Chapter 71: Possession

Evolving White Wolf belonged to the White Wolf species. White Wolf was commonly found everywhere and it had almost no difference compared to the Evolving White Wolf.

Most people would fail to recognize their difference and they might consider an Evolving White Wolf as an ordinary White Wolf if they ever encounter one. The only way to distinguish their difference was by using Spiritual Energy to try forming a connection to the wolf.

Spiritual Energy was harder to hold grasp into, unlike World Energy. Not everyone had them. Or even if they had, it was pretty thin. To the point that it was almost useless.

Spiritual Energy was used to form a connection with a beast or Spirits. If their Spiritual Energy were strong, then they could create a connection to a much stronger beast or Spirit. If their Spiritual Energy was a bit lacking then naturally, they would never be able to form a connection to a stronger beast or Spirits. They might only end up being suppressed if they try to bite more than they could chew. Or even worse, death.

In any case, only by making a connection with the Evolving White Wolf could make an individual recognize it. And Jasper used such a method to determine that this wolf was really an Evolving White Wolf.

Of course, Jasper only tried to form a connection, it didn't mean that the Evolving White Wolf would definitely agree to form a connection with him. But of course, if the Evolving White Wolf was any weaker to Jasper in terms of Spiritual Energy, rejecting to form a connection was nearly impossible for it.

But the Evolving White Wolf wasn't. Refusing Jasper's attempts to form a connection was as simple as drinking water for it. And that was how did Jasper manage to learn about its true identity. If it was just an ordinary White Wolf, forming a connection forcefully was very simple.

But of course, forming a connection didn't mean forming a contract to have a master-tamed beast or master-summoned Spirit relationship. It was just simply a means of communication.

In any case, Spirits had Spiritual Energy as well. And they could also put a connection with one another. Those who had a stronger Spiritual Energy naturally became the boss and they could suppress those who were weaker than them.

But Sylph didn't try to form a connection to the wolf making her remain oblivious about its real identity. But now that her master confirmed the identity of the wolf, she couldn't be so careless.

"What should we do now..." Sylph and Salamander asked at almost the same time. They finally recognized the difficulty of the task given to them by their master.

Of course, if they could just use their real strength, doing such a task was not difficult at all. But then, if the Evolving White Wolf was in the same level of their real strength, they could forget about accomplishing the task.

"Of course we are still going to catch the wolf, what else should we do?" Jasper grinned and there was an obvious excitement exuding out from his aura. "But first of all, we should try finishing off this bunch of monkeys."

The spherical water surrounding them slowly faded away until nothing was left. With blazing eyes, Jasper swept his gaze to the apes surrounding him.

The apes saw that the water barrier had just disappeared but they didn't make any careless and reckless moves and only watched the other party with great wariness.

"Possession!" In the midst of their thinking, everyone heard Jasper shouting such a word. The apes were rather confused but it didn't take long for them to realize that this young boy was about to unleash a skill.

The apes didn't wait for the young boy before them to cast his skill. They all frenziedly rushed towards the other party as if a bunch of hyenas surrounding a lion.

On the other hand, the three Spirits were taken aback hearing their master spouting such words. They didn't even know who he was talking about. They could only ask with knitting eyebrows, "Who?"

"Who else?" Jasper became impatient. "It's all of you!"

"What?!" The three Spirits were rather taken aback as they began to sweat. They were even hoping that they heard it wrong.

Possession? The three of them? Even if they already did it in the past, it was simply taxing to their master's body.

Even if only one of them tried to use this skill with their master, the backlash of using it was just simply hard to bear.

"What are you waiting for? Hurry up! If the wolf escapes will you take the blame?!" Jasper became even more impatient seeing the reluctance of his summoned Spirits. He could see the many apes rushing onto him but he didn't care about them at all. As if they were just insignificant ants ready to be dispatched at any time.

All he cared right not was to catch the wolf at all cost!

So with gritted teeth, the three Spirits didn't know what to say to convince their master to not do such a move. They knew the significance of the Evolving White Wolf and they could see the desire of their master to catch the beast. If they miss this chance, it would really be a huge loss for them.

But as reluctant as they were, in the end, they still obeyed their master. The trio surrounded their master in a triangular form as World Energy started to gather at an incredibly fast rate!

Shockwaves were immediately exuded out as the many apes couldn't help but halt their steps. They couldn't even move forward anymore.

"Woah!!!"

Meanwhile, Jim from the top of a certain tree who was watching the scene, almost jumped up in astonishment and fright when he saw his younger brother making such a move. He could tell what move his younger brother was going to use. It was something that every Summoner would long for; Possession!

Most Summoners could only borrow some power to their Spirit for them to use. Or they could use the Spirit itself as their external power. Very few could use the skill Possession.

When this skill was used, the Summoner and the summoned Spirit would obviously become one, giving an incredible strength that would almost double one's fighting prowess. In exchange, the Spiritual Energy needed to use such skill was simply astonishing making it hard for everyone to accomplish such feat.

Not only that, using such skill would deplete one's World Energy at an astonishing rate, making the time of staying on Possession state become shorter. That being said, even if a Summoner knew how to use the skill, they wouldn't use it so carelessly.

But his younger brother was just about to use it! Not only that, he was trying to use Possession with the three Spirits of his.

Is he trying to kill himself? Jim wasn't happy at all. The last time he saw his younger brother, he could only use Possession with one of his Spirit and it was already good enough. But the price of using it was something not to take as a joke. He could still remember his younger brother's difficulty in using such skill the last time he saw him a year ago.

But now he was trying to use Possession with his three Spirits? Did he just go insane? Jim even had a thought of stopping his younger brother himself.

He knew what was the other party's intention. He was eyeing for his wolf! He was still able to hear their conversation after all.

But unfortunately for his younger brother, the wolf he was eyeing on had already had a master. Using such skill to try catching the wolf was simply a waste of time and effort. Jim really wanted to make a move to stop his brother but he held himself back. There was still his Tito Chad watching the scene, if his Tito wasn't interfering, why would he interfere?

Jim shifted his consciousness to the Blood Minion he left to watch over his Tito and sure enough, the other party was only watching as well. But Jim could see that his Tito was ready for the rescue at any moment in case of necessity.

Jim then retracted his consciousness. He focused all of his attention on the unfolding sight. He could feel the astonishing rate of World Energy gathering to his younger brother.

But of course, if he compared it to those monsters he saw from the war that just transpired in their village yesterday, his younger brother's strength was just like an ant.

But well, his younger brother was only just seven years old. The World Energy he was unleashing at his age really was great. Even Jim himself wasn't confident if he could gather the fifth of it.

Jim continued to watch hoping for his Tito Chad to make a move already. But thinking about it now, Jim's Tito didn't know that the wolf had already a master. He probably was expecting his younger brother to catch and tame the wolf too. That was probably the case why did his uncle still not making a move to stop his younger brother.

If the other party knew that the wolf had already had a master, his uncle would have stopped his younger brother long ago. The same went for his younger brother, if he knew that the wolf already had a master, he wouldn't even waste his energy to use such skill to catch the wolf.
