Chapter 104 - Fresh Food Delivery

[ARYA]

"Hey! Okay, alright, my apologies!" the man who had interrupted the three wolves said. He was probably petrified by the size of the animals that were growling at him, daring him to take a step forward.

Anyone in their right mind should have run away because they were in a world where wolves were non-existent, and they were fictional beings that weren't even supposed to coexist with humans.

Andrew commanded the two wolves to stay behind him.

He was their leader here, and if anyone wanted to hurt them, they would have to go through the head warrior. That was how much he valued the friends who had been making fun of him for being as stupid when it came to technology.

They valued each other. Andrew stalked toward the human that was still standing there, his arms up in surrender, but Andrew wasn't buying it. If he tried anything, he would show the human what it meant to be part of Arya Knight's trusted team.

"Look, I was sent here, okay. My best friend told me to come to this place today. She said, and I quote, 'be there on the third of October, at exactly four o'clock in the evening.' I swear that is what she said," the human said when Andrew kept stalking towards him.

The wolves were scary, and the human could see that they would tear through him in one move if he tried anything. He couldn't make it out the door even if he wanted to go out and get help, and he was cornered.

"Her name was Knight. She said she was an alpha in a different world but thought she was just telling me that she was an alpha female, y'know, an independent, strong woman in the human world," the human insisted as Andrew didn't even make a move to stop.

As if they had taken through their mind links, Ken and Enrique blocked the door so that the human wouldn't run away.

They had cornered him.

"C'mon, man, I'm just here because little Arya sent me. Man, she sent me to show up at her house today, and at this time, how the hell was I supposed to know I'd meet wolves in her place, man" the human said.

For a human, he was pretty courageous, or maybe it was because the person he was talking about had prepared him. Then again, no amount of preparation could make any human be at peace when they saw Andrew's huge black wolf.

It was crazy, and his silver eyes could make someone pee in their pants even before they made the first utterance. Andrew sniffed the air as if waiting for the human to be having potions of wolfsbane, but he had nothing.

He didn't seem dangerous, but how could they trust him? Maybe this was one of those moments he needed to take a leap of faith. The human had come here, without knocking, with keys in his hands like he knew the passcode and the exact door.

He wasn't even worried that he had the wolves circling him or that he would be eaten. Andrew could tell he came in peace because anyone in his place could have screamed shitless, and they could have already attracted the attention of many or even called animal control.

In their mind-link, the wolves were arguing about the human threat levels posed. They were studying him. He looked plain and clearly had some guts for standing for so long in the middle of the wolves.

He didn't have plans to leave, which could mean that he either knew he would find wolves, or he had seen a more giant wolf than theirs. Only one wolf could be larger than the three wolves and even larger than the wolves of the alpha and luna of the moonlight pack.

The rebel's wolf.

Arya had to have been crazy.

Agreeing not to tear the human apart, the three wolves returned to their human forms. However, the three idiots didn't end their conversations. Either that or they wanted to see what the human intended to do.

"We could drink for him; it's been a while since I ate fresh meat," Ken said.

"Well, we should make good use of that girl. He looks like he weighs seventy kilos. If we rid ourselves of his head, fingers, and feet, that should leave us with fifty kilos, that's a good measure if you ask me," Enrique said.

"A pretty good motivation for me to start my work tomorrow with the man I think I like," Andrew said, ŀɨċkɨnġ his lips and allowing his fangs to show.

He really looked scary, with his face starting to conform to his true nature, a wolf. His hands were still claws, and he was waving them carelessly on the human's face like he wanted the human to know that he looked like food and they were hungry.

"If you kill me, she'll kill you," the human dared to say, and the wolves just laughed.

"Look at him, thinking he stands a chance against the wolves who have been away from home for so long. I say we eat him up. I can burn the bones, or we can eat the bones too. It's healthy if you ask me," Andrew said, and the human's face changed from relaxed to mortified real quick.

He wasn't sure whether Andrew was joking or he was dead serious. Whatever he meant, the human wasn't going to stay and see for himself.

Maybe he could just run away, but then how could he when Enrique had already closed the door and the curtains? It looked like he had walked into the lion's den, and now he was indeed about to be food.

"Alright, I'm just a messenger, okay. Arya Knight sent me a package and gave e instructions to show up. I never thought I'd be meeting you people here. I take it the three of you are Andrew, Kennedy, and Enrique unless you're…rogues,'' the human said, unsure of what he was about to say.

The three people in this room looked unhinged, like they wanted to break free but couldn't. They Were clearly having the time of their lives with him standing there like a coward, though.

Maybe it wasn't so bad, but then no one had ever told him that even though he was a human, he would have an ending so cruel like that of animals. Maybe he just needed to resolve his fate, but what if he was right?

"That woman will pay me a shitload for this," the human mumbled. He was scared, the perfect reaction that Andrew had been looking for since they started staring at the mundane like he was food.

Truthfully, this man could make good food for a day, for them, considering they were fully grown wolves who looked like they really wanted to feed on something that had fresh blood dripping from it.

Here in the human world, they couldn't go hunting, lest Arya be accused of being a murderer. So they were stuck here.

"Y'know, my mom always said that introductions are an essential part of meeting people," Andrew said, finally giving the human some space.
