

The bottle of the pill was given by Captain Mitchel to him.

The Magical stone was a profound 3rd tier stone that is most suitable for Foundation and Core Realm cultivators to use. It could directly raise the spiritual power within the cultivator's body. It contains enormous energy inside it.

To the average cultivator, a single tier 3 magical stone would allow a Rank 1 Foundation cultivator to be promoted directly to the Rank 5 of the Foundation Realm and for their spiritual power to be filled to the brim. 

However, Kritos was using the upgraded version of the Qi Breathing Soul Technique, so even three 3rd tier Magical Stone might not be enough to elevate him from Rank 1 of Foundation Realm to the Rank 5 of Foundation Realm.

Nonetheless, he has to first breakthrough to Foundation Realm.

As Kritos begin cultivating, Time went by, and, after one day, Kritos finally absorbed all the Pills in the jade bottle. 

One has to know that the strange energy was acting as a catalyst that builds his basis firm. So it was relatively easy to absorb pills.

Additionally, even after absorbing all these pills, Kritos still not made a breakthrough.

He could now truly felt the decrease speed in his cultivation due to the new technique. Still, his absorbing pace was relatively fast.

Nevertheless, his cultivation was now not too far away from the pinnacle of Rank 9 Apprentice Realm, and consuming just one 300-year-old blood lingzhis would be enough to raise his cultivation to a new Realm.

On the second day, he finally raised his cultivation to the pinnacle of the Rank 9 Apprentice Realm, and he was only one step away from reaching Foundation Realm.

However, breaking through to every next Realm was much more complicated than increasing one's cultivation.

This next step's difficulty was at least 10 times higher than all of the previous steps combined.

For the average cultivator, there was nothing they could do when they got this point except to slowly cultivate and hone their skills until the breakthrough came. But Kritos was different. He could break through within a day, and this step was, incidentally, much easier for him. This was because of the strange energy inside his body that is continuously helping.

However, with each increase of cultivation, the Strange energy is gradually exhausting.

The energy is like a catalyst that helps in the cultivation and destroys all impurities created by the sudden increase of cultivation.

On the morning of the third day, Kritos slowly opened his eyes. A beam of light shot out from his eyes. At the same time, an overpowering aura swept out with him in the center of it. The pressure on his body was growing more and more powerful, and it was unlikely that the average cultivator with a Foundation Realm could be this powerful.

"The Foundation Realm!"

He had finally broken through to the Foundation. The Qi in his body rose yet again, increasing to almost twice the force it had been. It surged slowly but steadily within his body; it was vast and boundless. 

Although he was only at Rank 1 Foundation Realm, the total amount of Qi within him was almost on par with that of a cultivator with a Rank 3 Foundation Realm cultivation.

"With my current cultivation, I should be able to hold my own against the Rank 3 Foundation Realm. As for whether or not I can kill them, that still seems unlikely."

However, Kritos is confident if also his body cultivation will be increased to one more level. He could easily kill a Rank 4 Foundation Realm cultivator with a Rank 1 Foundation Realm cultivation.

At this time, Kritos wished to eat some food, but upon noticing the remaining strange energy inside his body, he quickly forgets about such a wish.

Till now, Kritos doesn't use Tier 3 Magical stone.

It just took him 2 more days to reach Rank 3 from Rank 1. This extraordinary speed was all off because of the Strange energy. Finally, upon reaching Rank 3 Foundation Realm, it was completely depleted.
