Qingxue decided to face this head-on, “This is not an order from me, it’s the Young Madam who asks you to run this errand.”

Qiushuang vented her anger on Qingxue, “Don’t get too carried away, my good sister, it’s not necessarily a good thing to wait upon the Young Madam in the room, look at Bailu!”

Cao Mo gave a cough, Qingxue lifted the curtain from outside and waited for Cao Mo to give orders. Cao Mo said slowly, “Qiushuang, go arrange some sedan chair bearers for tomorrow.”

Cao Mo ordered a mammy to get some coal cinder, the mammy was in a daze, seeing that Cao Mo said, “Go get some sand.”

The mammy was at a loss, “Young Madam, it’s snowing, the soil in the garden is frozen, I’m afraid I can’t find any.”

Xiao Yi smiled, he knew Cao Mo was asking for sand to pave on the way in case the sedan chair bearers slipped and hurt him. Xiao Yi looked at the the mammies to gather around and lie on the ground.

The mammies took the order readily, it seemed like they were used to orders like this.

Cao Mo took pity on the mammies, “Yi, we can use some straw mats on the ground, I really don’t have the heart to walk over their bodies.”
