There are also some posts with very different styles.

“Originally, my heart shattered when I was eliminated on day 5. But after checking out the official statistics, I saw that out of 160 million contestants, only 52 million advanced to the next round. I instantly felt calm – the elimination rate was more than 67%. No wonder I failed.”

“Only 1206 players cleared the instance. I calculated and found that the rate of clearance is only about 0.075 per 10,000 players.”

“I managed to muddle through until the 15th day when my crappy luck caused me to stumble right into the middle of a gang war. I couldn’t even last ten minutes amidst the rain of bullets… I had no choice but to ask the system to send me out. Fortunately, I left just in time. I had less than 8 energy the moment the system transferred me out!! I’m really curious, how exactly did those players manage to clear the instance? What, were you guys impervious to swords and bullets, or did you get bulletproof vests from somewhere?”

“As a player who successfully cleared the instance, I have to say with great sorrow that the last few days of this instance were simply outrageous! If you didn’t have enough resources or made a mistake when choosing which ration to stock, you definitely won’t last till day 20. Would you guys believe me when I say you directly lose 40 energy on the 20th day if you contracted a disease?! If it weren’t for stocking more medicines during the first few days of the instance, I would’ve died a long time ago.”

“Initially, I thought since there were only 10 slots in the personal warehouse, it wouldn’t make a difference whether I bought one or not. I only found out later that I was too naive. Others can’t snatch your belongings once you put them in your personal warehouse. Plus, the NPCs won’t see anything on you. Therefore, they would assume that you’re a poor ghost and not someone worth robbing.”

“I actually wanted a personal warehouse, but I didn’t get the opportunity to buy one! Wasn’t I just a few seconds slower when I was choosing my career? The personal warehouse had already sold out when I opened the system mall! Later, I actually got a lot of rations in the instance. But it was really inconvenient to run around lugging all these things; I had to abandon some of it in the end. My heart still bleeds whenever I think about it.”

Amid the noise, a post titled “Crucial Tips for Customs Clearance” appeared out of nowhere.

(T/n: Advancing to the next round means a player successfully stayed in the instance for 10 days. Clearing the level (custom clearance) means they remained in the instance for 20 days.)

The host (the original poster) said the things he listed were all crucial materials players must purchase to avoid getting negative states. He also mentioned that after the 15th day, there’s fighting everywhere in the town and viruses and diseases will start spreading. Therefore, players should hide in the forest for the last 5-6 days. He advised that if one has sufficient resources, it is safer to stay in the forest than to hide in the town.

Su Han read the entire post and frowned when she saw remarks like “Food must be staple food” “Daily necessities must be soap or shower gel” “You must drink 500ml of water every day” and other crucial information. This is a competition. Only the first instance had ended. Contestants still have to participate in further rounds. Does this person have a hole in his brain? How can he frivolously share all this vital information with everyone?

Not long after the post was published, a tower of comments appeared under the post –

“Is it okay to ask how many days OP survived in the instance? Did you clear the level?”

“I’m curious, did the host personally experience this, or did you dream all this nonsense?”

“Damn! I knew I kept getting negative states; I just had no idea why. Turns out I bought the wrong items. I’m begging the boss to impart more wisdom. If this information is reliable, I will stock up the goods according to your instructions next time.”

The OP emerged after more than a dozen replies, “Everything I wrote is true. Although I, unfortunately, lost my life on the 8th day, one of my friends was a master and he successfully cleared the level. This is what he told me, so I guarantee that this information is credible.”

“S***” Su Han swore out loud when she read that.

The onlookers also started causing a ruckus –

“I actually wanted to thank the host for this information at first, but I didn’t expect it to be a case of presenting the Buddha with borrowed flowers. I want to know before the host published this post, did you get permission from your friend?”

Presenting the Buddha with borrowed flowers: To win favor or influence using sb else’s property.

“That expert must really be out of luck to have a friend like OP. There are already many pits in ‘Limitless Survival Game’; it’s not easy to sum up the experience. The expert told OP because they were friends. How could you freely give away the information to others just like that?… I don’t know what to say to OP…”

“I don’t understand what the host was thinking when he shared his post. Did you want everyone to praise you for being capable and kind? So shameless… this knowledge wasn’t yours to share; it has nothing to do with you. Why are you pretending to be a good person?”

“No wonder he died on the 8th day. There really is no medicine to cure stupidity. Many players are continuing to the next round, including his friend, but OP offhandedly disclosed important details … this is just cheating!”

After the post got hundreds of replies, the OP realized his mistake and hurriedly deleted the post. But that time, it was unfortunately too late. In just a few hours, the number of views for this post reached more than 100,000, and there were countless reposts.

“Scary.” Su Han took a bite of mutton and continued reading other posts.

Since this game was the world’s first VR survival game, it was very famous. Millions of people registered as players, this was why the official forum was bustling with activity at the moment. Every time she refreshed the page, more than 30 new posts popped up.

Su Han skimmed through the posts and found that there were very few mentions about ready-to-eat goods.  Most of the posts were discussing common topics or players venting dissatisfaction. Those who were smart enough to clear the level apparently knew the importance of “keeping your cards close to your chest” so they would never thoughtlessly reveal such valuable information.
