When I'm With You

Asher POV:

Finding Kate was going to be hard. I don't know where I am. I turn my head left and right. I won't stop until I find Kate.

"... Omg is she alright....."

I heard bickering coming from a group of people who were surrounding something.

I walk up to the group out of curiosity, and I found her... I found Kate.... Laying on the ground... Unconciously!

"Kate!!!" I pushed everyone out of my way and I went up to her. She still had a heartbeat, but she was faintly breathing.

"Kate! Are you alright! Please answer me-"

Kate started to cough violently. She finally gained conscious and slowly opened her eyes. She looked at me. Then her eyes widened and her eyebrows lifted high. "Asher!"

She jumped up and hugged my tightly.

I hugged her back.

I still couldn't believe no one called an ambulance to help... Bastards...

Everyone left after seeing that Kate was alright.

"Kate what happened?! I-"

"Shhhh..." Kate put her finger on my lips showing that she wanted me to calm down.

"Asher... You're really warm..." Kate began to snuggle up on me and got comfortable.

"I- I'm so glad you're okay..." Tears of relief slid down my cheeks. "I... I didn't want you to leave me like Hans... I wouldn't be able to survive another lost of a friend....."

"Asher I've always had this feeling since we were 7... I..." Kate was struggling to speak.

I could tell how nervous she was. Her heartbeat was directly beating on my chest. It was fast.

"....I... I always loved you... Not as a friend.... Not as a best friend... But.... As a crush." After so much long hesitant pauses, it finally came out.

I kinda already knew she liked me like that... Especially since she kissed me at the cliff. So I wasn't all surprised.

"Kate... I already knew that." Kate immediately blushed.

"What?!?! When?? H- how-"

"Shhh..." I pressed my finger against her lips.

"Kate I'm sorry but... I don't feel the same way about you..." It hurt me knowing that I had to reject her like that.

She was silent for a while, but after the silence she stopped hugging me and stood up.

Tears were falling down from her eyes.

"(Sobs)... So I was right the whole time... I knew you didn't feel the same way about me..." She wiped her tears but more seemed to come. They didn't stop pouring.

I felt so bad... No... I felt horrible. "No Kate wait! I did have feelings for you... But it turns out that they went away... I guess I fell in love with Hans..." What was I saying?! I know Kate wouldn't have wanted to hear that.

"Oh..... It's okay..." Kate looked at the road.

Cars were zooming by fast and there were a lot of them.

"Asher... My love has reached the end of the line.... Rejection." Kate pulled out a knife from her pocket and started cutting her wrist over and over and over. Blood splashed everywhere.

"KATE!!!!! STOP!!!!!!" I ran up to her and pulled the arm that had the knife away from her.

"Don't interfere Asher! You don't know how it feels! Always wanting to be with someone... But having that other feeling that it just won't work out and it's just not meant to be... I loved you more than anything!!" Kate shoved me back really hard.

"We can talk about this Kate-"

"No! It's over... Good bye Asher....." Kate ran and jumped into the street.

"....! NO KATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

There was no point in yelling... It really was over...
