"You don't have to be so stiff; it is not like I am going to interrogate you." Lila pressed her lips onto his briefly. "Uh, this is embarrassing after all."

"Embarrassing?"

"I mean, uh, we are both nȧkėd and kissing-" Lila shyly covered he mouth. "It's embarrassing saying it too."

Why does he find everything she says and does endearing? How much does he love this woman? It feels like he could do anything for her.

Before he knew what he was doing, he washed her hair and pampered her.

It is strange, but it feels like he used to do this often.

Lila kept stealing glances and then randomly kissing him. Haruka could no longer take it, so he kissed her deeply when she was about to pull away after kissing him.

"Do you have any idea what you are doing to me?" His voice was hoarse as he kissed her neckline.

"Um, I think I can guess. I mean, you used to pounce on me all the time. Your self-control must be going crazy."

Hah, so even though she knew she had been seducing him?

"I truly want to be with you forever, Haruka," Lila mumbled. "That is why, please be patient. I will solve everything, and then we can return to living a normal life again."

'I want to stop her.' There was a voice in his head telling him to stop her. Does the voice belong to the him with memories? But after hearing how things were in the past, Haruka wanted to respect her decision more than anything.

After they finished bathing, he carried her to the room and changed her. He was currently drying her hair, and the girl laughed.

"This reminds me of the past."

"Did we do this a lot?"

"Back when we were in London, yes. When we returned to Japan, our schedules didn't synchronize well, so we did not see each other a lot."

"It's hard to imagine that. I don't like being apart from you for more than a few seconds."

"Mmm, you know London is a great place. But actually, what do you think of Ireland? There are a few islands there, and we can have a peaceful life, you, me, and our child-" Lila stopped in mid-sentence, but Haruka had already heard her.

Huh? Did he hear her say, child? Since they are married, it should not surprise him that they have children. But with his wife's poor constitution, he didn't think they would have a child.

Haruka saw her darkened expression and hugged her tightly. "I'm sorry, don't run away. Forget that we had this conversation. I won't ask."

"Haruka."

"Even before you regained your memories, you were always so considerate of me. When you regained them, it looked like you were battling something. I won't ask to get my memories back, but I want you to be comfortable when you share things with me."

He does not want to put even more strain on her.

"Haruka, the thing is-" Her sentence fell short when somebody slammed the doors open. It was Nobu.

"Lila-san, you have to come down now--" Nobuhiko paused and saw the situation. "Uh, maybe I should come back later."

Lila wiped her tears and drew back from him.

"It's alright. Did something happen?"

"Hamano Mikami arrived here."

"Did he find Kasumi?"

"No, the thing is-"

Haruka saw her expression change. 'It would be bad for me to intervene.' He grabbed hold of her hands, gave it a little squeeze, and kissed her forehead.

"You go ahead. I want to watch some more videos."

Lila looked conflicted but nodded. "Alright." With those words said, she quickly left the room with Nobu.

The moment she left, he walked over to the bed and laid down. He placed his arm over his eyes.

So they have a child, a child, huh? Is it a boy or a girl? No matter what the gender is, he hopes it looks like her. He hopes the child inherited his mother's personality and not his.

Lila's eyes widened when she saw the person on the stretcher in the living room. It was a woman with indigo-colored hair and golden-colored eyes. But unlike the usual cheerful appearance, her friend's face color was devoid of all life. Her clothes were tattered, and she had all sorts of wounds across her body.

There was somebody else there too, a man with midnight blue colored hair and golden colored eyes.

The person who just bought her looked just as lifeless, and he had minor injuries.

"Mikami-kun."

Hamano Mikami was one of the good friends she made when she was studying in Light town. Ever since the world turned upside down, she has not seen him since he has been too busy searching for her best friend, Kasumi.

Mikami did leave a message saying he would only be in contact when he had found Kasumi. So when Nobuhiko said Mikami was here, she almost got her hopes up.

It isn't Kasumi, but it was still somebody just as important.

"I found someone, unfortunately not the one I wanted." Mikami had a hint of bitterness in his tone.

It was a relief that he found Rinna, but this person most likely wants to see her best friend, Iwa Kasumi, instead.

Lila walked over to the girl to examine her wounds when she saw something familiar around the girls' neck.

'This it's a token of friendship since we are friends now.' An image of the past of two people appeared in her head.

Her eyes widened, realizing that it belonged to Kasumi, and she carefully removed it from the girl.

"Lila-chan?" Kotori said, puzzled.

She immediately opened the locket and found a small recording device taped to the center.

"Lila or Kiryu." Kasumi's familiar voice filled the room, causing Mikami to bolt up. "I trust that if you are listening to this, then you must have found Rinna. She suffered severe injuries when the dome mysteriously vanished because she protected me. I am not good at healing, so all I could do was make her sleep and put her in a semi-coma state. Please take care of her for me. The reason why I did not go with her even though it would be better for me to do so after finding an exit." Her voice seemed to falter.

"Yori has passed away."

At those words, her face color turned cold. Huh? She felt her vision turn blurry, and her breathing became unsteady.

What-

What did she just say?

That is impossible; there is no way. Lila thought she already understood the situation.

They are not living in peaceful times anymore. But she did not think somebody would die.. She didn't think anybody close to her would die.
