Star Wars VRMMO: Galactic Expedition

Chapter 46 - The Underworld Part I

(Good evening. I just stepped in dog shit. Enjoy the chapter.)

Papi Chulo smirked. "Project Stardust, eh homes?"

Tyler nodded. "Yeah. If I'm not mistaken, that is the Death Star's project name."

Papi sighed and rested his head on his hand. "Unfortunately it is. I was not expecting them to get started on it so early. Palpy must be getting desperate."

Tyler tilted his head. "Why would that be the case? They are absolutely demolishing us in the war at the moment."

Papi shook his head. "You misunderstand. The war was always just a way for him to make his moves unnoticed. With his lack of control over the Republic and your interference in his affairs, he is probably getting shaky."

Tyler sighed and closed his eyes. He tilted his head backwards. "More problems keep falling into my ŀȧp. I haven't slept in 3 days."

Papi reached into his desk and took out an inhaler. He slid it across the desk and it stopped right in front of Tyler. "The boys in medical R&D developed this. It keeps you awake as fuċk."

Tyler raised his brow. "What do they call it?"

Papi smirked. "They called it BoFA."

Tyler nearly choked. "Excuse me?"

Papi laughed. "Breath of Fresh Air, BoFA. The Senate loves it."

Tyler shrugged and picked up the inhaler. He pressed the buŧŧon on the back, put his mouth on the mouth piece, and took a deep breath.

His eyes widened. He suddenly felt a wave of energy roll over him. In reaction, he fell out of his chair and threw the inhaler at the wall. "KEEP THAT SHIT AWAY FROM ME!"

Papi nearly died laughing. "It's not that bad, man."

Tyler shook his head. "Nonononono. I might as well do coke. I think I should just take a nap. It is mid day afterall."

Papi shrugged. "Well, you said you had something else you needed my ȧssistance with."

Tyler nodded as he stood back up and sat back in the chair. "You keep track of the not so legal stuff that happens on our turf, right?"

Papi nodded. "What about it? Someone causing you trouble?"

Tyler shook his head. "Not exactly. Some cartel is stealing from the Hutts."

Papi widened his eyes and grimaced. "Hmmmm. Organized crime has been getting more ballsy since the war started. Do you have anything else you can give me?"

Tyler nodded and pressed a few buŧŧons on his wrist comm. "I just sent you the data that Jabba sent me personally. It contains the ships that were commandeered."

Papi smiled. "Just what I need. I can tell you who did it with that info." After a few seconds he frowned. "I only have two things for you. It looks like the Yakuza are involved. There is a huge club in Japan Town that they run. If you're gonna find anything, it'll be there."

Tyler sighed. "Since when were they a thing?"

Papi sighed. "Once they saw how many opportunities there were, they too wanted a piece. They are veterans in every illicit activity you can think of and the galaxy is the perfect place for them. Think about how successful the Pykes and the Hutts are. Those are only the two biggest players afterall. There are countless smaller groups."

Tyler shook his head. "You misunderstand me. Since when do they think that it's okay to operate on my turf without my permission?"

Papi grimaced. "You wouldn't…"

Tyler smirked. "Clearly you don't know me that well. Give me a few days. They will either be wiped off the face of this galaxy or be bending their knee at the thought of us."

Papi shook his head and sighed. "Please don't cause too much of a shit storm. I'm the one responsible for the cleanup after all. Also, power vacuums are dangerous. Make sure you don't leave the underworld unattended to."

Tyler shook his head. "Oh, I know. We are gonna show everyone that no matter what side you're on, Limitless and its partners run this town." He stood up and left a defeated elder in their office.

Tyler was standing in his closet trying to figure out what clothes he should wear. It might make sense to just keep them all in his inventory but he doesn't have the space for that. The only stuff he keeps on him is his Jedi robes, his senate attire, various spare clothes for emergencies, some food and water, his three lightsabers, his helmet, the Lazy Draco, his emergency liquor box, and some other things. This sounds like a lot but as with any game, inventory space is limited and unfortunately, it can not be expanded.

