249. You Got That Backwards!

Translator: Bryan

A fierce look appeared on Wei Qing’s face as he lifted his eyes and said, “Me being unreasonable? How could you forget what he did to you so soon? I can’t believe you’re trying so hard to defend him!”

Yan Chuyang froze.

Wei Qing stood up from the sofa and, staring at Yan Chuyang unblinkingly, said, “It’s only been two months, but it seems you’ve completely forgotten that he forced himself on top of you, bullied you, and his mother went to the hospital to humiliate you, and she even hired a bunch of thugs who gave you a beating. Have you any idea how badly my heart ached when I saw the dagger sticking in your back?

“I had an urge to tear those people to pieces to avenge you!

“When I found out that Song Huaiqi was responsible for all that, I wanted to kill him! Now I’m just trying to have him suffer some loss of money, and yet you find it unacceptable. Is he really that important to you?!”

Yan Chuyang’s heart lurched twice at Wei Qing’s yell. He hurriedly said, “No. No matter how important he is, you’ll always be more important to me than he is.”

“Huh,” Wei Qing sneered, “Stop lying, Yan Chuyang. Your heart ached for him, but you never thought of me! Have you any idea how miserable I feel every time I see the scar on your back? I don’t know how I survived the past two months!

“I hate myself for not having been able to rescue you when you needed me, and for being too careless to keep a close eye on you! I’ve been living in self-criticism and resentment for two months. It’ll kill me unless I help you get your revenge!”

Yan Chuyang was glued to the spot, looking at the distress in Wei Qing’s eyes, guilt flooding over him.

Yan Chuyang wondered if he was wrong.

He had always been considering whether he had failed anybody, but he had forgotten that Wei Qing’s heart would ache if he got hurt.

Yan Chuyang thought, “He’s right. If I see Wei Qing receive a stab, I would probably go crazy as well, and I would resort to every means possible to take revenge.”

What right did he have to tell Wei Qing what he should or should not do?

“I’m sorry.” Tears in eyes, Yan Chuyang leaned over to Wei Qing, put his arms around Wei Qing’s lean waist and burrowed his face into Wei Qing’s chest. “Wei Qing, I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. I’ve been so selfish. I’m really sorry.”

Wei Qing pushed him away, his eyes sulky.

Yan Chuyang hurriedly flung his arms around Wei Qing again.

Wei Qing clenched his teeth and tried to break free from Yan Chuyang’s restraint. “Let go of me!”

“No!” Yan Chuyang tightened his embrace into a squeeze. “You’ll dump me if I let go of you…”

“Yan Chuyang! You… Hmm.”

Wei Qing’s eyes widened instantly.

Yan Chuyang stood on tiptoe and tried his best to pry Wei Qing’s lips open with his tongue, his hands undoing Wei Qing’s thin shirt anxiously.

Wei Qing’s head swam. This was the first time Yan Chuyang had done such a bold thing.

Having perceived that Yan Chuyang was about to pull his shirt off, Wei Qing gave a shudder, promptly grabbed Yan Chuyang’s wrist and wheezed, “Stop it! What do you think you’re doing?!”

Gripping Wei Qing’s collar, his eyes alarmingly bright, Yan Chuyang said huskily, “I want you.”

Wei Qing shivered with shock. “You…You…You got that backwards!”

“What?”

“I want you!”

Yan Chuyang was confused. “Is there a difference?”

“A huge one!”

Yan Chuyang pondered for a moment before he shook his head in bemusement and then pressed his lips onto Wei Qing’s and mumbled, “I don’t care. I want you…”

Wei Qing was aroused by his kiss, his heart quivering.

Eventually he clenched his teeth, wrapped his arms around Yan Chuyang’s waist and scooped him up.

Yan Chuyang hurriedly twined his arms around Wei Qing’s neck. Though there was a warm blush over his face and ears, he still stubbornly murmured, “I want you, Wei Qing. I want you now…”

Wei Qing didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, but his anger had disappeared without a trace because of Yan Chuyang’s actions.

Wei Qing lowered his head, rubbed his face against the tip of Yan Chuyang’s nose and said in a faintly hoarse voice, “I’m going to say this one more time. It’s me wanting you.”

Yan Chuyang clicked his tongue. “It’s the same.”

“It’s different.”

“Different how?”

“You’ll know soon enough.”

With that Wei Qing carried him into the bedroom.

Summer breezes blew past the window as the twittering of birds came through it. Inside the house, the air was heavy with hormone.

The two of them made out from something after twelve o’clock until five o’clock in the afternoon.

Having been engaged in lovemaking the whole afternoon, Yan Chuyang tired himself out and groggily fell asleep.

Wei Qing carried him into the bathroom, bathed him and then carried him to the bed.

He had originally wanted to go straight to the office after cleaning himself up. He had an important meeting tonight.

But after helping Yan Chuyang change into his pajamas, Wei Qing looked at Yan Chuyang’s delicate-skinned face and the longer he gazed at Yan Chuyang, the deeper his fondness of him. Eventually Wei Qing called his assistant and instructed his assistant to handle the meeting for him. Wei Qing then lay down on the bed, pulled the fragrant Yan Chuyang into his embrace and relievedly fell asleep.

He didn’t wake up until 9 p.m.

It was Wei Qing who woke first. He was woken up by the rumble from Yan Chuyang’s stomach.

The clock on the wall was ticking away. Wei Qing was startled at the sight of the darkness in the room. Frowning, he turned on the table lamp.

The warm orange light brightened the bedroom.

Wei Qing glanced at his wristwatch and saw that it was 9 o’clock in the evening. They had slept for four hours.

Yan Chuyang’s stomach rumbled again.

Wei Qing chuckled with a snort, affectionately swiveled his head around and glanced at the face of Yan Chuyang who was sleeping in his arms, not guarded with anybody.

“Idiot.” Wei Qing shook his head, rubbed his rough thumb against the tip of Yan Chuyang’s nose and murmured, “You think of food even when sleeping.”

His sweet dream interrupted, Yan Chuyang frowned in displeasure and attempted to roll over.

“Hey, hey, stop stirring.” Wei Qing gripped Yan Chuyang’s shoulders and hugged him tight. “I’m not going to disturb you again. Just stay here.”

Yan Chuyang grunted as if he understood Wei Qing’s words. He rubbed his face against Wei Qing’s arm and then burrowed it deeper into Wei Qing’s chest.

Wei Qing smiled and stared vacantly at Yan Chuyang’s cheek.
