251. Chapter 251: Don’t Harm Little Shitou!

Song Qinghan was not surprised at all in the face of such a result. After all, Mork was a politician instead of a warmhearted and amiable philanthropist, while weighing the trade-off and bringing a reconciliation was what he was good at doing. Moreover, he was already heartless enough even to Utan who possessed a blood tie with him, it would be impossible for him to acquire a good treat.

He rose suddenly carrying Little Shitou in arms, and uttered peacefully, “I will go check Wu Dahu first, and after that I will go after you and rescue whom you want me to save.”

Mork did not respond, while Song Qinghan viewed the silence as a tacit permission. Without further hesitation, he turned around and left.

The one who was responsible for leading the way today had been changed. So he found it was kind of inconvenient to ask something private, while not knowing whether such an arrangement was on purpose or not.

After he finally arrived at the tent where Wu Dahu stayed. The presence of the man who was taking Wu Dahu’s pulse brought him an ease and he heaved a slight sigh with relieve.

For his luck, at least those who stood by there were all he acquainted.

The pulse-taking man realized the presence of Song Qinghan, so he rose from the stool, and came to congratulate respectfully, “Your Excellency, his pulse has been steadier. He might wake up tomorrow if things go smoothly.”

Song Qinghan nodded as a response, showing his satisfaction toward the result.

And he seemed to recall something in mind before he left, and then he whispered, “Are you quite familiar with the Infanta Utan here? Like what’s his personality? I don’t need any detailed information but rough description would be fine.”

Even though the man was quite hesitant, he still opened his mouth trying to answer Song Qinghan’s question under the awe-inspiring temperament of his, “Infanta Utan lost his parents in his childhood, and he was raised by our Master- His Highness. Even though he is a femina man, he never pales into insignificance when pitting against the real masculine men. He indulges himself in martial practices every single day. I am not sure how to describe his exact personality, but how he treats us subordinates is neither good nor bad…”

Noticing that the man was peeking at him tentatively while stating, Song Qinghan came to answer with an extreme calm face, “Anything else? Like has he once been engaged to someone? Or what kind of men he will definitely have crush on?”

It was kind of a cunning question, so the man only answered after a long while of dithering, “It… It seems that he had never been engaged to someone because Infanta Utan once said that he would rather spend the rest of his life on the back of horse. As for the man thing, I really have no idea about that…”

After answering Song Qinghan’s question, the man raised his head tentatively, and then came to ask meticulously, “Your Excellency… Were you bullied by Infanta Utan?”

Song Qinghan’s mind was still in turmoil with bunch of messy things. But being asked by such a question, he came back to his senses immediately, and then raised his eyebrows, answering, “Why are you asking so? Is he someone who loves to bully?”

The man scratched on the head, while responding in embarrassment, “I think Infanta Utan hates femina men who are quite ordinary. He loves to trouble us with various trifles, and we’ve already been used to the tricks.”

After that, he glanced around left and right, and then added attempting to amend the words he just said, “Not that vicious tricks I mean, but more like friendly ones. Infanta Utan is quite good-natured after all.”

Song Qinghan delivered a smile as a response. Well, he would never believe that he who was easy to rage slamming his palm on the table could ever be a good-natured person.

However, getting this information was already a surprise for him. Although he was pretty sure that Wu Dahu would never fancy Utan, he had to take precautions against being trapped by Utan. If things would evolve just like what Jiayi provoked at that time, nothing but trouble would await him in the near future.

At the thought of Jiayi, Song Qinghan sighed slightly and then turned to put his gaze on Wu Dahu’s face.

In his previous plan, he intended to interrogate Wu Dahu about the reason why he would promise something to Jiayi. But now, eyeing Wu Dahu in front who was currently fainted in coma, he only found that everything was just like mist which was so untouchable and easy to fade away.

If, however, Wu Dahu really ceased to be faithful, the day Wu Dahu confessed to him about everything would ultimately come even he never bother to ask, because he definitely knew that Wu Dahu would never be that petty leaving without bidding farewell.

He rose from the seat and walked out of the tent, reached out to take over Little Shitou from the man accompanying. While caressing Little Shitou on the back of head, he raised his head to look at the man, “Take me there where gathers the most seriously injured patients. And, if it is possible, can you take my son to have fun riding horse?”

Little Shitou is a big baby now and must be curious on probing the colorful world, so keeping him all the way with the mantle cover on his head would never be good for him. Even though riding a horse was quite a dangerous game, he would at least be allowed to view some green and fresh vegetations instead of being bored and suffered by seeing men and blood.

The man was utterly stunned after hearing Song Qinghan’s request. He was about to refuse at that moment but when he found himself was being stared by Little Shitou with his big and watery eyes, he was melted and then he nodded, “Alright, alright, but I need you to promise me that you will never act by your own without permission, or otherwise I won’t take him to ride horse anymore.”

He demanded so because his duty was to watch Song Qinghan but not Little Shitou. Although he knew the fact that as long as Little Shitou was kept here, Song Qinghan would never take any risks to leave. But what if he left? If Song Qinghan was really someone who was heartless to leave his own biological son behind, he might be punished for neglect of duty.

Song Qinghan nodded thoughtfully. After arriving at the tent the man led to, he took a casual glance and then uttered peacefully, “I am about to finish my duty in roughly two hours, it will be fine if you come back within these two hours.”

The man did not bother to talk further, he carried Little Shitou on the right side of his shoulder and then left for the direction where the horse pack stayed.

Far differed from the custom of Qingmu people, the barbarians loved to paste their butts on the horses even though the bugle of the war was not roaring.

This was one of the ways they were trained. And that was why Qingmu people would dub them ‘the people living on the back of horse’.

Having not finished wandering in the training ground for half, the man carrying Little Shitou was summoned.

“Hey you over there, the one carrying the baby! Come over here!”

The man glanced around quickly and found that he was the only one in the scene who was carrying a baby. With no further hesitation, he promptly jumped off from the horse, and then paid his salute, “Your Highness Infanta, something I can help?”

Right, the one who summoned was no one else but Utan. He would really pretend not to hear the command from Utan if Utan did not specifically pointed at him with such specific traits. After all, from the tone of Utan he knew that it was nothing good the Utan would request.

Sure enough, Utan came to question thoughtfully after meticulously sizing Little Shitou in the man’s arms, “Is this little one the son of that Qingmu guy?”

The man was utterly tense all of a sudden, and then deliberately moved Little Shitou’s face deeper into his chest, while answering in a low voice, “Ye… Yes… Your Highness Infanta.”

Utan seemed to be hyper-excited with his pair of eyes brightened with lights after the positive answer of the man. He stretched forth his arm with the horsewhip in his hand pointing at the man and commanding excitedly, “Hand the baby to me!”

Sensing that things probably would evlove in the most unpromising way, the man lowered his head deeply, while pleading, “Your Highness Infanta, I was assighed to take care of this baby, I am afraid…”

“I TOLD YOU TO HAND HIM OVER, ARE YOU DEAF OR SOMETHING?”

Utan roared but his voice was hoarse and deep, while the brightness in his eyes turned into coldness, interrupting the man’s speaking ruthlessly.

The man dithered for a while, and finally he came to know he got no power at all to resist against Utan’s command. He stood up slowly and then walked to the side of Utan, delivered Little Shitou to Utan in his hands.

Seeing that Utan did not even know how to carry a baby but directly grasped Little Shitou over and put the baby on the back of the horse, the man was startled, almost to his death, and he couldn’t help but say in a trembling tone, “It’s dangerous! Your Highness Infanta! He is just a toddler!”
