So where was I?

Oh yes, I was talking about how my stats are all over the place and I shouldn't do everything.

I was about to look at my guild to know what we're missing, and I ended up deciding to recruit.

How sidetracked can I get?

I am not even playing in sleep mode, I am literally offline!

So, of the four types of this game, let me focus on one.

The major specialization of our guild of course is DPS, so looking at what we're lacking might be the best choice.

With our limited numbers and our habits of going into the PvP Arena every day, I don't doubt the information networks of the major guilds regularly get wind of our statuses.

If they're going to look for weaknesses to strike at us, they're going to look at our DPS first.

So what do we have?

Pinky is a burst-type DPS.

Soul deals consistent damages for the most part, with a lot of fast skills with few restrictions.

Dartagnan is more of the consistent damages kind, just like Soul, but has one burst type skill.

For the need of that exercise, RedFairy, my student, can be ignored.

So what do we lack?

Well, even averaging with my own sporadic damages, we actually don't lack much damages, as far as I can tell.

But if I use my Wisdom stat to analyze this...

Oh!

That's only if we can hit consistently!

I don't know how it turned like that, but we only deal damages through direct hits. PinkyKitty's Fire is the only exception that confirms the rule. We lack Damages Over Time.

In the same way, we lack Area Of Effect skills, and Pinky's Explosion is this time's exception.

It's something we probably all ignored for our own reasons originally, that then ended up being overlooked by the whole group.

As to how it got overlooked, I have my own guess as to that: we're too good!

Just like an FPS player who is just too used to one tapping everyone in the head could never notice that their weapon of choice just doesn't deal enough damage outside of the head, we were so focused on our own established habits that we forgot that sometimes, things don't go as well as you'd want.

That one critical round in a major tournament in which that FPS player would fail to one tap his opponent would be the equivalent of an unfavorable match-up at some point in the Third Guild War.

I talk a lot about this guild war, but it's still a bit far away, with how things are going, we might actually fail to maintain our undefeated standing in the PvP arena before that.

Anyway, beyond DOT and AOE, we also lack indirect damages, and other kinds of ranged damages.

The use of indirect damages can't be underestimated.

In a way, while it was restrictive, WinterLord's use of Revenge was an eye-opener to me as to the importance of the indirect type of damages: it just can't be avoided or countered, only canceled.

So my conclusion as to DPS is:

-DOT

-Indirect

-Long-range

Now that this is dealt with, it is time to think about our second category, which is CC. What do we lack?

That is probably the easiest to guess, as I can know without the help of my Wisdom that we definitely miss ways to cancel skills.

I am the only one to have at least a 100% CC skill in our guild, and I also lack a way to cancel non-Interruption Super Sensitive skills.

Damaging enough to cancel is nice and all, but it is too slow and restrictive. Specialized CC skills are just faster than any ranged attacks, it's just how the game is balanced, which means I need to focus on this.

Now that I think about it, it reminds me that I had seen a problem with the CC skills we have when thinking last time.

We just don't have that many restrictions.

My student RedFairy does have the Chains of his Dark Knight skill tree, but he doesn't count as a member of the guild, and I don't intend to have him join too.

Now that we have that reputation, I must only recruit incredible individuals in my guild. It's just a matter of course as far as I'm concerned that such individuals would also be tryharders in the first place, and would be more attached to their in-game life, and wouldn't leak the full name of the guild.

It is one of the biggest mysteries of the game community, and it must stay as such.

Anyway, getting back to CC, we are indeed already good in most areas beyond those explored.

After all, when it comes to pushing our opponents around, no one is better than us!

-DOT

-AOE

-Indirect

-Long-range

-Skill cancel

-Restrictive CC

With that, my mental list of things I need increased yet again, and it's close to reaching a size I will need to note it down at.

<The player synchronized a stat by a special action <Comprehension>>

Uh?

When did synchronized stats become just like cucumbers at a supermarket? What kind of reality-breaking cheat is just so readily available to the user?

Am I selling a kidney for that? Did they make an exception when I signed up, and they put more pages in the Terms of Service than the others?

Joke aside, and I hope it ends up being a joke, I didn't expect that working my memory would somehow count toward comprehension. So maybe the timing is slightly off, and it's related to me trying to understand my problems, rather than the process of memorizing itself. Who knows if there might be a small delay in such an exceptionally law-breaking system?

Anyway, now that I also have my comprehension stat, I might be able to more easily dive into the other areas of our team.
