Dear readers,

My apologies for the missing chapter. Will try my best to prevent such issues from happening again. This is a new chapter that I was planning to post tomorrow, but since I’ve made a mistake so now it is. Hope you’ll like it.

Zhao Zheng was taken aback. After all, through her whole life, not to mention being scolded, she had never been given a disapproving look. She was the eldest lady, the apple of the eye of everyone in the Zhao family. But at this moment, she saw many sisters given birth by her father’s concubines were waiting in the lobby to see how she ended up and to laugh at her. She became extremely annoyed.

But in the end, she had been raised up as the eldest legal lady of a big family. Even if she had stayed within the mansion and seldom came out, she was still capable of maintaining her calmness. Old Master Zhao, though dissatisfied towards what she had done today, didn’t find it a big problem that couldn’t be solved. Seeing Zhao Zheng’s self-composure at such a moment, he grew less irritated at once.

His anger disappeared, he certainly wouldn’t let his dear granddaughter lose face, yet there was still a shadow of sulk on his face, “Oh, Zheng my dear, what do you want me to do? You’re a smart girl. Come on and tell me what you are going to do in the future?”

If Old Master Zhao had been raging all the time, Zhao Zheng could remain her casual and calm air, but now, seeing her loving grandpa asked her in this way, she instantly couldn’t restrain the springing of her tears and tried hard to maintain self-possessed, “You know grandpa, I’ve never changed my mind.”

She said frankly, not fearing others to know. Across the whole capital city, who didn’t like Yuxing Tianrui? That would be sheer pretence. How could one not like a good man like him?

Old Master Zhao fixed his eyes on her for a long time, and when he saw Zhao Zheng began to be nervous, burst into a shout of laughter, “Great. Great. You are something like when I was young.” His praise also meant his forgiveness. Zhao Zheng understood that and took a breath of relief.

After all, a Crown Prince’s concubine with the support of her maternal family and one without it were totally different. If the Zhao family really gave up on her, it would be harder for her to make a mark in the capital than to touch the sky. By then, she was afraid that those who used to be obsequious to her would step on her hard.

Seeing Old Master Zhao actually had taken this matter in such a pretentiously grave way, the rest of the others who never wished good for Zhao Zheng all had a displeasure crossing their eyes, especially the second lady Zhao, whose face turned cold in an instant. However, she was a daughter of a concubine, never enjoying the affection of Old Master Zhao, had to swallow this hurting rage.

In that night, the Zhao family saw both joyful and worrying people. It seemed Old Master Zhao was going to step in the matter of Yuxing Tianrui taking a concubine. When he learned it from Luo Yi, Du Chuxuan couldn’t help spitting out the tea in his mouth, while Dongxiang, standing close to him, fell the victim with a whining face.

“Your Highness, please pay attention to your manner.” Dongxiang’s hands shook in anger. Copying women’s virtues for ten times was said to be a punishment on Her Highness, but in fact, every single character had been finished by him. Soon the last copy was to be finished, but it was completely destroyed by Du Chuxuan.

Du Chuxuan also felt bad at the ruined copy, because it was time to have meal. Yuxing Tianrui was really some tsundere prince. He not only forbad Du Chuxuan to eat but demanded he watch him eating. Every meal to Du Chuxuan became a torment.

Knowing that Dongxiang had worked very hard since last night, Du Chuxuan couldn’t well demand he made another copy. At once, Du Chuxuan turned to Luo Yi and said in a cold tone, “Since the damage is caused because of you bringing the news, so you finish the last copy.” Du Chuxuan looked a little sullen, so Luo Yi, helpless, had to take over the pen from Dongxiang.

Fortunately, people of Sect Luo were well-trained and naturally good at imitating people’s handwriting. With a few glances, Luo Yi had a careful observation of Dongxiang’s handwriting and when he started, he wrote exactly the same one.

“Wow. That’s awesome. If I didn’t see with my own eyes, I wouldn’t believe it’s written by you.” Dongxiang rubbed his sore wrists and seeing the scene, opened his eyes wide in astonishment.

Luo Yi, being praised, couldn’t help feeling proud. Usually, he had people to finish such a triple, so he was of course delighted when he made such an affect by doing it personally for the first time.

Du Chuxuan was too lazy to pay attention to them. He had heard this morning that his performance was talked about by everyone in an exaggerated way. Now, people discussed it on the street when they encountered a friend and said highly of him.

He looked at the folding fan in his hand, pondering over what method Old Master Zhao would use to make the matter happen. Du Chuxuan had seen clearly that Yuxing Tianrui wasn’t in the least interested in the so-called eldest lady Zhao.

When Dongxiang looked up he immediately saw Du Chuxuan’s baffled look. Clever as him, he instantly figured what was bothering Du Chuxuan, “Your Highness always says to let the rice be cooked. And the Zhao lady is eager to get married. By then, it’s not up to her what will happen, right?”

To Dongxiang, it was a matter readily to be solved, because the plot happened in every novel. Yet, Her Highness, having read so many novels, couldn’t get a slightest hint out of them. What a waste of novels!

With Dongxiang’s advice, Du Chuxuan had a flash of inspiration in his brain. How could he not think through such an obvious thing? He always treated himself as a man and thought things from a man’s viewpoint of a bigger picture. He really had forgotten that now he had identity of a woman.

The method a woman used against another woman was one of those dirty tricks among a big mansion, wasn’t it?

Thinking this through, he was much relieved and took a deep breath, turning back to urge Luo Yi for the last time, “Write it carefully. If His Highness sees it’s your work, I’ll let you write a hundred times!”

He pretended to threaten him and then unwillingly picked up a piece of dim sum to eat. He would just take it as a meat instead of something made of flour.

Dongxiang smiled amusedly, but, seeing a shadow of dark clothes from the corners of his eyes, quickly resumed his serious face, pretending nothing had happened.

Unexpectedly, Her Highness wasn’t aware of it at all and blurted out, “At this hour, he must be in the morning session. I think I can finish eating if I ask the kitchen to cook something for me and bring over.”

“My princess is so brilliant. I admire you so very much.” Yuxing Tianrui had anticipated that by no chance Du Chuxuan would obediently copy ten times of women’s virtues. It was also on this account that he had forbidden him to eat meat before finishing. Yet and yet, he hadn’t expected him to have so many ideas against it!
