Emilia opened her eyes and found herself on a soft bed. Her body was covered with a blanket, and she could feel a magic layer around her body.

"What happened?" she asked herself.

She glanced around and saw she was in a fancy room, but she was certain that it wasn't a hotel room. The room had decorations on the wall and stuff all around the room, which implied that the room belonged to someone.

Emilia slowly sat up and grabbed her head because of the severe pain.

'I feel like my body is tearing apart from the inside.'

When Emilia looked in front of her, she saw Zeus and Faith were sleeping on the couch while hugging each other.

Emilia gritted her teeth and clenched her fists in anger.

'They look so good together. And yet… she betrayed him.' 

Emilia slowly got off the bed and walked to the couch. She stood in front of the sleeping Zeus and Faith and muttered, "This is my chance to kill her."

Emilia conjured a dagger in her hand and thought, 'If I kill her now, she won't be able to betray Nero. And Nero won't have to experience that pain."

Emilia raised her hand, and she was about to stab Faith in the chest, but she stopped when she remembered her existence.

'If I kill her now… then… I won't be born.' After realizing the harsh truth, Emilia covered her mouth with her hand and muttered, "Why… why did it have to be like this?"

'If I am not born, I will never meet Nero. I won't exist.' Emilia almost teared up just by imagining that. 

"If I kill her, then I will be killing myself. I won't get to see Nero again. I won't get to touch him. I won't get to feel his warmth. I won't get to… love him."

Emilia's face turned pale when she realized the most cruel consequences of killing Faith.

"That means… Nero won't even remember me…"

Emilia shook her head and tossed all her thoughts aside. She raised her hand once again and stabbed Faith in the chest, or she would have if the door suddenly hadn't opened.

Emilia retracted the dagger and fixed her position.

A man wearing armor walked into the room and looked at Emilia. He stared at her with a confused look on his face and said, "Who are you, and what are you doing here?"

"I am…"

Emilia tried to reply, but Faith and Zeus woke up from the noise. Faith got up from Zeus; lap and sat beside him.

"Naben? What are you doing here?" Zeus asked the man.

Naben pointed his finger at Emilia and asked, "Who is this girl?"

"She is… well, we found her injured in the forest, so we brought her here for treatment," Zeus replied.

"Well, whatever." Naben grabbed Zeus' hand and said, "We have to go. This is an emergency!"

"What's wrong?" Zeus asked. "Is Pavel and those two bitches— Rhea and Rosemary here?"

"No! It's about Arnold!" Naben shouted with a concerned look on his face.

"Arnold? What happened to him?" Zeus asked with a curious yet calm look on his face.

"He is missing. We have to go find him!" Naben informed.

"What do you mean by he is missing?" Zeus asked with a puzzled look on his face. "Relax. He is not a kid. He is 40 years old."

"That's not it!" Naben retorted. "He was informed about your arrival at the capital, so he went to the forest on the east to get your favorite fruits."

"..."

"He went yesterday, and he still hasn't come back yet. But what's worse is there has been a terrible blizzard going on in that forest."

"You should have said this before. Let's go!" Zeus immediately got up and asked, "Where is Lucifer?"

"He is already at the guild reception, waiting for you," Naben informed.

"Alright. You stay here. Lucifer and I will handle the rest." After saying that, Zeus dashed out of the room.

Naben nodded at Faith and Emilia and left.

Now, only Emilia and Faith were in the room.

'I will kill her as soon as she shows me her back,' Emilia decided.

Faith looked into Emilia's eyes and said, "What's wrong? Are you not going to kill me?"

Emilia was baffled after hearing that.

"So you were awake?!" Emilia hissed and conjured the dagger in her hand.

"I cannot fall asleep with a stranger in the room. Especially when it's a girl." Faith chuckled and said, "Once I was in a similar situation."

"Zeus and I, we both travel a lot, and we find many injured adventurers and travelers in the forest. So we take them to the guild or nearby town," Faith continued.

"There, I fell asleep with a girl in the room. And when I woke up, the girl was taking off Zeus' clothes when he was sleeping. After that, I promised myself that I would never let a girl come near him."

"Shut up!" Emilia raised her hand and stabbed the dagger into Faith's face, but she stopped an inch before.

"Why did you stop?" Faith asked. "If you want to kill me, then go ahead. I can feel strong resentment coming from you. I must have done something terrible to you."

"Not to me! You betrayed Nero!" Emilia yelled.

"Who is… Nero?"

"I am talking about Zeus! You betrayed him on your marriage day and left him for Lucifer!"

Tears rolled down Faith's eyes after hearing that. She fell on the couch and muttered, "I would… never do something like that."

"But you did!" Emilia roared and smacked herself on the chest a couple of times before saying, "I am the proof!"

"What…" Faith looked up at Emilia's face and asked with a broken voice: "What… you… mean…"

Emilia bit her lips, and she bit them so hard that they started bleeding.

"I am your and Lucifer's daughter!"

"That's impossible!" Faith yelled. "I would rather die than betray Zeus. He is my everything!"

"But you did!"

Faith grabbed Emilia's hand, which was holding the dagger, and said, "If that's true, then kill me now. I don't want to live in a world where Zeus and I can't be together."
