Star Wars VRMMO: Galactic Expedition

Chapter 47 - The Underworld Part II

(Check out the prologue for the new novel I am starting. I plan on writing it alongside this one.)

It was about 7am. Tyler was sitting impatiently in his conference room at the top of the Limitless guild hall.

Suddenly, the door opened and several people walked in. They were all asian. All of them wore suits and carried blasters aside from one person.

She had quite the intimidating presence. She was wearing baggy black pants and a white kimono. Her black hair was long and straight. She had sharp features and piercing eyes.

Tyler looked at her blankly. "Are the others almost here? I want to go back to sleep."

She nodded humbly. "Hai, Draco dono. They will be arriving momentarily."

The door opened again and two more groups rushed in. Another group was asian and another group looked very hispanic. These two groups were presumably the Chinese Triad and the Gulf Cartel.

Tyler decided to jump out ahead of the apparent problem. "Before you take your seats, please remember that any action you take against each other during this meeting will be taken as action against me. I trust you guys to behave."

The three bosses nodded and glared at their men. They then sat down. The woman sat at the far end of the table and the other two bosses sat in the middle on either side.

Tyler smiled. "Great. Now, please introduce yourselves. I'll start. I am Lord Draco of Kessel, Guild Leader of Limitless, Master Jedi, GAR General, and a very pissed off man." He pointed to the mexican guy. "You next."

He did not look happy at this lack of respect. "I am Ernesto Guadalajara, head of the Gulf Cartel."

Tyler nodded and pointed to the woman. "You, go."

She nodded respectfully. "I am Tsuki Yakamoto, kumicho of the Yakuza."

Tyler nodded again and pointed to the other man. "Now, you."

He scoffed. "I am Hu Yeng, head of the Triad."

Tyler smiled. "So you three might be wondering what me, a public official, is doing inviting the heads of the three largest crime syndicates to my home. I am about to answer that for you."

He pressed a buŧŧon on the panel in front of him and the hologram of a freighter popped up in the middle of the table.

Tyler gestured to the three of them. This was a clear lack of respect for these powerful individuals. "One of you fuċkɨnġ clowns decided it was a good idea to steal from the Hutts. It just so turns out that they have some interests aligning with the Republic. It now lays on me to guarantee this relationship."

Hu shook his head. "What does this have to do with us?"

Tyler laughed. "It has everything to do with you guys. I need to know, right now, which one of you guys did it."

Hu scoffed. "And why should any of us tell you anything. We are not scared of you, Draco."

Tyler raised his hand with his palm facing up, slowly. Hu was gradually lifted out of his chair. "Now, I believe you misunderstand the position you are in. One, you not only have just put a target on your head for who I can use as a scapegoat even if I find out it wasn't you guys. Two, you should definitely be scared of me."

Tyler started closing his hand a bit and then looked towards the other two bosses. Hu reached for his neck as he felt it constrict. "Did either of your organizations commandeer this vessel?"

Ernesto and Tsuki both shook their heads.

Tyler smiled. "Great, then I guess it really was the Triad."

One of the Triad members behind Hu started walking towards Tyler. "RELEASE HIM!"

Tyler chuckled as he took a singular lightsaber out of his inventory and held it in his hand. He effortlessly flicked his wrist, throwing the Triad boss into the wall. He then stood up from his seat.

A sinister look then covered his face as he ignited Darth Revan's lightsaber. The crimson blade hummed to life. He reached forward with his empty hand and pulled the idiot towards him, skewering him and instantly killing him.

Tyler then slowly walked towards the Triad members that were fumbling to get their blasters out. He laughed and reached out again with his empty hand. He closed his fist and pulled his arm in, ripping the blasters out of their hands and flinging them across the room.

Tyler knelt down and looked him in the eye. The red lightsaber lit up his face. "If I ever see or hear about you fuċkwads again, I will end you. Now get out of my sight."

Hu scrambled to his feet and rushed towards the door. "My retribution will be served cold, Jedi scum."

Tyler laughed. "Get in line, idiot. I believe the one who is first in line is a certain Sith Lord. After that would definitely be this annoying prick named Eric from the Forest Group."

At the mention of Forest, the room went silent.

Hu froze at the door. A sinister smile emerged on his face. "Then we will be meeting sooner than expected. Enjoy the time you have left, Jedi." He stormed out of the room and rushed towards the hangar.

The door slid closed and the other two bosses were sitting silently. They were clearly in shock but hiding it well.

Tyler raised his brow. "Clearly there is something that you guys aren't telling me."

Ernesto looked at Tsuki. The both nodded as if they had a silent conversation with their eyes.

Tsuki smiled. "Eric approached us a few weeks ago. He offered us a handsome sum to disrupt some operations belonging to you and the Republic. We declined in order to stay out of the war. We also wanted to avoid stepping on each other's toes. Afterall, the Yakuza mostly deals in weapons and smuggling while the Gulf Cartel mostly deals with drugs."

Tyler looked at Ernesto. "Is this true?"

Ernesto nodded. "Si. Clearly that pendejo decided to work with him."

