Chapter 296: Residence Building

Translator: LiamHW

At the moment Wu Dahu caught the sight of the scenery as well, he got the same feeling as the man had. It was lucky that Song Qinghan’s persistence on picking this land indeed resulted in a good consequence. After all, if it was all his own decision, probably he would have picked a one with bigger space considering that it was a big family despite whether it was far away from water or not.

However, the land without a pond nearby was totally a far cry from a land with one aside.

The man decided to waste no more time after the exclaiming, and he took out the tool he brought on his back, started to select the clay carefully on the ground and mix the clay with the easy-to-get water from the pond, and produced the brick that was required to construct the residence.

If he was to construct his own house, he would have used simple abodes to build. But since it fell to him to help Wu Dahu’s family to build one, he had to attach importance to it. After all, Wu Dahu represented the whole dignity of Qingmu people.

That’s true! The crowd had spontaneously formed their own faction secretly. Even though it wasn’t put on the stage yet, the estrangement would in the end gradually showed up between the factions as the time passed.

It was like those who never gossiped when they were busy started to be gossipy as soon as they got nothing to do and couldn’t help but talk about other’s life. They could even be that gossipy even though they were not familiar with the other party.

Noticing that all the rest of the people were busy preparing the materials, Song Qinghan, who was bored enough standing, got Wu Dahu informed about something and then walked aside.

He was curious, however, about their future neighbors.

Half an hour later when he was walking on the road, a group of people rushed over suddenly and roared, “Who the heck brought you here, get out now!”

Song Qinghan startled, with his face full of shock.

Was it because he met not that many Empire Mu people? Why did they become so vicious when they were alone by themselves?

Yet though he was quite confused with a bit anger in mind, he still delivered a polite smile while explaining gently, “I will be living next to you in the future, and I am coming out for a walk and hopefully will be greeting with the future neighbors. I hope you will forgive me if I ever bother you.”

“Oh, so you are the husband of the Qingmu commander? Well, he looks rather ordinary anyway. And moreover, you should have contributed a lot behind his back to help earn the land by values right?”

One among the men mocked coldly and it was totally beyond Song Qinghan’s expectations.

He frowned tight and then took a few steps back after perceiving the hostility of the men, and then answered calmly, “What contribution do you guys mean? Do you guys already know that I am a doctor?”

Those men exchanged their glances in a teasing way after hearing Song Qinghan’s explanation, they laughed big as if they had just heard a big joke, “A doctor? That kind of doctor who only treats people with personal issues? No wonder that our master would select you, why don’t you have a check on us? We are so curious about how you treat people anyway…”

Now Song Qinghan believed that these men were really vicious enough since being polite wasn’t a way to obtain the mutual respect. He then turned around directly and walked hurriedly towards the land his family owned.

However, those men seemed to be unwilling to let him go so easily, they followed in behind quickly.

Song Qinghan was right now angry and remorseful. He was mad at that those men walked over someone, even a femina man in pregnancy, with no virtue at all, and was remorseful that he shouldn’t leave his group alone so far away only to satisfy his curiosity.

Well, it seemed that he had already forgotten the evilness in the world since he had been protected all along the way.

The sound of the footsteps behind him was getting closer and closer, making Song Qinghan tense, and then he started trotting. Not long as he could see Wu Dahu and the rest of the people in sight, he heaved a sigh of great relief with his shoulder loosened.

However, those men were still being vicious themsevles and one of them reached out suddenly to grab Song Qinghan’s arms. And after that, they encircled him in the center, glancing at him with a bad intention wretchedly.

Wu Dahu could feel something in his heart as he raised his head to the direction where Song Qinghan left. In distance, even though he failed to see Song Qinghan in sight while Song Qinghan was currently surrounded by those men, he found something was wrong and hurriedly rushed over with the rest of the people.

The leader among the vicious men felt himself was dragged by a sudden strength behind him as he was about to raised Song Qinghan’s chin, and then he was thrown to the ground all of a sudden.

The rest of the vicious men lifted their tools in hands when they found that Wu Dahu came beyond their expectations, and all pounced on Wu Dahu fierecely.

They might not know Song Qinghan, but could definitely recognize Wu Dahu at the first glance. After all, Muhammad had once introduced Wu Dahu solemnly to the folks yesterday when the Qingmu people just arrived, and it would be hard for them to forget that face.

But what was the point for that though? They were Empire Mu people anyway, and some of them were in fact barbarian-rooted and born with a natural hatred to Qingmu people. They would, even though knowing that they would be punished, do whatever vicious to Qingmu people and couldn’t help doing so.

Besides, they had observed the disparity between the scale of these two groups and found that they might possess an advantage and, probably they were able to escape the punishment if they could murder the people in the know.

Wu Dahu figured out their evil intentions from their fierce movements and attacks. With his eyes sharpened, he gave no more mercy and soon all those vicious men were subdued in just several movements.

Those men hadn’t yet reacted but the next moment they were struggling bitterly on the ground, they were in a great pain as if all their organs were shattered and smashed.

They then struggled to raise their head to glare at Wu Dahu, and the leader among said with a wrathful expression on face, “You dare beat on us like that! Well done, what a show of bullying others relying on the power, ha!”

Song Qinghan regained his calmness at the moment Wu Dahu showed up, but the ungrateful words from that man incurred his deepest anger, and he said without showing further gentleness, “You are to blame since you provoke the fight! Moreover, you should have been respectful if you really think that we are valued. If we really dare bully you relying on the power, you should have been punished right now!”

The complaints stuffed the men’s mouths making them all speechless, and obviously they knew that they themselves provoked the fight using lame arguments and perverted logic.

Yet on the other side, Wu Dahu did not intend to let these men go so easily. He searched around and finally found a rope and then tied them all up together. After he got the rope tight with a knot, he delivered the end of the rope to Lusen, and asked Lusen and Hualian to seek reason by visiting the in-charge person in the Empire Mu base camp.

Since there was the first to provoke the disharmony, there would be the second to follow in a row. And it was totally out of Song Qinghan’s luck to escape from their demon’s claws, but what if he failed to run away from their bully? And if Wu Dahu did not raise his head to take a look, the stuff happened just then wouldn’t have been tackled so easily.

Wu Dahu sank into a deeper sorrow at the moment he realized that those men showed even no mercy at a pregnant femina man.

As for visiting the in-charge person himself to seek the reason, he would think that it was unnecessary to do so. Because if he really made that real, it would be much more like he was abusing his power to bully.

Besides, he would really wish to observe the others’ attitude on them without the restriction of Muhammad, and this incident would be the good chance to probe the answer.

If these vicious men did not receive the punishment or at least a severe warn, then it could be a proof that the majority of the residents was striking up a discordant tune against him…

Song Qinghan saw through Wu Dahu’s thoughts, and he reached out to pat Wu Dahu on the shoulder, while comforting, “I’m fine, and I won’t go out alone anymore. Besides, the folks’ attitude doesn’t represent the one of their master.”

It turned out, as Song Qinghan could figure out now, there was no leader among these men at all. Probably they were just some subordinates from a noble and were sent to help construct the noble’s residence.
