Silver Wish

Lila woke up and found Kiryu shaking her. The water still clung to his nȧkėd torso. She felt her face grow hot. "Why are you so close?"

"It looked like you were having a nightmare."

She blinked when she heard those words from him. A nightmare? But just now she was thinking of that time. That day she became the number one idol and won the competition, her friends decided to have a party on the school grounds.

During that day, she learned things about Austin Kiryu, and she learned something she did not know before.

"I am..okay."

Kiryu brushed his lips against her forehead. A gentle and light kiss.

"You're trying to act brave again. I told you before that it is useless doing that. I am here for you; you can tell me what's wrong."

How is she supposed to tell him that she misses the past?

He would misunderstand if she said.

"Lila?"

"Nothing." She knew she was acting stubborn, but she could not let him know. "Kiryu, you will catch a cold. You have to dry up."

"Mm? Only brought one towel."

Lila looked at the material on her shoulders; she was about to hand it to him. Kiryu took it, but he suddenly wrapped it around her hair. Her eyes widened.

"You know, I still have feelings for you," Kiryu mumbled. "That is why it is painful for me to watch you like this."

He did not say the words love, but what he said equally made her feel embarrassed.

"We can still meet for a while. But if we get caught, this will stop immediately, okay?"

If they get caught, so if anybody finds out? She has to be careful then.

Kiryu nodded. "Are you hungry? It isn't much, but I made some sandwiches earlier."

She wondered why he was carrying that huge bag; it all makes sense. Lila nodded, and Kiryu picked up the basket. He took a large cloth out and set it out onto the grass.

"Kiryu, your not cold?"

"It's fine; my clothes need to dry." He looked at her and sighed. "So do yours, but I can't ask you to.."

Lila laughed awkwardly. "Right." She didn't know they were going to have a mini-adventure.

"When Haruka gets here, you two need to be very careful." Kiryu trailed off. "Rosalia is serious, Lila; she won't let you be happy."

"I thought she only wanted you."

"That's what I thought originally, that she behaved this way due to her feelings for me. But as time went by, I realized she simply didn't want you to be happy. I realized this when..." Kiryu awkwardly looked away. "--when she slept with Haruka in the island."

At that comment, her eyes widened. It's not like she didn't notice, but she never confirmed it. So something like that happened?

"Don't misunderstand him, Lila. I think he did that to get Rosalia of my back, so we could spend time together."

"You don't need to explain it."

"Lila, Im sorry, but I want to do something bad to you." Huh? What is he talk-- her eyes widened when Kiryu cupped her cheeks. In the next second, he was kissing her deeply.

When he finally pulled away, Lila noticed how red his eyes were. She immediately understood and yet, yet it wasnt right. She pushed him away and stood up. Lila was about to rush off, but Kiryu grabbed her arm.

"Did that make you think of only me? Don't think about that other stuff."

So he did it to make her feel better? Right, Kiryu wouldn't take advantage of her. He is a gentleman and treats her kindly. But is that thought not naive of her? Kiryu is still a man. He is left alone here in this deserted area with the woman he loves. She can't blame him for what just happened there.

Kiryu was also the one who warned her though that men can be wolves in disguise.

"O-Okay. Thank you, I already feel better."

It was a lie, of course. Now she felt worse for different reasons.

Lila realized that her bottom lip was bleeding. He kissed her so hard..

Kiryu brushed his thumb across her lips. "I am sorry for scaring you. I really shouldn't go near you anymore. I understand that, but--" Lila cut him off by resting her head on his ċhėst.

"Kiryu, you know a part of me is glad. I thought you were purposely avoiding this. You know I have a lot of complicated feelings regarding you. But because of the current situation, I can't say anything. I know it is harsh. But right now there are more important things to discuss. Could you tell me where you got this scar from?"

To her surprise, Kiryu lightly brushed their forehead together. "You know Lila. I held back for a long time with you."

"Held back?"

"Yeah, held back and now I regret it. I wish I just followed my dėsɨrės. This way, I wouldn't be making you cry now, but you would be happy." Kiryu pulled away and took something out of his bag. "The real reason I brought you here today is because I wanted you to test your powers."

So there was a real reason? Lila looked at their surroundings and shook her head. "It's too risky. Besides it really is beautiful here. I would like to come back here with you."

Kiryu didn't react to that and walked over to the railing where he hung his clothes. He picked up the shirt and slipped it on. "I have a question for you. Have you met the mayor since this started?"

"Are you talking about Wataru's father? If so, then I have."

"Don't you think something is wrong with him?"

Lila blinked when she sensed his serious words. He is changing gears far too quickly. Did that kiss not affect him at all? But then again. "Kiryu, do you still do that with other girls.."

At that comment, Kiryu sighed and pulled her into his arms again. "You silly girl, I thought you would drop it."

She was going to, but he is a bit too relaxed after doing that to her. Then again, isn't it weird for her to mention this after he dropped the subject already?
