248. But That’s Everything to Him

Yan Chuyang went home by bus. When he got home, Wei Qing was still at work.

Yan Chuyang awaited him on the sofa.

When Wei Qing was back, he saw Yan Chuyang sitting on the sofa, not in a good mood.

“But it isn’t his fault. Someone is sabotaging it!”

Wei Qing didn’t answer immediately, then thought about something else, “How do you know about this?”

“He came to my school this morning,” Yan Chuyang signed as he began to recall, “Wan Feng was prosecuted for tax evasion. He was ordered to pay the rest of the tax, but was in short of money, so he came and asked me for help. ”

Wei Qing sneered, “Bold of him to ask you!”

“He was at an impasse!” Yan Chuyang raised his voice and gazed at Wei Qing, “Wei Qing, I am not going to beat around the bush here. I know it has something to do with you. I do not want to get involved in whatever happening between you guys. But now it is time to stop this cruel ‘prank’ of yours! Song Huaiqi can’t even pay for the four million yuan of tax. Can you at least show some mercy?”

“Why should I stop it now?” Wei Qing gently shook the glass, sending ripples across the water inside. “I’m a businessman, not a philanthropist. If his company is in my way, why can’t I remove it out of the way? Besides, I follow all the legal procedures.”

“But bankrupting his company won’t benefit yours! ” yelled Yan Chuyang. “I don’t care about losing money,” Wei Qing said coldly, “I can make his company a warehouse or whatever I want to make. Money means nothing compared to the satisfaction of watching him suffer!”

“But Wanfeng means everything to Senior!” Yan Chuyang stood up from the sofa and stared at Wei Qing in disbelief. “Wei Qing, how can you be so unreasonable?”