After about 20 minutes, he finally decided what to wear. In order to blend in, he had to dress like a typical clubber. He wore a pair of dark brown dress boots. They were fashionable and would also be effective in a combat situation. He then was wearing a pair of Louis Vuitton trousers. The stitching was black with hints of gray. To finish the bottom half, he wore a brown leather belt. He received it as a gift from Padme when he got married.

On the top, he wore a brown, leather jacket with lots of pockets. Tyler loves pockets. Under that he wore a silk white buŧŧon down that was tucked into his pants. Under his jacket he concealed a holster in which he kept his blaster pistol and his lightsabers. The holster was well hidden underneath the jacket.

With a nap taken, shit shower shave completed, hair done, teeth brushed, and cologne sprayed, he was ready to go. He grabbed another flask, filled it with some ice and bourbon, and then called his trusty cab driver.

By the time Tyler reached his hangar, Goby was already waiting.

Tyler whistled. "Daaammmnnn. Nice new ride."

Goby smirked. "Only the best for my favorite Jedi. Hop in, where are we off to?"

Tyler jumped into the passenger seat. "Do you know anything about Japan Town?"

Goby nodded. "I do, brother." He took off and started heading towards Japan Town. "What business do you have there?"

Tyler sighed. "What makes you think it's business?"

Goby laughed. "Even when you are messing around, you're always working. You need a vacation my friend."

Tyler chuckled. "I guess that is true. The galaxy never sleeps after all. I need to make some friends there. I heard about a big club that is run by some super friendly people. You know of it?"

Goby sighed. "I see you are causing trouble again. I do know of the club though. Is that where you're headed?"

Tyler nodded. "Yep. They need to understand how things work around here."

Goby chuckled. "Every child needs to learn their lesson eventually."

Tyler smiled. "Indeed. Wait, shit. I forgot about something. I need to make a call."

Goby nodded. "Feel free. This will take a bit."

Tyler then pressed his comm and contacted Eclipse. His hologram popped up. "Guild Leader, what can I do for ya?"

Tyler smiled. "Remember Shevchenko?"

Eclipse nodded. "Yeah, what about him?"

Tyler forwarded a contract to him. "Please bring this to him and acquire him at all costs. Tell him that I will ȧssist him personally if anyone gives him an issue."

Eclipse widened his eyes. "You're poaching him?"

Tyler nodded and smiled. "Yeah, we need guys like him."

Eclipse nodded. "Very well. I'll get it done."

Tyler smiled. "Thanks. See ya!" He hung up.

-10PM, Japan Town, Coruscant-

For the ground level of Coruscant, it was remarkably clean. This must be due to the Yakuza.

Tyler was standing in front of a club with a massive line outside. At the entrance, there were two ways in. One was going through the normal line. Once you reached the door, you would be frisked and then have to pay the entrance fee.

The second option was the VIP entrance. They would show their invitation and then be allowed in with their guests. They would not be searched.

It would seem that the search is unnecessary but it actually is. Inside private property, a player can block anyone that is not listed as an ally from accessing their inventory. This makes it so that players are somewhat safe in their own homes.

Tyler's only option was to get in with a VIP. He walked across the street and sat down at a food stall. He ordered some takoyaki and kept an eye out for anyone that fit the part.

Two orders of takoyaki and a long wait later, a group caught his eye. The group was made up of 3 men and 6 women and were visibly intoxicated. One extremely handsome black man stood out in the front.

He was wearing all designer clothing from the brands that Limitless brough to the galaxy. He was straight dripping. He also carried a blaster on his hip so he was clearly some kind of big shot.

Tyler smirked and made his move. He walked up to the group and put his arm around the man as he talked. "Hey man! I've been waiting for you!"

The guy was very confused but somehow maintained his composure. He spoke softly. "Who are you?"

Tyler smiled and whispered. "Someone with a lot of money that needs to skip that line."

The man stopped walking and looked Tyler up and down. "Hmmm, you got a name?"

Tyler stepped up and whispered in his ear. "The name's Draco. Call me Zagan."

The man nearly shit himself at hearing the first name but kept his calm. "So, Zagan, what am I gonna get out of this?"

Tyler smirked. "Well after I cover your tab for the night, I can send you and your friends on a vacation. You ever been to Scarif?"

