The ape's ability to control hex energy was rather refined and it seemed it didn't take him much effort to create a perfectly round shield that protected everyone inside it.

Bizkier touched the shield with his hands and then with his trunk which was more sensitive to hex movements and his eyes widened in surprise as he whispered towards Felix and the others:

"His control of hex ability is beyond perfect! I cannot see any mistakes in the barrier, it's pretty much as perfect as it can get!"

The ape blushed as he understood that he was being praised and he continued further into the woods at high speeds as he used his thick arms to grab onto the thicker trees to move faster, his hands were protected by the barrier so the poison coming from the trees didn't affect him even though he was having direct contact with them.

Bizkier turned towards Felix as he transmitted a message to him using his soul instead of saying anything:

"It seems we have hit the jackpot, you had a great plan befriending this ape! There is also one team in minus now that the Sparron continent had been pretty much eliminated, from what we saw the captain of that team must be running with her tails between her legs to leave the forest."

Felix gave back an affirmative response as he watched the forest path getting wider the further they went in, the poison around them became visible as they started to travel through purple clouds that impaired their vision but somehow the ape could still see through them as he easily maneuvered itself around the trees.

The barrier didn't pop nor sizzle as it took no damage from the surrounding poison, this impressed the 4 of them even more.

Altraeimo eyes were scanning the ape up and down as this was his first time being this close with such a strong land animal.

Felix chatted with Goro from time to time as he didn't want him to get bored, as he was a child even though he was rather appreciative of the food they gave him he would also get bored pretty fast and he might not want to go in further.

As the ape helped them withstand the poison the ravens were flying above the poison clouds while they chatted.

"Boss is really smart letting the child of the ape chief to rampage as it wants down there!"

"Indeed boss is a genius!"

The boss of the ravens was called Wu Xiao and he was the one who 'tested' Felix when all of the continents participants gathered.

Wu Xiao didn't like being bootlicked as he ignored the compliments of his fellow ravens, his purple raven eyes were trained on the forest trees as they shook and moved due to the weight of the ape swinging around.

He frowned as he easily identified the culprit who could do this and asked himself:

"Did he finish all of them already? He is still a child so his stamina shouldn't be very great even though his strength is immense..."

His eyes returned to his 3 companions as he told them:

"We shall go down and see what's up with Goro, we have left him behind to make things easier for us when we will have to ambush the remaining forces but it seems he has finished a little bit too quickly, after all, that cat must be a God's chosen along with the Elephant and the Kangaroo and that foolish woman I took one life from would have surely teamed up against him... so they fight should have been still ongoing at this point."

The other three found their leader's words to be reasonable so they decided to follow him down in the forest.

The poison was rather strong so even the ravens had to pool their hex energy together into their leader to create a barrier that would be able to withstand the strong poison.

They went further inside the forest as they suddenly found the ape who was quickly moving through the trees with Felix and the others on his shoulders.

Wu Xiao eyes widened as he thought for a bit and realized what happened:

"We still have his reserve food right?"

One of his three cronies flew near him and nodded.

"Very good we shall take him back and annihilate the Tarot continent team as well!"

The 4 ravens flew quickly as they appeared in front of the ape who suddenly stopped and dropped to the forest floor, his eyes were widened as he smiled and patted Felix's head as he said:

"My friends found me!"

Felix and the others realized that they have just found themselves in the worst situation, hopefully, the ape would stick by his words and help them till the end.

Wu Xiao returned to his human form as his purple eyes targeted Goro's, he held his hand as his cronies dropped a small ring into it, a sudden influx of hex energy entered the ring before it showed an image of mountains of bananas!

Goro started salivating as he put his hand near the image only for his hands to through it, Goro became rather sad as he looked at Felix and the others before looking at Wu Xiao and asked:

"Where are the bananas?"

Wu Xiao chuckled as he told him slowly:

"All you have to do is throw those 4 people off your shoulders and you will get your bananas."

Even as a child the ape saw through Wu Xiao's words, he meant he wanted him to abandon his friends here!

Actually, his bond with the ravens was almost at the same level as the one he had with Felix's team, they only knew each other for a short time as his father had wanted him to participate in this battle due to personal reasons, and his food was all given to the ravens for them to store it as Goro wasn't allowed to have the food with him or he would eat all of it and then go hibernating for a few months.

Apes didn't normally hibernate but Goro was still in his infant years and sleeping would help his soul develop at a higher speed.

Goro looked at the bananas before his gaze moved to Felix and the others and he let them go to the ground but they were still in his barrier thus they were protected and technically speaking not on his shoulders anymore.

Goro's eyes sparkled as he put his big hands forward and asked for the bananas.

Wu Xiao's eyes darkened as he saw his actions and shook his head as the image of bananas disappeared and he transformed into his raven form as he was ready to fly away.

Goro growled as he saw him trying to fly away and his big palms immediately swept towards him only for him to somehow lose his steady balance and he almost fell to his knees, he clutched his head as he glared at Wu Xiao and howled!

Felix frowned as he realized that Wu Xiao was somehow attacking Goro's soul after he found out that he didn't want to do as he said, it seemed he understood that their relationship was quite shallow to the point that Goro would betray him over a bunch of strangers that gave him food which made him quite mad.

Wu Xiao glared at the half kneeling ape on the ground as the barrier surrounding him and Felix started to tremble due to the soul interference.

While the ape wouldn't be injured from the poison by much the others might even melt in the environment they were currently in!

Felix could feel the pain of the ape as he glared at Wu Xiao and attacked with his own soul energy!

His way of attack resembled his combat breathing technique as a silver of soul energy that looked like a claw slashed the connection between Wu Xiao's soul and Goro's.

Wu Xiao's eyes narrowed as he concealed the blood that wanted to drip from his nose and frowned as he looked directly into Felix's eyes sending an immense amount of soul waves into his mindscape!

Now that his target changed Goro got up from the ground as his expression changed from time to time before he glared at Wu Xiao and howled as he started beating his chest, his fur started to encompassed his body as it turned ad deeply red color from the normal black, his whole face changed along with his arms and feet as he returned to his primal form!

"OOOH OOOH AHHHHH!"

He continued beating his chest as the barrier around him remained unmoved but a shockwave came from his mouth as the waves started to repel the poison around them!

Goro was truly mad after being attacked by someone he called once a friend and he wanted to settle the score with him!

Wu Xiao frowned as he battled with Felix with their soul willpower, he didn't know why but Felix's defenses were extremely strong, his attack was like tossing a pebble into an ocean and now he couldn't extricate himself from him!

Felix eyes cleared up as he glanced at Wu Xiao and sneered as his expression told him:

"Is this all you got?"

Wu Xiao became even angrier as he started to finally use his true strength!
