When I'm With You

Asher POV:

"This is my girlfriend... Lauren..." Piers didn't sound too enthusiastic about that.

Lauren wrapped her arms around Piers and hugged it. She was quite bubbly for a high school student, but it could just be me. I look at the time and it's 1 minute before the bell rings. Still no Hans... I hope we'll see him after school. I say bye to Piers and Lauren, then me and Kate walked to our 1st period. We both surprisingly have the same classes except 7th and 8th.

"You think Hans is absent?" Kate asked me.

I took time to think. Hans mostly comes to school, and there's no way he would change the spot he waits at. Maybe he is absent... "Umm, maybe???" I really didn't know. It was never easy to predict what Hans does.

We arrived at our class and walked in. All day we were just hoping Hans comes to school. The 3 of us only have one period that we are all together, and that's 6th.

(After school)

Me and Kate met up at the front of the bathroom like we always do. Kate told me to wait because she needed to use it, so I felt kinda lonely. Which was totally embarrassing... To me. Usually I'd be waiting here with Hans.

"Oh look who it is!" I hear a voice. It's...... Piers again.

"Piers? How did you find me in this stampede of annoying kids...?" I asked. I had my arms crossed ready for and answer.

"Hey it's a coincidence haha..." Piers did a nervous chuckle. He looked around as if he didn't want someone to find him. I was curious so I asked.

"Why are you looking like that??"

"....... Look I have to tell you something really important..... But promise not to tell my girlfriend or anyone else..." Piers looked really nervous. He gulped and gave me a stare.

I agreed to what he said. "What is it?"

"Listen..... I'm-"

The next thing I hear shocked me... His girlfriend appeared out of  nowhere yelling "PEEK A BOO!!" Which scared Piers.

"Hey baby! What are you waiting for?? Walk me to my bus!" Lauren told Piers to walk her, but she was pulling him with her so it wasn't really Piers "walking" her.

Kate got out the bathroom and said that she was ready to walk home. We walk together until I get to my street and then we go separate ways.

(After walking together)

I just said bye to Kate and walked down my street.

I guess Hans really didn't come to school today... I wonder what happened to him. Maybe he's sick... Hopefully he isn't. I continued walking and knocked on aunt Liz's house.

About 5 minutes passed and she still didn't open the door. I started to get worried so I texted her.

No reply...

I kept texting and texting and texting her, but still... I get nothing.

"Aunt.... Liz........?"
