Chapter 34 The 2 Chosen People

Chapter 34 The Chosen Two

Outside, the sun had sunk slowly but surely below the horizon, lost in the mountains, and directly opposite it was a new moon rising.

Light and darkness completed the transition in a very short period of time, the light disappeared, and night fell.

Losing the temperature of the sun, the wind that wanders between the houses brings a cool feeling.

Pandora folded her chest unconsciously.

The clothes woven with light gauze are good-looking, but they are not very practical.

"How could Epimetheus like this dress?"

"Aren't the gods afraid of the cold?"

Inside the house, Epimetheus, who turned his face sideways, happened to see the moon slowly rising into the sky through the window.

He dropped Pilar and opened the door with a smile on his face.

"It's cold outside, come in first."

Putting her slender fingers into the big hand that Epimetheus offered, Pandora smiled, and she glanced at Pila who was looking at the two sullenly in the room.

"Are you father and daughter finished talking?"

Epimetheus smirked: "Not yet, isn't it up to you?"

Glancing blankly at her husband who wanted to bring trouble to the east, Pandora walked behind Pila and combed her long hair with a wooden comb.

She teased and said, "My daughter has grown up and is starting to think about spring."

Pila was already blushing, and she changed the subject solemnly: "Father, when can I truly become a god?"

Epimetheus: "When you come back."

Pila: "Come back? I'm not going out!"

The words of Epimetheus are meaningful: "You will go out, not only you, but Deucalion will also go out."

"You will go to the world and come back here."

"Only until then can you become a god."

Pyla asked, "Why did we go to the human world, and why did I have to come back before I could become a god?"

"Will that be long?"

Epimetheus did not answer immediately.

He seemed to be enduring severe pain, and fine beads of sweat appeared on his forehead.

After a while, a ball of light appeared in his hand.

Then he replied: "Don't worry, Pyrrha."

"Not long."

"With me and your mother's support, you are destined to become a god."

"And when you become a god, you will know that there is no difference between 100 years and 1000 years. As long as you want, they can be a short moment."

He threw the ball of light at Pyla.

In a hurry, Pila reached out to catch it, but the ball of light disappeared as soon as it touched her hand.

Before he had time to wonder, Pila felt that he had become different.

The roars of mountain animals and the whispers of humans in sleep came from her ears.

An indescribable strange feeling appeared in Pyla's heart, and she kept repeating a fact to her.

"All creatures in the world are your creations, and you are their creator."

Pila suddenly felt blessed.

She raised her hand, and a phantom of a human appeared in the room, and it quickly changed from illusion to reality.

But Epimetheus snapped his fingers suddenly, and the abrupt voice echoed in the room.

The sound pulled Pila out of her ecstasy, and also aroused a certain power in her body, and the phantom in the room disappeared immediately.

Epimetheus said to Pyrrha: "If you cannot settle your creature, don't let it be born lightly."

"After all, your energy is limited, but your strength is unlimited."

Pyla, who was awake, was a little excited: "Father, what did you just give me?"

"I feel as if I have become a god, with just one thought, I can fill the whole earth with living creatures."

Epimetheus wiped the sweat from his forehead casually: "Not just any god can do this."

"This is the authority of your grandfather Iapetus to create creatures."

"Now I'm giving it to you as an early celebration of your becoming a god."

Pila became even more excited: "But...that's not the case in the legend."

"According to the legend, the third uncle created the human body, Athena, the goddess of wisdom, endowed the newborn human with wisdom, and you, the father, acted as a bridge between the two, accelerating the process of human birth."

"It's the three of you who work together to have active creatures on the earth."

"And during this period, father, you made a mistake, causing human beings to not have any natural talents."

She looked at her hands in puzzlement, and expressed her doubts to Epimetheus: "But why can I do it alone, and it's effortless."

But Epimetheus answered him indifferently: "Oh, you said that one time."

"I made a mistake on purpose."

"Your grandfather gave me almost complete authority over the creation of living beings."

"What your third uncle Prometheus and Athena have worked so hard to do, I can actually do it with a single thought."

Pilar was shocked.

She looked at Epimetheus carefully, trying to connect her father with the great gods in the legend.

In her eyes, the ordinary figure of Epimetheus suddenly became majestic and mysterious.

Epimetheus laughed: "Don't look, powerful authority does not mean strong power."

"No matter how you look at it, I can't turn myself into Zeus and let you be the little princess of the gods."

He came closer and suddenly asked Pyrrha, "Daughter, do you believe that I can prophesy?"

Pila nodded hurriedly: "I believe, father, you must be a very powerful god."

Epimetheus told her gently: "Then you promise me."

"If one day you stand somewhere in the world with Deucalion and look into the distance, there will be no living beings on the earth."

"Don't rush to use the authority I gave you to create."

"The first thing you need to do is pray to a deity you think you can trust, but not someone you know well."

"Then wait for her guidance and do as she asks."

"Remember, you can do less, but don't do other superfluous things."

"You may not understand, but this is the future I see, and it is the best outcome for you."

"When you bring Deucalion back to your mother and me, then it will be the day when you fade away from the mortal world and become a god."

Pilar nodded thoughtfully, "I see, Father."

Epimetheus gently stroked her hair: "Good boy."

"Go back to your room, your mother and I have something to talk about."

Questioned and shocked, Pila went back to her room.

Only then did Pandora choose to speak out, and she asked Epimetheus: "Why don't you let your daughter become a god as soon as possible."

"Do you have to wait for her to go to the human world before coming back?"

Epimetheus told her: "It is not a good thing that I display too much power."

"Zeus will feel that his rule is not stable enough to guard against me and target me."

"But humanity is doomed to perish, and is doomed to be reborn."

"That's why Deucalion and our daughter, who inherited the power of Prometheus, are also destined to go to the world and let new humans be born."

"After this gust of wind blows, things will be easier to handle."

Pandora: "It seems that we can only take it slowly."

Epimetheus narrowed his eyes: "Yeah, I can only take it slowly, but the clothes you are wearing today are really beautiful."

The lights go out.

Pandora exclaimed in a low voice in the darkness: "Stop talking! The clothes are going to be torn."

"Go back to your room and don't let your daughter hear you."

"Back to..."
