As they were approaching the village gate, he saw his tamed beast rushing towards him together with the unconscious girl floating in the midair following him from behind. When he reached his distance towards his master, Bantay asked worriedly, "Master! Are you fine?!"

Knowing that the other party was concern about him, he waved his hand and replied, "Don't worry, it doesn't hurt at all."

"What did you say?" Hearing those words, Charley's face darkened and an aura ready to cause destruction escaped from her grasp! "It seems like you don't have enough beatings."

Jim felt goosebumps standing all over, and his body was failing to heed his command, it was shaking intensely!

Why did I say those words?

Am I mad? Am I looking for another beating? Why didn't I know it?

This unreliable tamed beast, I shouldn't have answered his question!

"That's enough, don't you think that you already have caused enough commotion?" Just when Charley was about to smack Jim to the ground, uncle Jason suddenly spoke from the side, still sitting cross-leg on the ground with his face covered in straw hat yet again.

Only then they realized that the people in the village were slowly gathering around, curious to see what was happening.

"Why did Auntie became so angry again, did Jim caused another problem?" A person from the crowd asked doubtfully.

"That's probably the case." Another person nodded in agreement.

"But wait, who is that person, he seems pretty strong and his body is quite nice as well." A lady screamed in disbelief.

"Now that you mention it, he seems to be handsome as well."

"But he is already old enough, he probably has a wife. Look in there, someone was floating close to him, she was probably his daughter."

Different kinds of commotion exploded from their surroundings. Seeing those people, Charley could only retract her aura of hostility and beckoned impatiently, "Let's go home!"

"Phew. I'm saved!" Seeing the crowds, Jim heaved another huge sigh of relief.

But just when he was about to step forward and follow his mom, the unconscious girl floating in midair suddenly woke up. Only then Jim noticed and remembered the girl he just saved!

Charley halted her footstep and turned her gaze to the girl, curious about the other party.

"Where am I? Who are you all?"

The first thing the girl had noticed was that she was standing and floating in the midair and some kind of energy was holding her up. She turned her gaze around and saw the crowd.

"You have woken up!" Seeing the girl who had just awakened, Bantay put her down carefully and continued, "You are in the Biga Village near Malaya Town, Master saved you from the wolf that was chasing you earlier."

Of course, Bantay knew something as common as this so he answered the girl patiently.

"I am saved? Where is that person then?" The little girl still felt light-headed, but noticing her wound from before had completely vanished she was slightly shocked.

She even found her skin gone softer and rosier and felt her vitality increased a bit!

She knew many incredible Hunters that could do the same but to have one in this small village? It really was inconceivable.

"The master I spoke about is here in front of you," Bantay excitedly pointed out his master from the side, very proud to his master.

Jim couldn't help but scratch the back of his head in embarrassment.

He even found his face blushing.

But wait, how could he explain this to his mom?

Jim was still happy to show off to the girl and praising his tamed beast in his heart for being so reliable when he found his face immediately turned dark. He just realized that his ability would be exposed by doing so!

He immediately cursed his tamed beast for being so unreliable!

Why do you keep bragging?! Are you really that thirsty to be noticed?

You just showed off the egg and here you are, showing off my strength!

Jim really felt another predicament ready to cause havoc at any moment. He then instinctively turned his gaze to his mom and there he saw her eyes flashing in a cold glint.

"Let's go home first!" Charley impatiently beckoned yet again. There were really a lot of things that she wanted to know this time!

Seeing his mother walking back to their house, Jim shifted his gaze to his tamed beast and to the girl who was just shocked beyond words as he said helplessly, "Let's go as well."

Bantay hurriedly followed closely, afraid that he would be left behind.

The girl hesitated for a moment before following behind as well. She also wanted to know how did things happen.

This kid actually saved me? How is that possible?

Even I, a C-rank Hunter have nearly lost my life from that wolf, now you are telling me that someone who barely has a World Energy, saved me?

Are you kidding me?

And the wolf, where is the wolf?! I need to find it as soon as possible!

Just like that, they went back to their house.

As all of them entered their house, Charley had immediately started her interrogation.

"Now then, hurry up and explain yourself!"

Jim was now sitting anxiously on the sofa. His torn clothes were just like his feelings, ready to fall at any moment.

Beside him was the girl with her eyes filled with curiosity. Even though there was a slight cut on her upper sleeve, she didn't put any attention to it at all.

Behind them was Bantay standing on guard. This was his first time entering a human house so his head was busy turning around, curious to see his surroundings.

On the opposite side of the sofa, Charley was seated authoritatively, sipping a cup of tea as if trying to cool herself down. She then put the tea down on the table between them and stared at Jim intently as if an eagle that had locked on to its prey.

"What do you want to know mom?" Jim really didn't know how should he start making up stories, so he asked his mom instead.

"Fine then." Charley paused for a moment as she sent him a barrage of questions, "What happened when I left home? How did you end up saving this girl? And also, what happened to you, why are you so different from before? What's with that life energy you currently possess? And what's with your clothes? How did it end up being torn? And that egg, how did you get it?!"

As Charley asked all those barrage of questions, Jim found his lips twitching and a forceful smile appeared on his lips.

Can you ask one question at a time mom? I don't even remember every question you asked.

However, when Jem heard the last question,

"Oh damn! The egg, it's gone!" The last question struck Jim to panic. The egg was gone missing when he was sent flying! How could he remain calm to this?!

He'd just forgot to remember this because many things happened earlier but now that he recalled it, he immediately turned more anxious!

He was just about to stand up and rush to the forest to find the egg when an invisible force weighed him down and the voice of his mother sounded yet again, "Don't even bother changing the topic or escaping from here!"

"But the egg..." Jim was really about to cry this time.

"Don't worry about the egg, master. It is with me." Seeing his master who was about to go insane, Bantay hurriedly informed the other party regarding the egg.

"What happened to it? Is it still fine? Or did it crack?" Jim who learned that the egg was with his tamed beast, asked worriedly. He really didn't know what happened to the egg.

"Even if I smash it with all my strength it wouldn't even break or crack a little." This time, Charley spoke up impatiently and interrogated Jim again, "Now then, explain yourself."

"What?!" Bantay who just heard those words, found his eyebrows twitching. He didn't know whether to laugh or cry!

When his master had unknowingly dropped the egg down, he tried to catch it as if his life depended on it, afraid that it would be broken!

If I knew that the egg is actually that hard, I wouldn't even bother diving to the ground!

My effort really is in vain!

Learning that the egg was still fine, Jim heaved a huge sigh of relief. But upon knowing that even the full strength of his mother was not enough to break the egg, Jim was really flabbergasted.

He really wanted to become excited this time but seeing the intent gaze of his mother, the excitement turned into nervousness.

He then took a long deep breath and spoke, "It's like this..."
