Chapter 210: Heading to the Stable

Song Qinghan did not go anywhere after he came out of the tent, instead of troubling to do so, he went directly to ask for the way to the stable.

Well, one of the most crucial factors involving in the war should be horses besides human beings.

Even though the quantity of the horses in Qingmu Country wasn’t competitive compared to the one of the Northern minorities, it was still quite sufficient used for standby source. So in that case, there were some people within the logistic team were assigned to take care of the horses, and their duty was to spend the all day long with all kinds of these animals, taking care of them in their daily stuff.

There were a lot of people here in the stable. After all, they got more than hundreds of horses needed to be taken care of, if there was only one person who was responsible for that, he who took the responsibility probably would be knocked up.

Song Qinghan did not come up that quick to ask whether there was someone would love to take care of Little Shitou in a hurry, instead, he stood still for quite a long while and at the end finally fixed his gaze on a femina man who seemed to walk quite unnaturally.

On the other side, that femina man subconsciously tilted his face to the other side with his fists clenched tight when he noticed that someone was approaching. He reacted so queerly as if he was rather nervous right now while his throat was visually shrinking and loosening.

It was Little Shitou who broke this dreadful silence in the stable, and he stretched forth his finger to the horse aside that femina man, babbling cheerfully and adorably, “SHE~EP!”

Out of surprise, Song Qinghan was quite embarrassed with such an abrupt sound. Yet it seemed that the femina man who was seemingly nervous relaxed all of a sudden, while commencing smiling aligning with Little Shitou’s laughing.

Noticing that, Song Qinghan suddenly grabbed the chance to break in, “He only drinks sheep milk before, that’s why he will misunderstand that the horse is sheep. That’s awkward, isn’t it?”

The femina man didn’t expect that Song Qinghan would suddenly speak to him, but since the atmosphere seemed to have cheered down, he calmed himself down a lot as well. So he came to nod, saying, “It’s nothing, he’s just a child. Instead, I am quite impressed that he can speak so well.”

As the femina man spoke, Song Qinghan lowered his gaze to the femina man’s right leg which he purposely withdrew backwards. Without hesitation, he asked while raising his eyebrows, “Did you get hurt by the horses, or?”

The femina man’s figure seemed to grow smaller and smaller again as Song Qinghan asked so, doubtlessly, he became nervous once again while stuttering, “Nothing… nothing special… I just happened to stand too long, pro… probably I am just exhausted currently.”

Song Qinghan was quite confused with that reaction, he then turned to ask tentatively with a teasing tone, “So you might get paralyzed if you choose to stand longer, right?”

“Nonsense, nonsense! I… I am fine, I am healthy enough, don’t, don’t you talk nonsense! Leave if you don’t have something important to get me informed. Go away!” the femina man shouted abruptly and violently after he heard the words of Song Qinghan.

Noticing that the femina man was waving his hands in the air in a flush with his face blushed slightly the next second, Song Qinghan came to utter in confusion, “I didn’t say that in a mean way, I just wanted to make a diagnosis on your leg, and to see if I can handle with it.”

Well, that was why he had fixed his sight on this femina man when he probed in the stable. Indeed, it was kind of a tactic from Song Qinghan, if he was able to cure the femina man’s leg, probably he would love to take care of Little Shitou in order to repay.

Though such a tactic somehow seemed to be a kind of unscrupulous one, if he clearly mentioned that he didn’t want to take care of the Little Shitou after he was cured, Song Qinghan wouldn’t force him at all.

Well, instead of describing it as an unscrupulous means to earn the free labour, it should be more suitable to say it as a ‘bribe’ that existed in the modern society when the patients delivered the ‘red envelope’ to doctors for a good treatment, even though sometimes patients knew the fact that doctors probably would not accept the ‘bribe’, they still had to try in order to make sure that they could be treated equally.

The femina man took a sudden pause when he heard Song Qinghan said so, as if to try his best to comprehend each single word of his. And finally he raised his head and looked into Song Qinghan’s eyes, asking, “Are you a real doctor? I mean, a real real doctor?”

Song Qinghan pondered for a brief moment, and then nodded, answering, “Kind of, I would say. At least I can cure some minor injuries and diseases.”

