Wu Xiao's hex aura started to intensify as it turned a pale blue color! That meant his breathing technique had broken through the white and green level and he was 2 levels above Felix!

Felix was still in the white level as he didn't want to break through without having all of the techniques at the 9th stage, he only had his stamina breathing technique at the 9th stage and he still had the other two from the cat tribe to train, he also never asked the shaman for the vitality training technique but he guessed he should have now that he saw Wu Xiao's pale blue aura.

From the intensity of the aura, he could guess that the raven's aura refinement was around Catro's!

Catro was a captain level individual and his strength wasn't anything to laugh about and Felix didn't feel he reached the captain level yet despite all of his continuous training, he was still lacking in the hex breathing technique levels.

Felix became serious as he saw Wu Xiao's aura starting to reach the height of the trees, his power was constantly increasing and he didn't want to see him get any stronger at this point!

He disappeared as he used his stealth technique while making sure he targeted Wu Xiao properly, he shoots a few nail projectiles from his paws as he tried to stop him from powering up.

The aura was so strong that Felix's nail shots were melted by it and none found their target.

Felix frowned as he started to get closer to him, while his nail shots were melted the aura itself didn't have any defensive properties, it was just that Felix's attack was just that weak... it was basically a mosquito bite to experts at their level and it could only be useful for distractions.

It was a sad truth but Felix couldn't have any strong long-range attacks due to his lack of hex energy and he was only able to use his stealth technique and other battle techniques because there was hex energy in the surroundings around him.

Felix approached him but Wu Xiao knew the abilities of the cat tribe so he easily flew higher into the skies and glared at the forest, Goro was still beating his chest as he looked up at the flying Wu Xiao, his face was morphed into a scowl as he didn't know how to get to the flying raven.

Felix could propel himself with the trees towards him but the poison was already infesting his body so he quickly returned to Goro's shield before expelling it quickly.

He needed to move with Goro in the same direction if he wanted to move properly through the poison clouds, even though Goro's move had dispersed some of them along with Wu Xiao's aura they immediately came back with no fanfare.

The trees around them were always exerting poison in their surroundings so unless they destroyed them the poison would always come back.

Felix whispered into Goro's ears and the ape nodded lightly before he clapped his hands forcefully creating a shockwave that destroyed all of the surrounding trees into lumber parts.

"Now for part 2!"

Goro started to shout dispersing all of the surrounding poison and Felix jumped out of the barrier as he used Goro's head as a jumping pad to launch himself to Wu Xiao's height.

Wu Xiao chuckled seeing their cooperative abilities then used one of his abilities targeting Felix's soul.

Felix's face scrunched in pain as he activated his defensive ability he created when he fought the black bear tribesman which halved the damage that Wu Xiao's technique was doing on his soul.

He bore through the pain as he used his claw to slash at Wu Xiao's raven form!

Wu Xiao chuckled as he easily dodged Felix's attempt at slashing his form into ribbons before he taunted him while enhancing his voice with a confusing technique using his soul:

"Missed me, you thought that's all I'm able of as one of the strongest God's chosen on this planet?"

The raven started cawing as his form reverted to his human one but he was still flying through the use of hex energy now instead of his wings.

He looked at the falling Felix and caught him by the paw using his hand.

Then he blasted his whole body using a dark ball of hex energy with his other hand throwing him back to the ground and making him create a cat-sized hole in it.

Goro scratched his head as he took Felix out of the hole, his fur was singed and blood was trickling down from his mouth as his internal organs were shaken by that attack but not really injured, his body was rather sturdy and the dark ball of hex energy didn't do much to him besides stunning him for a very short while.

He shook his fur as he regained his consciousness from being stunned and glared at Wu Xiao who was looking at his party from above.

Felix narrowed his eyes as he glanced in Bizkier Lindo and Altraeimo's direction but they were preoccupied with their own fights as the other 3 ravens started to harass them using their own special soul techniques.

Only he and Goro were free to fight Wu Xiao.

Goro and Felix looked at each other for a few brief seconds before Goro picked Felix up and threw him to Wu Xiao at such a speed that even Wu Xiao couldn't dodge!

Wu Xiao's eyes bulged out as he looked at his chest and seeing Felix clutching his trench coat with his paws, he had a small smirk on his face that indicated that a world of pain would descend on Wu Xiao's head!

Wu Xiao frowned as he controlled his hex energy in a pattern creating a snake of energy that went through his chest to Felix who was clutching his clothes directly nailing him through the stomach.. only for the snake to not be able to enter or break Felix's defenses.

Felix's face turned into a frown as he liberated one paw and his claws started turning dark as the poisonous hex energy in the air entered them, he slashed directly into his chest inserting the poison into Wu Xiao's bloodstream!

Wu Xiao started to foam at the mouth as the poison dosage he took was quite big, his face started to turn a shade of purple but he immediately vomited the poison out along with some dark blood onto Felix's face blinding him then using his head to give him a headbutt and making him unable to hold onto his clothes anymore as they were ripped from the force of the headbutt.

Wu Xiao frowned as he whistled indicating that they should retreat as he didn't prepare himself fully for such a fight, even though his hex potential was at his highest he still needed time to activate the skill that was bestowed upon him by his God.

The other 3 ravens immediately flew away following Wu Xiao who morphed into his original form and disappeared into the horizon leaving Felix's team alone.

Felix frowned as he felt that his ribs were bruised, that snake of energy couldn't pierce through his skin and muscles but his bones were still a little bit injured, his insides were strong but his bones weren't at their peak as he hadn't eaten any being that had specifically strong bones... maybe if he ate some elephants their tusks would be useful at strengthening his bones.

He glanced at Bizkier which made him shudder for reasons that he wasn't sure of before he shook his head and said:

"It seems that we have won this fight but did we win this event? The fox team should have lost by now, the kangaroo team must be god knows where and we have beaten the raven team into retreat... I wish those shamans would have actually told us what we are supposed to do..."

Felix coughed as he looked at the clearing they created, there were no more trees around them for around 900 meters even the roots were destroyed by Goro's shockwave attack.

Suddenly in the sky the objective of the event appeared, it seemed the shamans finally decided that they got bored of watching them fight like headless flies and gave them an sure objective.

In the sky in a deep green color appeared:

"The rules are very simple, the one who gets to the middle of the forest and activates the hex energy formation there wins, also if your opponents die or leave the forest you also win!"

Bizkier frowned as he looked at the sky and then towards the forest, they were around the middle but he couldn't feel the existence of any such formation and even further inside the poison intensified to a degree that even Goro might not be able to withstand.

Felix looked at Goro and asked him if he could go further into the forest, Goro smiled as he returned to his human form and suddenly his stomach started growling, saliva dripped from his mouth as he looked towards the sky and muttered:

"My bananas."
