75. Openly Eating Tofu

Back to the East Palace, Du Chuxuan was still in confusion. He pulled Yuxing Tianrui, who was taking off his clothes, over against the pillar, “What did they ask? Why you don’t want to tell me till now?”

He was being handsy, but the feeling that he was the last one to be told when everyone else knew it already was quite a torment to him. On the way back, he had asked Dongxiang, Ada and Luo Yi, but all of them let him ask Yuxing Tianrui in person.

Yet, Yuxing Tianrui’s reaction had been even more annoying. He regarded him from head to toe for several times but just wouldn’t tell him except one warning that it was a secret not to be revealed. Then, he turned away to alight the sedan chair, leaving Du Chuxuan no chance to ask again. Therefore, now Du Chuxuan wouldn’t miss out this opportunity.

Because of this posture, the two were too close to each other. Yuxing Tianrui subconsciously struggled but accidentally rubbed against some Du Chuxuan’s indescribable part which seemed in a high spirit. At once, Yuxing Tianrui stayed still and daren’t to move. Thanks to the book he got from Du Chuxuan, he knew pretty well what was going on now.

“What are you thinking?!” He turned to look at Du Chuxuan and saw his joyful smile like that of a cat succeeding in stealing a fish, becoming a little displeased, “How could you do this?! I should call over the tutor nanny of the palace and teach you disciplines all over again!”

Du Chuxuan was too impatient to hear his feeble threat and blocked it within his mouth. All the maids in the room lowered their heads. Since they came back from the borders, they seldom needed maids in the room, but now it wasn’t sleep time, so the maids were all waiting here.

It had never occurred to the maids that the usually graceful Her Highness should be so wild and daring as to kiss His Highness of her own accord. If this was known by others, the whole capital city would laugh at Her Highness for poor family nurtures.

Du Chuuxan had never cared what others thought. Nonetheless, he knew Yuxing Tianrui was thin-skinned, so immediately his lips parted Yuxing Tianrui’s, but the look in his eyes was obvious: I’ll take care of you later.

“There’s no work for you to do. You may leave.” He turned around and said to the maidservants, his hands never moving away. Then, as if thinking of something, he added coldly, “You’re the maids of the East Palace. I guess you understand what should be said and what shouldn’t.”

Only when Du Chuxuan said this did Yuxing Tianrui remember that there were maids in his room and instantly flushed terribly and struggled harder. The maids hadn’t all left yet, and Du Chuxuan had to tried so hard on one hand to maintain his demeanor and on the other hand to stop Yuxing Tianrui from running away.

Seeing the last maid obediently close the gate behind her, he carried his prince up and softly threw him onto the bed, “What do you mean, Your Highness? It was you who said I had a physical condition. If we did nothing with it, I’m afraid if father and mother asked, it would be the Crime of Deceiving the Emperor!”

He whispered in Yuxing Tianrui’s ear with a deep voice. Having lived together for so long, Du Chuxuan had long discovered that the ears were the most sensitive part of Du Chuxuan. When they cuddled in sleep, his ears turned scarlet by the blowing of a mere breath, let alone he talked so much to it.

Yuxing Tianrui’s kitten round eyes were wide open and looked at Du Chuxuan in disbelief. At this moment, he felt Du Chuxuan was wickedly charming and domineering, completely the other extremity of who he usually was. Somehow there was a slip in the workings of his mind and Yuxing Tianrui suddenly said, “I’ll tell you what happened just now. I’ll tell you.”

The arrow was ready to shoot, and Yuxing Tianrui should be still thinking of such stuff? Du Chuxuan laughed from the annoyance at how his mind worked, “What are you talking about? Your Highness is my heaven. If you want me to know, I’ll know; if you don’t, I won’t ask.”

The more he said in this way, the more Yuxing Tianrui found him dangerous. Yet, on account of their gesture, Yuxing Tianrui couldn’t push Du Chuxuan away even with all of his strength. The prince was nervous but also liked it. A voice in his heard said shyly that he liked this kind of domineering intimacy.

At the sight of Yuxing Tianrui’s red-rimmed eyes, Du Chuxuan sighed helplessly. They seemed to be two completely different forces which shouldn’t be blended together but yet somehow began to fall for each other. Nevertheless, one was too reserved to say it, while the other wasn’t sure what would be a proper way to put it.

Helplessly, he pulled the prince up and gently rubbed his back which hurt a little from being thrown on the bed. Du Chuxuan took Yuxing Tianrui into his arms and let him comfortably lean on his chest, “Your Highness still doesn’t trust me? Alright, I understand everything is unsettled yet, but please don’t keep me wait too long.”

This remark was nothing but a confession. Hearing it, Yuxing Tianrui felt his whole body was burning. He tried to push Du Chuxuan away, but he found his hands somehow limp, yet his mouth was unsparing, “I’m the Crown Prince. You should just listen to me in everything. You were being too rude.”

“I was being rude? Then what Your Highness is going to do with that?” Du Chuxuan released him and let him lean on the bed, asking with a smile in his eyes.

“I’ll punish you to be grounded for three days and copy female virtuous ten times, and you’re not allowed to eat meat before you finish!”

Du Chuxuan’s expression was a little distorted at once. This tsundere prince was really someone heaven sent over to torture him. Yet, he didn’t mind it. He would do everything to make his wifey happy.

“Your Highness is right. Yet, in the East Palace, we eat together, and Your Highness should set an example for us.” Hearing that, Yuxing Tianrui realized that he had set a trap for himself. His face sullen, speechless, he turned away, obviously not going to talk to Du Chuxuan for a long time.

Of course what happened between them was known to no one. Soon after the Banquet was over, Zhao Zheng with her displeased face went back to the Zhao Mansion with her families, feeling quite disconcerted. She knew that after what had happened in the banquet, she would be abandoned by the Zhao family as a useless chess piece. Except for getting someone marrying her, the Zhao family wouldn’t give her more care.

“Unfilial girl! Get your ass in here!” As she expected, the moment she entered the Mansion, she heard the shout from Old Master Zhao.