The man's eyes lit up. "Done. Name's Granville btw. Pleasure to make your acquaintance."

Tyler smiled and shot him a friend request. "I'll remember this. Let's head inside."

Granville nodded and continued walking. They soon reached the bouncer at the door. "Invitation."

Granville nodded and pulled a golden card out of his jacket. The bouncer held it up to his eye and a scanner activated. After a few seconds, he handed the card back. "Granville, enjoy your night."

Inside, the music was blaring. A DJ was expertly moving between songs and maintaining the vibe of the crowd. There was a great mix of dance songs, rap, and stuff to sing along to.

Granville nodded and led his group inside. He turned to Tyler. "You ever been here before?"

Tyler shook his head. "Nope. Didn't even know Japan Town existed."

Granville laughed. "I guess that makes sense with you being… you."

Tyler smiled at the discretion the man showed. "Introduce me to your friends, will you?"

Granvilled pointed to one at a time. "Ferro, Moxy, Beccatron, Shiomi, Cilantra, Lissandra, Chanda, and Poola."

Tyler smiled and waved to them. "I am Zagan. It's a pŀėȧsurė to meet you all." Tyler felt gazes filled with dėsɨrė coming from a few of the women. He shook off the feeling. "You guys get a table. I'll be right over."

Tyler went and sat down at the bar. A bartender quickly came over. "What can I get for you, sir?"

Tyler thought for a moment. "I'll take a martini, extra dirty. Blue cheese olives too please."

The bartender nodded. "Right away."

Suddenly, a raspy voice came from his left "You wanna buy some death sticks?"

Tyler nearly choked. He then waved his hand at the man. "You don't wanna sell me death sticks."

In a daze, the man repeated him. "I don't wanna sell you death sticks."

Tyler then waved his hand again. "You wanna go home and rethink your life."

The man turned around. "I wanna go home and rethink my life."

As he walked away, he heard a laugh from behind him. Tyler turned around. "Something funny?"

The man shook his head. "I think that guy comes here every night. Great choice in drink by the way."

Tyler looked down at the bar counter and noticed that the man was drinking the same thing. "It's my go to. What's your name?"

The man smiled. "The name's Artimer. What about you, stranger?"

Tyler nodded. "My name is Zagan. It's my first time here and I was wondering if you knew who I can talk to if I wanna have a good time."

Artimer smirked. "The people that run this place have suppliers walking around. It should be pretty easy to spot them. They are all asian and wearing the same suit."

Tyler smiled. "Thank you." At that moment, his drink was put down in front of him. Tyler slid a few credits across the counter and went to find the group he came in with.

As he turned around and got up, he bumped into someone and had liquor spilled on him. The man was furious. "What the fuċk, dude?"

Tyler raised his hands. "I'm sorry. I didn't see you."

The man didn't seem to care. "You spilled my drink."

Tyler smiled. "Then I'll buy you two. Let's grab a seat, I'm sure we can talk this through. No need to make a scene." He gestured with both of his hands. The man looked around him and noticed that there were several bouncers gripping their blasters and glaring at them.

The man nodded and gulped nervously. "That is probably a good idea."

The two men sat down at the bar. "Thank you for talking me out of that. I almost got myself killed. I'm Sebastiaan by the way. You?"

Tyler nodded and called the bartender over. "I'm Zagan. What would you like to drink?"

Sebastiaan spoke without hesitation. "I'll take some whiskey."

Tyler nodded and relayed the order to the bartender. "So, you come here often?"

Sebastiaan nodded. "This is one of the best clubs on Coruscant. They got the good shit here too."

Tyler raised his brow. "You got any?"

Sebastiaan nodded and took out a small bag. It had some small pink pills in it. "They sell these right in the club, can you believe it?"

Tyler nodded and put some credits on the counter. "I can now. Anyways, my friends are waiting for me. I need to get back to them."

Sebastiaan nodded. "Thanks again. Enjoy your night."

Tyler smiled. "You too." Martini in hand, he made his way over to the VIP tables. He quickly found the group he came with and sat down next to one of the girls. Each guy was sitting between two girls so he sat on the end.

