Chapter 216 Emperor Shun of Qing Dynasty

Chapter 216 Emperor Shun of Qing Dynasty

The compilation of "History of the Qing Dynasty" was a power that only the new dynasty had.

Once compiled, it will mean that the Puppet Qing Dynasty has completely changed the story in Jiangnan, which is of great political significance.

This is why the Minister of Rites, Zuo Shilang, came to report this matter. It was obviously not for the purpose of compiling history, but more for political influence.

However, it is still too early to revise "History of the Qing Dynasty" now.The puppet Qing Dynasty was not only rich in most of the country, but the Ming army had not yet invaded Beijing.

Without the actual records and historical manuscripts of the pseudo-Qing emperors, how can we compile "History of the Qing Dynasty" and make it up randomly?

However, relevant institutions can be established first.

Before the Tang Dynasty, histories were generally compiled privately. It was not until Li Erfeng opened a history museum and appointed historians under the supervision of the prime minister that the system of official history books was established.

In the Northern Song Dynasty, the system was further improved, and five specialized institutions were established: the Living Courtyard, the Calendar Office, the Record Office, the National History Office, the Meeting Hall, and the Jade Document Office.

Among them, the Academy of Records and the Academy of National History were institutions that specialized in compiling histories of previous dynasties, and the Academy of Pseudo-Qing National History even lasted until the Republic of China.Zhao Erxun later edited "History of the Qing Dynasty" at the Academy of National History, which was renamed the Academy of Qing History.

The responsibilities of the meeting hall are highly overlapped with Emperor Zhu's current secretariat, so there is no need to set up another one.

As soon as you hear the names of the living room and calendar office, you will know what they are for. Jade Butterfly records the important events of the royal family.

The Queen is about to give birth, the first legitimate heir of the Ming Dynasty is about to be born, and the Jade Butterfly Palace can also be built.

Zhu Yijiong immediately wrote and wrote: "There is no rush to compile history. We can first draft the temple name and posthumous title."

This was also written in the memorial of Xiao Renfang, the left minister of the Ministry of Rites, obviously expecting that the emperor would most likely disagree.

After all, there is nothing, and the old capital of Beijing is not in our hands, so how can we compile history?

But if you don’t write history, you can give Kangxi, the pseudo-Qing sage ancestor, a temple name, a posthumous title, etc.

Although everyone in the Ming Dynasty denounced the pseudo-Qing Dynasty, the "History of the Qing Dynasty" still needs to be revised, and political and public opinion cannot be lost.

The person who can be given a temple title or a posthumous title by the new dynasty is usually the last emperor of the previous dynasty. Even if he ascends the throne later, he is not regarded as orthodox.

At best it is regarded as a continuation, but in fact it is a political and public opinion offensive.

For example, Zhu Yuanzhang's posthumous title of Shun Emperor was given to Emperor Huizong of the Yuan Dynasty, which meant that he was the last emperor of the Mongolian Kingdom of the Yuan Dynasty.Even though the Yuan Dynasty later retreated to the grassland, the Ming army's three northern expeditions returned without success.

But the Yuan Dynasty has also become the Northern Yuan Dynasty, that is, the Ming Dynasty recognizes the Northern Yuan Dynasty as the continuation of the Yuan Dynasty, but does not recognize it as the Yuan Dynasty.

Just as Dashun and Qing Dynasty had just invaded Beijing and Nanming retreated to Nanjing, these two men were eager to give Chongzhen a temple name and a posthumous title, in order to determine the death of the Ming Dynasty from a political and legal perspective.

The later Nanming Dynasty was no longer regarded as the Great Ming Dynasty. This is why the Qing Dynasty destroyed the Nanming Dynasty, but no scholars came to criticize it.

Not only because most scholars have become the leading party, but also because from a political and legal perspective, Nanming and Daming have been separated.

The Qing court denounced Nanming as a puppet dynasty, but respected Chongzhen as orthodox.

……

Following the approval of the memorial, Xiao Renfang, the left minister of the Ministry of Rites, was officially transferred to the chief official of the Academy of National History, responsible for the compilation of "History of the Qing Dynasty".

The left minister of the Ministry of Rites, Guan Yizheng, was of the third rank, while the Academy of National History was the third academy of the pseudo-Qing Dynasty. Later it was changed to the cabinet, and Guan Yizheng was of the second rank.

This is equivalent to jumping two levels in place.

Xiao Renfang was so excited that he quickly took charge of the job.

The former right minister of the Ministry of Rites also got an advantage, and he took advantage of the situation and promoted the left minister.

In ancient times, the left was respected. Although the right minister and the left minister had the same rank, if they moved from the right to the left, they would be promoted, and if they moved from the right to the left, they would be demoted.

Within a few days, the Academy of National History, which Xiao Renfang was responsible for, submitted the compiled temple names and posthumous titles to Zhu Yijiong's case.

Zhu Yijiong flipped through it casually, and found that each temple name and posthumous title had corresponding annotations. Generally speaking, most of them were quite pertinent, neither praise nor criticism.

Just as the Manchu Qing Dynasty gave Chongzhen the temple name Huaizong, the posthumous title Emperor Duan, and the mausoleum Siling, the Southern Ming Dynasty commemorated Emperor Zonglie.

