Chapter 12 It's Better To Let Master Be The Lord Of This Lingshan

"Amitabha."

Fahai chanted the Buddha's name, looked at Wukong and said, "If a wicked person is influenced by Buddhism, can he still be considered a wicked person?"

Wukong thought for a while, and said, "This disciple heard the words in Buddhism, put down the slaughtering knife, and became a Buddha on the ground, even those demons who kill without calculation will also become Buddhas when they think about it. Cause and effect, even if the new born is like this, it may not be considered a villain."

"Wukong, are you trying to excuse yourself by saying this?"

Wukong: "Master, what's the meaning of this statement?"

"In the past, you were also a wicked person who could be regarded as a villain in the eyes of the world. You were also known as the Seven Great Sages of the Monster Race, and you made a lot of troubles in the Dragon Palace, the Underworld, and even the Heavenly Court?"

Wukong said helplessly: "If Master said that, my old grandson's reputation could stop crying at night. He is a big devil."

"And now that you have entered the ascetic, you have become a monk, and you have cut yourself off from the past, and you have become a Buddhist monk. You can be considered to have put down the butcher's knife, but you are still a demon?"

Wukong thought for a while, and said: "The disciple should have been suppressed under the Five Elements Mountain for 500 years to punish and atone for his sins, so that he has the opportunity now."

"You ask yourself, do you have the slightest understanding of Buddhism?"

Wukong said honestly: "The disciple listens to Master's words all the time, but occasionally learns a few words to hang on his lips, the most familiar one is the four words 'Amitabha Buddha'. "

"You have been punished, so you have such a chance. These robbers and bandits have not yet made atonement, how can they listen to the teachings of the Buddha's teachings? If you use the Buddha's teachings to understand them at this moment, won't they become good people?"

"If it's like this, wouldn't the Three Realms be in chaos? Let those demons do evil things, and when the incident happens, they will go to Buddhism. If you say that you are fully enlightened, and you have changed your past mistakes, you will be able to ignore the cause and effect. Instead, it is those who lost their lives and There is nowhere to escape from their wronged souls.”

"Wukong, you said it yourself, these wicked people, do they cross for the teacher or not?"

Wukong was stunned for a while, he suddenly felt that the Buddhadharma was broad and profound, but he had never understood it in depth in the past, but now he just listened to Master's use of the topic, and he felt sharp and sincerely bowed: "Master's words are very true, such robbers should be handled by the government. Use the law to punish the so-called people who are destined to cross the Buddha. Before they pay off their sins, they are not connected to my Buddha, Master, is this the truth?"

"You stubborn monkey, you have a lot of wisdom. Although you are not right, you have some shallow knowledge."

Hearing Master's praise, Wukong was overjoyed, but he wondered, "Why did Master influence him with the Dharma alone?"

Wukong pointed to the robber Lao Liu.

"He was originally a passer-by, but because of some tricks, he was forcibly kept in the cottage by robbers, and he has never done the act of robbing his family and making money and killing his life. Although he used to fight bravely, he didn't have any major sins. It's still too late to stop the horse from the cliff." Fa Hai smiled and said, "Since he is not a wicked person, as a teacher, he will lead him into the right path and persuade him to be good."

"That's the truth. This is a great merit." Wukong suddenly realized that he was fortunate for the robber Lao Liu. "Thanks to him looking for Master at the time, if he came to my grandson first, I'm afraid he would have died for a long time."

The robber Lao Liu got the advice of the holy monk, and he changed his past. He went to the cottage to get the gold and silver and gave it to the master and the disciple. He thought it was going through the road. , said to Elder Tang: "The villain will surrender now. If you get rid of the shackles in the future and do good deeds from that day, you will live up to the teachings of the holy monk."

The matter was over, the master and the apprentice returned to their old husband's house, ready to set off and continue their journey west.

The two of them were relieved, but the Bodhisattva who watched the whole process above the clouds was full of emotion and said something was wrong.

Now that the two master and apprentice are "like glue and paint", she can't wait to stick together all the time, but it is difficult for her to find an opportunity to send the three hoops in her hand. I was afraid that the monkey would not obey the discipline, so he made a lot of plans. Now, when he watched the monkey obey the words of the elder Tang, he felt uneasy.