A trace of struggle could be caught up on the femina man’s face after Song QInghan’s confession, he lowered his head and stared at his right leg, murmuring, “What diagnosis can you exactly make? Is it curable?”

Song Qinghan came to smile and then raised his eyebrows, answering, “I’m just one kind of an inexperienced doctor, it should be a blessing for me already to judge that your right leg is problematic one, how much deeper are you expecting me to make a further diagnosis? Besides, at least you have to expose your leg barely to me and let me check it out, right?”

The femina man’s right leg shrank again subconsciously and nervously, he raised his head and glanced around. Noticing that no one was attracted over here, he slowly bent to roll up his trouser legs, while saying in a low voice, “A naughty horse once kicked me on my right leg when I was taking care of him, it seemed that I have to live with such a broken leg for the rest of my life…”

At the moment Song Qinghan saw black bruise on the femina man’s right leg, his eyebrows sank seriously and then he squatted down, reaching out to knead on the bruising area.

Without letting Song Qinghan to see the bruise more clearly, the femina man put down his trouser leg abruptly and coughed, “Someone’s here. Get up, now. Remember, I’m all fine and nothing has to be worried on me.”

As soon as Song Qinghan stood up, an unkind voice broke the peaceful ambience suddenly.

“Susan! How dare you being idle here again?! If I catch you one more time, you will be thrown to the battlefield and clearing the messy sh*t there will be your only responsibility.”

The femina man who was called Susan bent his back respectfully one after another, and he hurried up the movements, while responding flatteringly, “This brother comes over here intending to ask me something, it’s my negligence to give him an answer, sorry but I didn’t act idly.”

The man walked over to the side in front of Song Qinghan. After completely seeing Song Qinghan’s appearance, he got his eye lighted up suddenly, and then he touched his own chin and rubbed it for a while as if he was thinking of something in mind. After that, he came to ask all of a sudden, “What do you want from him? Since I am the leader within the team here, don’t you think that it will be much more convenient to ask me for something? You… from the Chamber Pot Team?”

Song Qinghan caught a glimpse of the expression on Su San’s face from the corner of his eye. Noticing that the femina man was rather nervous there, he came to know that the so-called team leader right in front of him wasn’t someone with a good intention, so he responded calmly and faintly, “No need to trouble you, Lord, I’ve asked what I want to ask, I should leave now.”

“Oh hey, don’t be so hurried. Since you’re here, you don’t have a mood to see the beautifully magnificent and spacious stable? If you want it, I can ride with you to make it real!”

The man sounded while stretching forth his arm to block the way of Song Qinghan. Even though it was quite an enthusiastic invitation, it was too suppressive for Song Qinghan.

Song Qinghan frowned tight and then took a step back subconsciously, answering calmly, “No, thanks, Lord, there are still a lot of matters needed to be processed by me out there.”

Although he wasn’t quite familiar with the rule within the stable, he still knew that no horse here could be used without permission from the commanders. He probably would be caught tripping if he accept the deal to have some fun here.

Noticing that Song Qinghan was quite tough, the man rolled his eyes a bit and the next moment he turned his soft tone into a harsh one, while shouting, “YOU, being a team member of the chamber pot team, dare to sneak into the stable area! Confess to me about your intention! Or otherwise, I will take you to greet the commanders and they will decide your death or life!”

Song Qinghan laughed angrily all of a sudden. He opened his arms to expose Little Shitou, and then answered peacefully, “Is it forbidden that I take my son out to take a short walk? Adults can bear the stuffy environment doesn’t mean that a child can do that as well.”

The man was speechless and looked quite unhappy with Song Qinghan’s stubborn attitude. He waved his sleeves and said, “Take your walk elsewhere but not here, I don’t even care. Here isn’t somewhere allowing staff not related to work to come inside! Susan! If I catch you again…”

He deliberately paused for a long time. But before he finished his words, Susan hurried to answer after he noticed he was being glared by the man, “I will never allow such situation to happen again, Lord!”

Song Qinghan was so disgusted by the man’s gaze and he didn’t want to stay any longer. He snorted and strode forward. Just as he was about to walk far away, he suddenly stopped and shouted aloud, “If the mountain doesn’t rotate, the water rotate! If the water doesn’t rotate, human beings will!”

After that, he walked directly back to his camp without bothering himself to figure out whether Susan had understood or not.