Tyler smiled. "Wonderful. Well it appears that the two of you have earned my gratitude. I have one thing I ask of you both. It is up to you whether you wish to comply or not. However, I would hate to put you in the same position as the Triad."

Tsuki nodded. "What do you ask of us, Draco dono?"

Tyler nodded and smiled. "I ask that you guys keep in your respective areas and don't cause me or my allies any trouble. Do that, and I will turn a blind eye to everything that you do. I will warn you though. Piss off the wrong person, and I will be forced to take down your organization. And no, Limitless will not be doing it. I will do it personally."

Ernesto gulped as sweat rolled down his face. "Draco, would you mind putting away the lightsaber?"

Tyler looked down to his right hand and noticed that the red saber was still lit. He laughed. "I'm gonna be honest, I forgot I was holding it." He deactivated it and put it back in his inventory. "I will say one more thing. Under the table, you both are now my ȧssociates and I will treat you as such. Anything you do that I deem… beneficial to me will be rewarded handsomely. Things such as disrupting CIS operations are included. Will you both accept this offer?"

Ernesto laughed. "How could we decline? I will never say no to something that can help the family."

Tsuki nodded. "I accept this offer with honor, Draco dono."

Tyler smiled. He took two datapads out of his inventory and slid them across the table. "This is the latest intel that my guild has on CIS operations. Feel free to make moves on the ones that are unmarked."

Tsuki raised her brow. "If I may, Draco dono…"

Tyler nodded. "Please, ask away."

Tsuki smiled. "What differs between the marked and unmarked targets?"

Tyler chuckled. "The marked targets require a more delicate touch. Limitless will be handling those personally. Each target has a bounty ȧssigned to it. It is yours if you complete the objective."

Tsuki nodded. "I understand. Now, if you'll excuse me, I must be going. With the resources you have, I doubt the Yakuza can be of service to you in any other way, Draco dono."

Tyler smiled. "You are right. Don't worry, this will not affect my opinion of you. In fact, I have some respect for you that you know where you stand." Tyler bowed in respect. "Sayonara, Tsuki dono."

She bowed back, returning the gesture. "Sayonara, Draco dono." Tsuki and her entourage then left the room.

Tyler then looked towards Ernesto. "So, what else do we have to discuss."

Ernesto smiled. "As you know, we traffic drugs. I was wondering if we may be of service in any way."

Tyler raised his brow. "What are you saying?"

Ernesto nodded. "You are in possession of two luxurious resorts. I'm confident that your guests would enjoy a safe source of some enhanced fun."

Tyler smirked. "This… I didn't think of this. What would I get in return?"

Ernesto laughed. "Well normally you would get a cut for allowing us to sell on your turf. However, I doubt you want money with all you have coming in."

Tyler nodded. "Indeed. What else can you offer?"

Ernesto smiled. "There are certain… rumours going around."

Tyler raised his brow. "What kind of rumors?"

Ernesto sighed. "Supposedly there is an operation in the works to ȧssault your resorts. Kessel is too well defended so they can't do anything there."

Tyler shook his head. "I doubt we knew of this. What are you trying to get at."

Ernesto nodded. "This is where the Gulf Cartel comes in. If you allow us to do some business on your resorts and maybe even do some growing on Scarif, then we can bolster your defenses to protect our shared interests."

Tyler smiled. "Done. I'll inform security to turn a blind eye to your dealers and to crack down on any competition. I'll also have someone provide the coordinates for our farms on Scarif. The planet is self sustaining so there is plenty of arable land. I am sure that the tropical climate will be great for your various products."

Ernest smiled. "Exactly my thoughts. I will be sure to direct a considerable portion of our funds towards reinforcing your resort defenses. Neither of us wants to see them go down."

Tyler chuckled. "I wouldn't just lose money if they went down. I have contracts to uphold. Speaking of contracts, let's put this agreement on paper." He slid another datapad across the table. "This outlines our agreement. Sign it and we will be all set."

Ernesto handed the datapad to one of his men behind him. "Please allow my lawyer to look it over before I sign. With all due respect, I can't risk any mixups."

Tyler nodded. "Very understandable. Many would try to take advantage of you but I merely am out for mutual success. The better you do, the safer my interests will be."

Ernesto nodded as he received the datapad back from the lawyer along with a nod from him. He then placed his thumb on the pad to sign it before sliding it back to Tyler. "I look forward to doing business with you, Draco."

Tyler smiled and nodded. "As long as it doesn't involve the Hutts, if anyone causes you trouble, let me know." They added each other as friends.

Ernesto smiled and stood up, offering Tyler his hand. "I appreciate the offer."

Tyler stood up and shook his hand. "Well, you'd best get going. I'd rather people not know that I am making deals under the table with syndicates."

Ernesto laughed. "Unlike me, you have a certain reputation. I will be going."

Tyler nodded. "Good. I will put you in contact with Elder Papi Chulo. You two should get along just fine."

Ernesto then headed out of the conference room.

Tyler sunk back into his chair. "UGHHHHHH! I HATE BEING UP THIS EARLY!"
