RWBY: Fireborn

Logan woke up on the seventh day after he used his [Phoenix Down] ability. Then standing up out of the bead be was given by Glynda, Logan stretched his body, but not his wings due to the cramped space. Then reaching into his [Inventory], Logan took out a spare change of clothes he kept in there.

Exiting, Logan found Glynda up and had coffee brewed for the both of them as she prepare breakfast for them both. One thing about both of them were that they were early risers. Logan just muttered a good morning to her while he got out cups for them both and poured coffee for them. Glynda then plated breakfast as Logan placed plates by her, and once she was done Logan took the to the table using his ash.

The two of them made small talk while they ate. Glynda had a day or two more left for her break while Logan had to return sometime later today. Logan being himself, wanted to pay Glynda back for his stay with her. Glynda didn't want nothing of it and denied any repayment from him. Logan then managed to talk her into getting some pastries from the one store that was popular for the two of them, with her picking what she wanted out. Logan then found out that day that she had a sweet tooth.

The two of them left Glynda's apartment around noon and headed for the pasty store. Though Logan knew of the place, he never been there before. So when he saw that the place was called 'Pastry Palace', he was pleasantly surprised that it looked like an modern shop with some pastry cutouts here and there. He thought it would be very pink or something along those lines.

Logan shook his head as the two of them walked in. After a 30 minute wait, Glynda and Logan got their plates; in Glynda's case was many indeed. Logan only got two plates while Glynda got close to five. Logan made the smart move and didn't say anything about it.

The tow of them talked about future plans about their classes. Laughing about some of the things that happened during them and a few things more as they ate. As the two of them enjoyed themselves, an explosion occurred about four or five blocks away from the and down the street from the store. Both Logan and Glnda sighed in defeat as they both stood up and left after Logan paid the bill. They knew they had to deal with it as one was a licensed huntress and the other was one on a technical level.

As they both left the store, Logan went ahead by flying above the buildings. Glynda followed after jumping on top of a building. Logan got there first and started crowd control as he got the fire that broke out under control. When Glynda showed up, she began to use her semblance to lift rubble and get those that couldn't get out, out of there. It took about five minutes for all the fire to be condensed into a small marble-like object in Logan's palm and Glynda managed to get five more people out from the rubble as the fire department and ambulance to arrive.

As the two of them talked and gave a report to the fire chef that ordered the fire fighters to find the source of the fire, Glynda heard the clash of metal on metal not far from them. Logan glanced at her and got a nod, then he grabbed her arm and throw it over his shoulder and flew off to the battle that was going on. Getting to the sight of the battle, they found team RWBY fighting an Atlas mech. Logan and Glynda floated in the air as they watched RWBY fight.

They watched as Ruby and Blake ran passed the legs as they took swipes at it and Weiss then taking a chance with an opening to disable some exterior cameras on it's front. Then Yang jumped on top of it and began to wailing on it's ċȯċkpit. As the mech tried to shake Yang off of it, Ruby coated her scythe with hard-light dust to make it extremely sharp and cut through one of the legs with ease. Weiss then used her 'Time Dilatation' glyphs and sped up Blake as she cut through the other leg.

Logan watched as the team move with near perfect sync as they battled with approval. While Glynda looked with awe at their teamwork as then haven't shown this in school as of yet. As the mech came crashing down, the ċȯċkpit ejected from it and the pilot threw himself out of it as it skidded to a halt. Roman Torchwick, the Criminal Boss of all of Vale, stood and dusted himself off.

It was at this point that Logan and Glynda intervened as the two of them descended as fast as Logan could. Gynda went ahead and closed Roman in a purple aura bubble while Logan immediately surrounded and subdued a girl with light pink, brown and white hair as she suddenly appeared in front of Roman with a parasol umbrella. The pink girl then tried to fight Logan with a mixture of slashes and stabs while trying to get Roman out as fast as she could before RWBY could get their second wind.

Glynda's aura bubble held even when Logan backed off to get some distance from the girl and used his ash to close in on her ankles without her noticing.When she did notice, she became more and more desperate to get Roman free even going so far as to disregard her own safety to do so. Logan ended up having to completely restrain her to keep her from trying to free herself t the cost of her own health. Even when she was completely encased with Logan's ash up to her shoulders, she strained herself to break free. Causing Logan to have to knock her out with a chop to the neck.

Logan already knew who the girl was and did his best to keep her from running in case she tried to get Roman from where ever he was placed again. And from how hard she was trying, she seemed desperate. Needless to say, the girl was one Neopolitan. Roman's right-hand ȧssistant.