Huaizong and Sizong are both the names of the kings who lost their country, and they have nothing to do with praise or blame.

Duan, self-restraint and propriety, Lie, uprightness, Lie.

Zhu Yijiong only thought for a moment and said: "Zhao Zong, please obey the emperor!" Zhao is a beautiful posthumous title, but in the temple title, it represents the king of the country's subjugation, and it is also a very miserable king of the country's subjugation.

For example, Emperor Zhaozong of the Tang Dynasty was stabbed to death by Zhu Wen in the palace, Zhaozong Yongli of the Ming Dynasty was strangled to death by Wu Sangui, etc.

Emperor Shun was not only disgusting Kangxi and the Manchu Qing Dynasty, but also expressing his own legitimacy.

The last Emperor Shun was Emperor Yuan Shun. There is no special meaning. It was the Northern Expedition of the Ming Dynasty. As a result, Emperor Yuan Shun ran away first.

Lao Zhu was very satisfied with Emperor Yuan Shun's obedient surrender of Beijing, so he gave him the posthumous title Shun to express his submission.

Later, Shun was basically a term used only for foreigners. For example, Gongshun Hou of the Ming Dynasty was the leader of Mongolia in Hexi Province and the Sanshun King of the Manchu Qing Dynasty.

Anyway, we cannot learn from the Qing Dynasty. There were three ancestors in the Qing Dynasty: Taizu, Shizu and Shengzu.

The key point is that there is Taizong Huang Taiji between Taizu and Shizu. It is understandable that Huang Taiji posthumously named Nurhaci the Taizu. He was posthumously named Taizong, which was only natural for the Manchus.

Without Huang Taiji's efforts to turn the tide, Manqing would have collapsed long ago.

Then, his son Shunzhi Fulin, who had done nothing, was the ancestor of the world, and his son Kangxi was the ancestor of the emperor.

There can only be one ancestor in a dynasty, and three ancestors means division of the family, which means that the incense that should belong to Nurhachi alone is divided into three parts.

He also said that the lineage of emperors in later generations has nothing to do with Nurhaci, Huang Taiji, and Fulin, and must start from Kangxi.

If Kangxi went down to Jiuquan and saw his biological father Fulin, he would probably be strangled to death.

In fact, this was also the case in the original Ming Dynasty. Zhu Di's temple name was originally Ming Taizong. It was all because Emperor Jiajing was messing around and took a fancy to Zhu Di's incense specifications, and then he used it as a pretext to raise the name of the temple to Zhu Di, and actually plotted to rob it.

However, Jiajing also suffered retribution later, and his tomb was stolen by Qianlong.Qianlong originally took a fancy to the fine golden nanmu in Zhu Di's tomb, but later found that the one in Jiajing was better, so he gave up Changling and stole the Yongling in Jiajing instead.

As for the temple name of Ming Chengzu Zhu Di, Zhu Yijiong corrected it after consulting with the Ministry of Rites as early as the day he proclaimed himself emperor.

Now in the Ancestral Temple, Zhu Di has transformed back into Ming Taizong.

Well... Zhu Qizhen, the God of War of Ming Yingzong, is also there.

It doesn't matter if Zhu Di's Taimiao temple name is changed. After all, it was originally inconsistent with the etiquette system. Now it is just changing the temple name back to the normal temple name, but Zhu Qizhen has no choice.

Zhu Yijiong personally set a new temple name and posthumous title for Kangxi. Next, as long as the Propaganda Department writes an article and passes it on, the last influence of the Qing Dynasty in the Jiangnan area will be gone.

Jiangnan has officially entered the Ming Dynasty, and those scholars who are still wavering and waiting can completely switch to the Ming Dynasty.

Xiao Renfang bowed and stepped back, preparing to go back and discuss with the Propaganda Department how to write the posthumous form.

As for this article and the temple name being spread throughout the world, it is none of their business how Yongzheng should handle himself.

Or no matter how you deal with it, it will not be beneficial to Yongzheng. If you don't respond, it is equivalent to acquiescing.

This will be a heavy blow to the majesty of the puppet Qing court. What reaction...how to react? Send troops south?
Where does the money and food come from?
Moreover, if we mobilize our troops southward, what will happen to the rebellions in the four provinces of Shanhe?
Furthermore, not to mention the rebellion, even if you really go south and fight, if you encounter a little setback, the result will still be the same.

This game is a dead end for Yongzheng.

Not going in, not going back.

However, judging from Yongzheng's evaluation and work style in history, Zhu Yijiong guessed that Yongzheng would most likely endure it! ?

Who knows.

Xiao Renfang went back to arrange for Emperor Shun Kangxi to be given a posthumous title in the temple, while the Propaganda Department stepped up writing articles for the Di Di newspaper.

Moreover, it cannot be belittled, it must be written as well as possible to reflect the magnanimity of Emperor Zhu.

The Hulu puppet dynasty was also a dynasty!

Even the Yuan Dynasty can recognize our majestic Central Plains dynasty, so it is not that we cannot tolerate you, the Qing Dynasty.

The Qing Dynasty where "Hu has no destiny for a hundred years".

Under the calm conditions in Nanjing, the first batch of sea trade fleets that took advantage of the opening of the sea in the first year of Jianwu to do business finally came back.