Ferro smiled. "Zagan, you found us!" He took a sip of his drink.

Tyler raised his brow. "Whatcha drinkin?"

Ferro set it down on the table. "This here is a Cuba Libre."

Tyler nodded and looked back towards Granville. He then saw the blue drink in front of him. "Dude, what the fuċk is that?"

Granvilled laughed. "It's called an Adios Mutha Fucka."

Tyler shuddered. "I don't even wanna know what's in that."

Ferro turned to Tyler. "So, where do you and Gran meet?"

Tyler laughed. "About six years ago I was fighting a band of pirates. I was running out of ammo and they were about to overrun my position. Out of nowhere, this jackass runs in, guns blazing, and takes out every single one by himself."

Ferro's mouth was wide open. "Really?"

Tyler smiled. "No. I met him outside."

The entire table laughed. The girl next to Tyler scooted closer to him and brushed her hand on his thɨġh as she laughed.

Suddenly, a squad of bouncers led by a petite asian woman approached their table.

Granville turned to him. "How can we help you guys?"

The woman ignored him and looked straight at Tyler. "Sir, I'm going to have to ask you to come with us."

Tyler picked up his martini and downed the rest of it. "Found out already, eh?" He turned to Granville. "Gran, send me the bill. And don't wait for me. I'll probably be a while."

Granvilled grimaced and the girl next to Tyler pouted. "See ya around, man."

Tyler got up and followed the bouncers. They surrounded him and the woman led the way.

After a few minutes of navigating through the crowd, Tyler was bored. "Did I win something?"

The woman ignored him.

Tyler sighed. "Okay, guess I didn't win anything. Oh! Maybe your boss wants my autograph!"

One of the bouncers pretended to trip and hit Tyler with his shoulder. He looked at Tyler. "Sorry, I tripped."

Tyler rolled his eyes. "Rude."

By now, they were entering a hallway in the back of the club. Two dangerous looking men were guarding the entrance. They stepped aside and allowed the group to pass. About half way down the hall, there was a door with another two men guarding it.

The group stopped at the door. One of the bouncers turned and walked up to Tyler. "Raise your arms please."

Tyler smiled. "I wouldn't do that if I were you."

The bouncer shook his head. "I don't think you understand the situation you are in."

Tyler laughed. "And I don't think you know who I am."

The bouncer started to get angry. "It doesn't matter who you are here."

Tyler raised his brow. "Oh, so my identity does not matter. Are you really willing to ȧssault a General?"

The man quickly stepped back. At that moment, the door slid open. A man was in the doorway. "What is going on out here?"

Tyler smiled. "Finally, are you the one in charge here?"

The man nodded. "Draco dono, please come in."

Tyler nodded and stepped inside. The door slid closed behind him.

Inside was a luxurious office. It was filled with artifacts. The floor was lined with a soft, red carpet. On the far end of the room was a large, black desk with sharp features.

The man walked behind his desk and gestured to the chairs in front of the desk. "Please, sit."

Tyler smiled and took a seat. The chair was quite comfortable. "So, who might you be?"

The man sighed. "I am Takemura Nawaki, oyabun of the Takemura family."

Tyler nodded. "First, Nawaki, I'd like to thank you for the warm welcome. Those dipshits are quite accommodating. Second, are you the big boss or is there someone above even you?"

Nawaki maintained his calm. He could not afford to piss off the person in front of him. "Above me is the kumicho. My family only runs operations on Coruscant."

Tyler smiled. "Good. That means that you aren't the one who is causing problems."

Nawaki raised his brow. "Draco dono, what are these problems you speak of? We are under strict orders to not cross Limitless in any way."

Tyler shook his head. "The problem is not what you are doing, it's what you are not doing. Whose territory is this?"

Nawaki tilted his head. "I'm not sure I understand."

Tyler laughed. "Oh, you do understand. It is quite a simple question. Who runs things around here?"

Nawaki grimaced. "That would be you, Draco dono."

Tyler smiled. "Good. Then whose permission…"

He was cut off by a hologram popping up on the desk. A woman was glaring at him. "Draco. I think it best if we have this conversation in person."