Once Logan was sure that Neo couldn't get out form his ash, he did the same with Roman once Glynda popped her aura bubble. As the two of them were watching over the two criminals, Ruby called the Vale Police Department for transport. Once Logan was done with the two criminals, he turned towards the team. His eyes held no good things in them, only grim things for them.

Logan: "Start talking." Logan ordered, looking right at Ruby with a strong stare.

Ruby: "Well... I... ah...." Ruby stumbled over her words as she tried to speak. "We w-were out just walking around, trying to scout out the teams for the Vital Festival, when we came upon a break-in happening at a dust shop." Ruby managed to blurt out. "It was Weiss's idea!" She said as she throw Weiss under the bus.

Weiss: "Hey!"

Glynda: "And how does that lead to fighting a stolen Atlas mech?" Glynda asked after placing the two criminals into an reinforced aura bubble. "Because I don't see the connection." She finished sternly.

Weiss: "When we followed the vehicle that fled the scene of the crime, it lead us to an abandoned warehouse with a good portion of the dust that was stolen the last month." Weiss spoke up for Ruby as she could bȧrėly handle the pressure Logan and Glynda were giving off. As we went to report it, Roman Torchwich busted through a wall with said mech. We didn't know what his target was, but we were in the way so he tried to get rid of us."

Yang: "We weren't gonna be run over like some roadkill!" Yang shouted, but was quieted by a glare from Logan.

Blake: "Professor Scarlett and Professor Goodwitch, we couldn't stand by and watch as it was happening, so we took the problem into our own hands." Blake spoke up for the team. "It was either we do nothing and watch as innocent people get hurt or we do something that could save lives."

Logan: "The explosion?" Logan asked as his eyes were then shadowed by his hand as he pinched the bridge of his nose. "Where does the explosion come into play?"

Logan: "Miss Goodwitch, it's your call from here." Logan said to her as he went to deal with the police that arrived to the ash and aura bubble prison.

Logan left to talk to the police while Glynda laid into them about their recklessness. As Logan talked the the police, they wanted to take term RWBY in for questioning as they were the ones who fought Roman. Logan tried to get them to go off what he and Glynda got out of them when they questioned them, but they couldn't as it was procedure for the incident. Logan sighed as he went and told RWBY what needed to be done as they couldn't use their status as students to get off from any trouble.

A round of grumblings came from the team after Logan told them what was going to happen to them, by they at least got good news. Both Roman and Neo were placed in aura sapping cuffs and were heavily restrained. That and both Logan and Glynda were coming with them to make sure they were successfully transferred into a special holding cell to hold them. Unfortunately, they had to ride in the back of a transport van til they got to the station. As team RWBY, Logan, and Glynda got into a transport van with the unconscious Roman and Neo, Ruby decided to break the weird, awkward silence in the van.

Ruby: "So Logan, what was the mission about?" Ruby asked hesitantly. "The search and destroy mission?"

Logan: "It was more of a recon mission." Logan responded. "There was a concerning sighting of one of the Legendary Grimm. The Titan-boa, to be specific."

Yang: "You find anything?!" Yang asked excitedly from hearing Logan. "Or did ya fight it?!"

Blake: "Yang, calm down please." Blake asked while reading off of her scroll, but her ears gave away her curiosity about it as well.

Logan: "Like I said, it was more of a recon mission as we don't know enough about the Titan-boa." Logan answered Yang and Ruby. "We don't know how much of the legends are true about it and how much of them are false. Same with the other ones as well."

Yang: "Oh... So, Professor Goodwitch, what were you up to on your leave?" Yang asked after Logan didn't say much more. "Oh, and what your wearing is pretty as well."

Weiss: "I see..." Weiss said as she notice that neither Glynda or Logan were in a talking mood. "May I ask why Logan was carrying you when the two of you arrived?" Weiss asked as her mind wondered back to when they got there.

Glynda: "Logan and I met before you four decided to fight an Atlas mech." Glynda commented without realizing it. "We happened to meet after he bumped into me at a street corner." She covered for herself quickly.

Logan: "Hey, I said I was sorry." Logan said quickly to cover for his disappearance for the week and for Glynda. "And I just got tired of flying everywhere and I needed to pick a few things up I needed."

RWBY was a bit off put when they began to argue for a bit. But then Logan told them a tale of how the mission went for him, while he decided to record what he said so that Ozpin could back his claims. He told them how he had to deal with a few large groups of Grimm and how he broke a few weapons he brought with him. It was basically story time with Logan as they made their way to the police station.
