"Aha," Sumire laughed weakly. "I suppose not. You see, Yuhi, I am still unsure about many things. I get anxious and worried over such normal things. You accepted that part of me and offered me so much advice. But I realized that I wasn't getting any better even after so many years had passed. When it looks like I am making progress, I fall apart again. I was just going around in circles. I was worried that I was burdening you too much."

"Hah, it's not like I didn't understand that. Sumire, I already knew. But the reason why I didn't confront you about it was because I understood. He already knew? Despite the lengthy speech, the thing that stood out to her were those words.

Why does that surprise her so much? This person has always understood her far better than she did herself from the very start. It is the same for her; she also cannot live without him.

Yuhi made this decision because he understood that it was the same for her because they could not survive without each other it was better to go together.

Her thoughts broke off when she felt Yuhi pat her back. "Alright, I'm going to stop being mad now. I don't like being angry at you for long."

Sumire laughed at those words. "You say that, but the aura around you is still intense. I can tell your still mad."

"Well, I know you feel bad." Yuhi trailed off. "Let me update you on what happened. It seems Hamano Mikami found Kusaji Rinna. They contacted the manor asking for you to look at Kusaji Rinna, but I went instead since you weren't there."

"Ah."

Yuhi exhaled deeply. "Those kids need to go under severe therapy after this is all over. They have seen far too much. I'm worried how bad their mental states are."

Right because those kids were born in a time period of peace.

"At least they found her." Sumire trailed off. "What about Kasumi-chan?"

"There is news on that one too. It seems she decided to stay with Kanehera Yumeko-" Yuhi paused. "There is a casualty."

"Who?"

"Siena's daughter, Kogami Yori."

Sumire felt her anger increase when she heard those words. Even though she was trying so hard to ensure there were no casualties. Since the world started to fall apart, she prioritized the safety of her children's friends.

'I do not want them to experience what we did.'

To think she would sacrifice herself aimlessly when there has already been a death.

"Yuhi-san, let's find another way."

"Hmm?"

"I was rushing aimlessly when I decided to switch places with Lila because I wanted to reverse the situation quickly. However," Her eye color turned red. "If they have already caused a death, then I want to be alive to ensure they receive appropriate punishment."

"You're always so frightening, mother. But that side of you is very cool."

Huh? Sumire turned to the voice and saw a young man with brown spiky colored hair and amethyst colored eyes.

"Rio!"

It was her eldest son Terashima Rio; she had not seen him in what eight years? He disappeared; no quote went on an adventure the year before she disappeared, so she hasn't seen him in so long.

"Yo!"

Sumire walked over and hit his head. "You're worse than Huan. What's with the adventure blood in this family?"

Rio pouted. "But mother, you should be proud of me. I was slaying dragons and helping poor villages."

Her eyes twitched, annoyed when she heard those words. "So that's where you got to? You were exploring the regions." No wonder she couldn't find him in any city.

When she decided to go on her journey of redemption, she searched for Rio. At the very least, just in case Yuhi-san went weird, she wanted their eldest son to be there. But she couldn't find him anywhere.

"Anyway, you-" Her sentence fell short when she spotted somebody with him. He looked like a boy around fifteen years old with a dark shade of brown hair and amethyst-colored eyes.

Standing next to Rio, there was some resemblance. No, this combination- Yuhi stepped forward.

"So it's you, your Lila's son."

"Huh? But Lila-chan's son should be-" Sumire paused, recalling something. "When your powers are unstable as a child, you tend to grow older faster. But this is-"

This is too much, Lila-chan only gave birth to this child this year, but now he is two years younger than his mother?

"Hello."

"I thought she looked like my cute sister but really?" Rio said, startled.

"Hey, hey, your mother is already mad. If she finds out you couldn't even tell when someone with the same bloodline is next to you, she will freak."

Sumire, however, kept her gaze on the child in front of her before walking over. She patted her hand on his shoulder, and the moment she did, a powerful black aura surrounded the child.

"It seems he was having a hard time controlling his ability, so I thought I would bring him to you, mother."

"This-"

"I'm your grandmother-" Sumire paused. "I suppose I look the part now my hair is white."

Yuhi rolled his eyes. "But my wife, your still a beauty."

"Quit it, not in front of the kids."

Why does he find a way to shamelessly flirt with her every single time? At those words, the boy sank to the ground.

"Haha, thank goodness."

"See, I told you I wasn't suspicious!"

"Rio-san, your dressed like a hobo; of course, I will suspect you."

"That is so cruel, but those cold-hearted eyes and words look exactly like my cute sister-" Rio paused. "I guess if you are Lila's son, then that makes me your uncle."

"Sumire?!" Yuhi said, alarmed as he rushed to her side.

"I'm okay, but-" Sumire's gaze fell towards the sky. "Now we have another problem."

The others looked in the direction of the window, and there beside the moon was another moon, but this other moon was pitch black.

"That is going to cause problems."

"Tsk, it's one problem after the other," Yuhi mumbled. "Rio, heal your mother. I'm going to speak with the lord of this manor."

"Can I go with you?" The young boy asked.

"Alright, come with me." Yuhi bent down and gently kissed her forehead, eyelids, nose, and lips.. "You behave."