If so, that's fine.

What the Bodhisattva cares most about is the words of Elder Tang: Those demons are doing bad things, and when the incident occurs, they will go to Buddhism. If you say that you are fully enlightened, and you can change your past mistakes, you will be able to ignore the cause and effect and gain a new life.
She inexplicably felt that the pet mounts of the gods and Buddhas who had already taken their places on the westbound road had a big word "dangerous" carved on their foreheads.

Either way.

Because of the slight change of Elder Tang alone, such a wonderful change was triggered, which was something Lingshan had not expected before.

The Great Sacred Heart's wish to see Master's superb Dharma was never fulfilled, and he decided to try his best not to take action next time.

And how the master influenced the robber Lao Liu, he has no way of knowing.

Compared to transcending demons, Fahai is better at transcending them.

After all, Fa Hai is a monk with compassion. Although he will not blame Wukong for hurting the lives of these robbers, he will naturally not hurt people if it is not necessary.

Because of Datang's punishment, they will naturally be executed.

He is just an ordinary monk, not a judge, and he believes that he has no right to judge others' lives at will.

When cultivating in the past, when encountering some monsters who did not kill evil, but they were quite virtuous, they mostly abolished their cultivation, but they did not directly hurt their lives.

But in other words, in the world of demons, if the cultivation base is abolished, it will almost become someone else's meal, which is no different from death.

"Master." After all, Wukong is a restless person, and he followed an eminent monk of the Tang Dynasty with profound Buddhist teachings. Naturally, he asked for advice from time to time: "You are such an eminent monk, you have to go to the Western Heaven to seek the true scriptures, and you don't know the truth of the scriptures. What a benefit."

When the Bodhisattva above the clouds heard Wukong's question, he turned his ears away, as if he wanted to hear what Tang Sanzang, who had awakened Jin Chanzi's true spirit, had any insights.

"The poor monks haven't seen the scriptures yet, so how do they know the benefits?" Fa Hai smiled and said, "When I go to the Western Heaven and seek the scriptures, I'll know that it can't be understood by the Master Guanyin who said that the Mahayana teachings can transcend the dead and ascend to heaven. It can save difficult people and get rid of suffering, can cultivate an immeasurable longevity body, can make no coming and going, can solve the knot of a hundred grievances, and can eliminate the disaster that is inexhaustible.”

"In this way, it is also a good method." Wukong smiled: "If you cultivate it, you can also get a long life."

"You monkey head, you only think about longevity in your heart." Fa Hai knocked on his head and said, "You only want to liberate yourself, even if you go to the West, you can't ask for the Mahayana scriptures to be passed on to your master. Some of your Theravada essentials are enough."

"Why is this?" Wukong was quite puzzled.

"Although I have never seen the true scriptures, but only by listening to a few words of the Bodhisattva, I can also understand the teachings of Mahayana Buddhism, not in individuals, but in the teachings of the Hinayana, knowing that the World-Honored One is the only true Buddha in the world, and all beings learn his Dharma. In order to seek self-transcendence; then Mahayana Buddhism really wants to save all living beings and make everyone become a Buddha." Fahai looked at Wukong with some confusion and doubts, and said: "Simply put, Theravada Buddhism is about self-transcendence, and the Mahayana Buddhism lies in Transcend all beings."

The merciful and compassionate Guanyin Bodhisattva also nodded secretly when he heard Sanzang's views, thinking, if you had such enlightenment long ago, how could you have been sent to reincarnation by the Buddha.

It can be seen that the tenth reincarnation is not ineffective, and Jin Chanzi's Dharma has been diligent.

"Master is really an eminent monk, and he has such an understanding before he has seen the true scriptures." Having said this, Wukong thought: "If this is the case, the Mahayana and the Hinayana do not seem to be in conflict. Picking up the elders of the two families on one shoulder, crossing oneself and crossing others, that is the true Buddha. My old grandson sees that Tathagata is just a villain who is used to conspiracy and tricks. My old grandson knows that monks do not lie, but he has eyes. Without blinking, the nonsense came out of his mouth to deceive my grandson."

"I think that when the master is successful in the cultivation of the two religions, the Tathagata must give up the position of the master of the Lingshan Mountain and let the master be the Buddha."
