Chapter 128: Ichor Hon’s Ten Strikes (3)

What seemed to be a lengthy series of events actually took place in the blink of an eye. From Ichor Hon disappearing, to Drako Yau blocking the attack and throwing Ichor Hon to the ground, then to Drako Yau palm fisting Ichor Hon in the chest; everything took place in less than five seconds.

Even Ichor Hon was stunned by all those strikes. Faced against the palm strike, he was suddenly at a loss for what to do. It wasn’t Drako Yau’s concern though as he struck his palm downwards.

The strike carried so much force that it made Ichor Hon grunt while blood seeped out of his mouth. After striking, Drako Yau even mounted onto him and held him to the ground by strangling his legs, followed by another punch.

Ichor Hon finally recovered from his daze and roared, ‘You dare!’

His voice was as loud as thunder, making Drako Yau’s ultra-sensitive ears ring and buzz while stirring up the bloody mist throughout the pit.

Yet Drako Yau still threw his punch. He absolutely couldn’t let go at this moment; once Ichor Hon took a breather, his head would end up rolling on the ground the next moment.

Memories of his years in the mountains emerged in Drako Yau’s mind as his gaze turned ferocious.

Going at it with our lives on the line, wasn’t it? I’ll do just that!

‘Hahhh!!!’ Drako Yau also growled and hammered his fist downwards.

Unable to hold back anymore, Ichor Hon coughed up a gush of blood and even spewed tiny crimson chunks onto Drako Yau’s fiery mask. Those were fragments of his organs; Drako Yau generated a lot of force behind the palm strike and punch using Dragon Seeker techniques, injuring his insides.

Dragon Seeker had enigmatic methods of generating power which could generate explosive forces even at close range. It originated from a technique called One Inch Punch from Wing Chun, an ancient martial art.

One Inch Punch was a technique which generated explosive power even in extremely close ranges. Even when just a single inch apart from the enemy, one could still throw a powerful attack through coordinating his arms and shoulders.

Although Drako Yau’s mask was showered in blood and gory bits, he didn’t go easy on Ichor Hon and readied another palm strike, this time aiming at Ichor Hon’s slightly pale face.

Somewhat terrified, Ichor Hon tried to wrench free his sword-wielding right arm, but Drako Yau’s left arm tied tightly onto it like a thick metal cable. Drako Yau also dug his fingers into Ichor Hon’s right shoulder with so much force that they slightly punctured the skin surface, as if he wanted to claw onto Ichor Hon’s bones.

Golden Snake Thread Entanglement—it was an ancient technique integrated into Dragon Seeker. With arms akin to a boneless golden snake, entangle like a silky thread.

‘AHHH!’

Caught in dire straits, even Ichor Hon was forced to make a desperate move. He opened his mouth and spewed out a mouthful of blood. The blood suddenly clumped together to form a blade and shot towards Drako Yau!

Drako Yau, now with enhanced vision, instinctively turned his head aside. Immediately after he caught a glimpse of the blood blade, it had already flown past him into the air. It sliced past his Mask of the Hidden Dragon, though it didn’t leave behind any scratches.

Still, Drako Yau’s hand which was about to strike Ichor Hon lost all fingers but the thumb. The four fingers had been chopped off by the blade of blood and fell to the ground, blood gushing out of the wounds like a fountain.

Pain from the fingers reached straight to the mind. Having lost four fingers at once, even Drako Yau couldn’t endure the excruciating pain and subconsciously let go of Ichor Hon’s arm.

Ichor Hon felt the pressure on his right arm loosening. He immediately shrugged off Drako Yau’s arm and vanished afterwards.

Drako Yau lay on the ground with his arms and legs spread out while blood continued to surge out from his cut fingers. However, he wasn’t in a position to worry about it, and he had also returned from his second state to his normal state.

From the moment Ichor Hon broke free, Drako Yau was no longer in any shape to fight.

Ichor Hon, with a vigilant look, reappeared around two metres away from Drako Yau. Even a person of his calibre was surprised by Drako Yau’s crazy efforts.

‘Kid, you’re good. You’re good… ’ Ichor Hon coughed a few times with a gloomy look. ‘I even had to use my innate sword energy to deal with you.’

It took a whole year for Ichor Hon to form a shot of innate sword energy, and he could only store one shot in his dantin at a time; it would injure him if he stored anymore within his body. It could be called his trump card.

Ichor Hon glared at Drako Yau coldly as he radiated intense killing intent. He actually had to use such a precious shot of innate sword energy on Drako Yau who appeared to be no stronger than an ant.

The surrounding blood mist started moving. As if blown by an invisible wind, the mist sped up and turned into a tornado which quickly rushed into Ichor Hon’s sword. The pit was starting to clear up, but there wasn’t anyone on the spectator stands to watch Ichor Hon and Drako Yau who were in the pit.

‘Now, you can die.’ Ichor Hon lifted his katana and shot Drako Yau a chilly stare.

‘Say…’ Drako Yau said in a hoarse voice.

Ichor Hon’s hand trembled slightly. ‘What are you trying to say?’

Drako Yau continued, ‘Say… Sir Hon, are you a person who keeps his words?’

Ichor Hon snickered and said, ‘Of course, who do you think I, Ichor Hon, am? Of course I keep my word. Then you can now die!’

‘Then!’ Drako Yau almost shouted. ‘Sir, based on the ten-strike promise, I won.’

‘What?’ Ichor Hon was startled as his complexion took a turn for the worse. ‘How did you count ten strikes? It was clearly nine!’

‘Spewing blood at me is also a strike! It’s a mental attack! DId you think getting splattered in blood feels good? It was so gross that I almost loosened my hand…’

When his life was on the line, even Drako Yau had to act shamelessly.

Enraged, Ichor Hon yelled, ‘That’s pure sophistry!’

‘It’s up to you. If you really wish to kill me, I’ll accept my fate.’

‘You…’ Ichor Hon’s face changed rapidly, sometimes reddened, sometimes pale, as if he could switch between different faces.

Meanwhile, Drako Yau was fully drenched in cold sweat. This was his final chance—there wasn’t anything he could do even if Ichor Hon killed him. His quest was to defeat Ichor Hon while the ten strike deal was just a verbal promise, so the system couldn’t protect him.

‘Argh!’ Ichor Hon howled and swung his katana.

A buzz resounded throughout the pit, followed by an ear-deafening boom.

Drako Yau looked at the ceiling which already had a terrible cut on it. Now cut apart into two pieces from the centre, the thousand-metre-long ceiling revealed an azure sky. He let out a smile at the sight.

Ichor Hon’s stone-cold voice could be heard. ‘I lost! Heal him quickly!’

The moment Ichor Hon admitted defeat, a foggy whiteness shrouded the entire place. A warm and gentle force cradled Drako Yau, who lost consciousness momentarily and couldn’t hear the system’s voice.
