Wings of Pain
Chapter 7:Forbidden Feelings
"Was it in my position to stop it?" Isis replied, staring into Seth's eyes.
Seth stared back at her taking in every feature on her face. She was stunning.
"Then you should at least know why he did it right?" Seth asked, leaning in closer to her.
"It may be my skill to see but not my responsibility to tell what I see now is it?" Isis replied as she pushed Seth away, "just like how you know it should have been your turn to rule but it was not a must."
"I know, I just don't know how to accept it. I should have been the one, the one to rule not him," Seth continued, his hands rested on Isis' waist and he pulled her close, "you know too, so stand up for me."
"I know," Isis replied as she smacked his hands off her waist and pushed him away from herself, "but he's my husband. Besides I don't think this is about the throne anymore now is it?"
"You really haven't lost your feelings yet huh?" Isis retorted.
"Nice comeback," Seth laughed. The temperature rose a bit.
"Thanks, but seriously, give up on the throne," Isis suggested, "and me."
Seth looked down at Isis and nodded.
"If that is all, I'll take my leave now," Isis grinned, "I trust you won't make any rash decisions right?"
She turned and walked out of the room.
"I'm sorry Isis," Set frowned, the lingering feeling of having his hands on her waist was eating at him and the sudden loss of his purpose in life was too much to handle and he needed someone to blame and something to vent on. He needed someone to feel the anger he had stored in him, to know how much he hurts to be chosen second every single time. And he had the perfect person for this, Osiris had to go.
